Joey McQueen was a failed pop star who, once his one hit wonder and 15 minutes of fame were over, decided to make a living as a David Bowie impersonator. He lived to be Bowie and was Ziggy Stardust, on stage and off. True, he was just a one hit wonder, who didn't progress musically like Bowie, but he didnt give up or walk away and was much more than a tribute act. Then one day Joey won GBP123 million pounds on the lottery. Suddenly he has the chance to make all his dreams come true. He decided to transform himself into the world`s number one David Bowie impersonator. Pop historians are somewhat cruel in their assessment of Joey, and their treatment of his contribution to the story book of rock is a scandal, but then Joey never was meant to appeal to them. His audience was Bowie fans, they were his public. Joey says: "Until there was David Bowie, I only had real life.
