Crystal Dawn

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

    Jericho

    The Strong Pack 1

Jericho is Aristotle’s son and future alpha of the Strong pack. He’s not the settling down type which isn’t uncommon with alpha wolves who have long life spans. He goes on a blind date assuming T.J. is a pity date. He is surprised in more ways than one when not only is she knock his socks off gorgeous, but she turns out to be his soul mate. What follows is an attempt to woo a very resistant mate and a situation that seems funny to everyone but Jericho and T.J. Other forces want to keep them apart, but Jericho’s heart is set on T.J., and he won’t let her go without a fight. It’s a fight his father backs all the way.

While all this wooing and protecting is going on, T.J.’s sister makes an unexpected and rare visit. Aristotle sees Sherona and immediately knows she is his soul mate. The problem is she’s a writer and perhaps an adrenaline junkie since she goes to the most dangerous places in the world for her stories. He tries to protect her by sending a guide to follow and watch over her, but he is at the end of his rope. Next time she comes to see T.J. she will have Aristotle to deal with.

    Aristotle

    The Strong Pack 2

Sherona finally comes home. Now the struggle begins as she tries to fight fate and Aristotle’s desire to make her his. She’s drawn to him, so she has to fight herself too. On top of that, danger follows them, threatening their lives at every turn. Nothing new for Sherona but what is new is the fear for the people she cares about including one stubborn risk taking alpha.

When they finally manage to work out their relationship, Aristotle’s youngest son comes home bitter and inundated with hate towards anyone who is different. They will have to work hard learning to be together before they can help Judah work out his angst.

    The Strong Pack 3

    Judah

He found her alone and he made a beeline for her. She had been driving him crazy for a few weeks now and he had come up with a plan to finally be free of the desperate need he felt whenever he saw or even thought about her. She was leaned up against the wall on the porch just looking out at the darkness surrounding them. She clearly had something on her mind and hadn’t noticed his approach. Mal looked up, finally noticing him now that he was nearly upon her. Just proof as far as he was concerned of why white wolves were inferior wolves, but he wanted her anyway.

He surged forward, his hands landing on either side of her head boxing her in. He leaned in close, close enough to place his nose where her neck met her shoulder and he inhaled long and deep. He growled, her scent was amazing, it drove his want higher. He pulled back and this time he moved in lips first. She just stared at him as if amazed he dared. Oh, but he did and this wasn’t all he longed to do. He brushed his lips over hers lightly, but it wasn’t enough. He wondered if it ever would be but he had to be cured of this yearning.

He moved in for a kiss that would seal his fate and let her know what he wanted from her. He kissed her with the desire that had rode him hard since the second he had seen her. He claimed her lips with an enthusiasm that couldn’t be faked or matched. He pulled back, his heart beating like a drum, his breath in uncontrolled pants.

Let’s fuck this wanting out of our bodies so we can be free of each other. He whispered.

He wasn’t prepared for the response he received. Her eyes darkened to black which fascinated him and maybe he would have expected what she did, had he not been busy staring into those incredible eyes. She punched him on his jaw so hard he moved back at least two feet. He could see the anger that she literally shook with as her look seemed to freeze him in place.

Don’t come near me again. She said, her voice hard as steel. He stood there staring after her stunned and wondering where he had gone wrong. As for staying away, that was never going to happen.

    Kaleb

Kaleb had hungered after his mate, but she hadn’t known he existed. He did what any male would do, he had turned his back on her and slaked his lust on the big selection of females available to him. She had just hurt him one time too many and now he didn’t care what she did.

Sandy knew Kaleb was her fated mate, but she had her reasons to avoid emotional attachments. Too late she discovered there would never be any happiness for her, without him. As she packed up to move away, she had no idea that danger tracked her. Without the protection of her pack, she would be easy pickings.

Would Kaleb come to save his mate when push came to shove, or would he settle for the hard and fast life he’d fallen into?

    Prologue

Sandy knew she was a fool. She was the worst kind of fool because she had once held everything in the palm of her hand and thrown it away. Even with the advice of those closest to her, she’d proceeded with her ill-advised actions until there was no hope to ever recapture what had once been.

Now that she was finally awake and aware of all the pain she’d inflicted, she was on the receiving end. There was no way to live with what was playing out under her eyes. It was time to leave this place and put her past behind her.

TJ had tried to change her mind, Sherona and Mal as well. It was no use because she never took good advice. That was why she was a complete fool unable to ever again find any true happiness. She did agree to go to Ariel, just for a short period of adjustment until she braved the world on her own. It was a hard choice for a pack animal, to be all alone.

    Chapter 1

    A Friend

She was lost right now, and she knew she and Sandy would be friends always, but her leaving was hitting hard. Nothing seemed to help, and Sandy wouldn’t be talked out of her decision. It was a bad one which everyone, but Sandy could see. Maybe Sandy even knew it was and chose to carry on anyway. That girl had always lacked the wisdom to take good advice.

Her mate, Jericho who also happened to be the alpha heir, had even tried to talk to Kaleb. He’d explained Sandy was a changed she-wolf. If Kaleb didn’t try to claim her now, she would be gone.

Sometimes it’s too late to go back. Kaleb said.

It was time to say the last goodbye before Sandy hit the road in her old car. She was uncertain what would happen to her friend once she was on her own. At least for a short time she would stay with Ariel. Maybe her cousin would talk some sense into Sandy. One problem with expecting that was Ariel rarely came out and said anything. She hinted around and Sandy wasn’t good at ferreting out answers on her own. Sandy was a straight shooter and expected the same in return.

Kaleb had disappeared even though almost everyone else gathered for the going away dinner Aristotle had thrown for Sandy. Come on, Girl. Everyone is waiting for you. She observed.

Everyone but the one that matters the most. Sandy commented sadly. That it was her own fault would only make things hurt more so she said nothing.

I heard cook was fixing all your favorites. He doesn’t want you to leave. If you do go, he hopes you’ll miss his food and be lured back.

He knows Ariel’s cook is very good too. Sandy pointed out.

Yes, but you won’t be there long. Then you’ll be cooking your own food which we all know is awful. She declared making a face. The girl couldn’t cook at all. Her food was burned, half raw, or just messed up.

Okay, I’m all packed and ready to load. The guys can come get it all and we’ll go eat. I kinda hate that everyone is there. It makes me feel bad that they went through the trouble to throw me a party.

You know the pack, any excuse is a good one. She giggled nervously. Damn, that hadn’t come out right. Nothing seemed to sound right today. Maybe that was only to be expected since this was her best friend leaving.

She rarely had those dreams the other white wolves did. But she’d had one repeatedly that Sandy was in. A dark evil followed her when she left here. It eyed her from a distance as she stayed at Ariel’s waiting for her to leave so it could attack her. Was it a real premonition or just her own bad feelings about Sandy going?

They headed down to the dining room, the noise of a crowd coming their way. The walls had been removed to open the common and private dining rooms for the party. This place was packed as they stood in the doorway.

Looks like you’re popular. Eve, a new pack member brought in from a rogue group said.

She was raised here. That’s no surprise. Donna, one of Eve’s buddies said.

Sandy is loved, being raised here doesn’t ensure that. Sherona replied from behind them. They both jumped and looked guilty

Sorry, Alpha. They said before skittering off.

Those two aren’t integrating well. Sherona declared with a heavy sigh. I wish you would stay. These new people need all the help they can get.

I know you can handle them. It takes time to adjust to a new outlook. The atmosphere they came from was one of looking out for yourself. Now they are where that’s frowned on. It’s pack first here. Sandy observed.

You’re right. That’s what you could help with. There’s so many of them. I’m not sure we haven’t taken on more than we can chew. Sherona stated.

She agreed. So many renegades and rogues they had to retrain, some of whom didn’t want to change their ways. It was a recipe for disaster, and they were losing Sandy. She always stepped up to help out with new members. There were so many things Sandy did well, just not her love life.

Tables sat around them full of foods of all kinds. A large screen TV sat with a movie going. Children were in another room watching cartoons and pack members took turns watching them. It was a typical party in many ways, except this one didn’t celebrate anything. To her it was the saddest day she’d had in a while.

Jericho came up behind her and she felt his arms wrap around her. She’d known he was near, she just felt his presence. It was a comfort to her as he intended it to be. Even though she feared this decision was a mistake on Sandy’s part, she prayed it would be otherwise. As much as she knew she would miss her friend, it would be alright if she knew this would lead to her happiness.

She wasn’t so selfish that she would refuse whatever was best for her. She just knew this wasn’t it. Sandy was a stubborn thing sometimes. Kaleb could have put a stop to
