About this ebook
The Wedding Banquet
The Wedding Banquet, seek to reach out to the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ poetically.
It describes the preparations of the church, who is the bride of the Lamb in readiness for the wedding supper.
I started by acknowledging God and the remarkable deeds of His Son, Jesus in the poem, A note to God.
I then proceeded to introduce you to who Jesus is and how powerful the name Jesus is in the poem, This Name Jesus.
After giving your life to Jesus, I give you an opportunity to tell the world what happened the day you got saved in the poem, The Day I was Born Again.
Now, you are on the path to Heaven and because of euphoria brought by salvation, a revelation dawn on you that you are a child of the Most High through the poem I belong to God.
With that knowledge in mind, you start blooming in the garden of salvation and the poem, Beautiful Rose attests to the fact that you are indeed born again.
I then whisper in your ear, “friend, to grow deeper in faith, you need WORD.” Without leaving you to hang in the balance, I give you a Bible in the poem, Word? Or World?
As you continue to journey on, you begin to face temptations. The enemy wrestles your mind leading you to the poem, The Mind.
Well, you know that the thoughts of your mind define you, don’t you? You soon drift to flesh and you find the poem, The Flesh which teaches you that even if it is the temple of God, it likes things God hates. This results to sickness.
I come back again to remind you that though you are born again and spirit filled, the poem, Sick Saint adds salt to the injury.
Sickness brings pain allover your body hence the poem, Pain.
The pain becomes intense and the poem, Flowing Tears begins to roll tears down your chicks in waves.
While in pain and tears, a revelation dawn on you that God is greater than what you are going through.
A song comes in your heart through the poem, When the Lord Intervenes. Then you start praying for Him to intervene in the poem, The Warrior.
You cover your life with the blood of Jesus in the poem, Rare Blood.
The poem, Praise Him ushers you into praise. Suddenly, God’s favor floods your life in the poem, Favor Flavors. Your spiritual eyes finally opens in the poem, Blind Bartimaeus .
The journey goes on and on and on. It can take a life time and finally after you’ve worked out your salvation with fear and trembling, a wedding supper is prepared in your honor. You become the bride and the Lord your Bridegroom who later takes you to The Wedding Banquet.
