    David Sloan better known as his penned name D P Sloan has been writing since he was sixteen years old. Born and bred in Glasgow, Scotland. His first short story was penned the next morning after he had a nightmare, he called it, 'Don't Go Out There,' it introduced his family to a dark side of David where he created a character called, Frank Nelson. After many months of writing and seeking help from one of his English teachers, he changed the story about and introduced more characters, he re-titled the story, 'The Frank Nelson Story,' and introduced a character called, Kane Nelson. After many months (and years) of not bothering with the story and only doing short stories, it festered at the bottom of a drawer until he married his current wife Rachael. She encouraged him to complete the story but change things about, make it a 21st Century piece of work. His wife came up with the characters however D P Sloan wanted to inject his character into the story but he looked at both Frank Nelson and Kane Nelson and it just wouldn't work. Later on he was watching a horror movie called, See No Evil. its main star was a wrestler from America called Kane (real name Glen Jacobs) and it came to him the name that would scare a town, strike fear in the heart of people, his name was, Jacob Kane and alongside him the most deprived serial killer to ever grace the books since Buffalo Bill, a man that recruits Jacob in a bid to start a campaign of murder in the sleepy town of Clydebank that man being, Zach Light. And so the book was writing and the title changed to, Go To Sleep the first in a series of books. Go To Sleep came out in Spring 2014 followed closely in Halloween 2015 by Go To Sleep 2, the follow up picking up where part 1 ended. Go To Sleep is a tale of 3 Killers, 2 brothers and 1 revenge. Where the town of Clydebank which was built on history - now is stalked by a killer. D P Sloan lives in Clydebank just outside Glasgow in Scotland with his wife Rachael and their twins Rebecca & Ryan and their three cats, Honey, Freddy and Tucky. When asked about how he came up with such a terrifying novel, D P Sloan said his main influences are Stephen King, R.L.Stine, Clive Barker, Wes Craven, Sean S.Cunningham, John Carpenter and in the music industry, Eminem, Dr Dre and 50 Cent. He loves his gore movies from the likes of Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento and rates Cannibal Holocaust by Ruggero Deodato as one of the best movies ever made. He is a huge horror fan and Rap/Hip-Hop fan. When he isn't working his main job, D P Sloan creates short stories of what he shares on his Facebook page.
