About this ebook
An animal sanctuary is a great place to be raised—far better than the alternative. This is another collection of animal stories, but they're all new, and like before, some are funny, some are sad.
The one thing they have in common is that they're all true. And this time, the range of animals has been extended to include other species.
As always, all proceeds go to the animal sanctuary to help feed and care for them. So open up your heart and enjoy the read.

Mama Cat, a Stray That Had an Impact
Everybody seems to have an opinion about feral cats, and usually it's a low opinion. I had never experienced a feral cat until a few years ago. It all started in the summer of 2012.
My wife and I were sitting on the side porch sharing an after-dinner cup of coffee, when she pointed toward the barn and said, Look at that, in the corner. It looks like a cat.
I leaned forward and squinted. It is a cat,
I said. I wonder where it came from.
For the next several nights, we continued to see the cat and, about a week later, it came closer. Look at that cat's belly,
Mikki said. I think she's pregnant.
A few weeks later, we discovered Mikki was right. The cat delivered five kittens in the hay under our barn overhang. Below is a picture of a few of them a couple weeks afterward.
Shy inspecting something
Shy (who is anything but shy) seemed to be the most adventurous of the kittens. From early on, she was eager to inspect almost any place and any thing.

Curious Boing
No matter how we tried, Mama Cat (as Mikki had come to call her) would not let us near those kittens. She hid them in the barn behind a stack of shelves. Then she hid them in a shed behind the barn. And she hid them in stacks
