    INSIDE JOB AND OTHER STORIES is a collection of four short stories. "Inside Job," set in the early 80's, joins Johnny and Pauline in their struggle to leave their old mob-filled world behind and run away together starting a new life in a new city. But not before they fill a few holes in the desert first. In "Like Friends, like Family," Vince has a turn for the worse after being shot by his best friend's daughter. After he rushes over to his best friends, Archie and Eliza's house, they realize they've got to finish what they started before they're seen as the bad guys in all of this. in "Unfinished Business," Leroy relives his worst nightmare - walking in on his family right before they were murdered in cold blood. After he awakes from a car wreck that prompted him to relive his nightmare, it's pouring down rain, and he's lucky to find someone to hitch a ride from. He soon realizes though, that maybe he should've just walked. In "A Husband's Love," Stacy has grown accustomed to living alone after her husband's death. A tragic accident turned her world upside down, leaving her with Lucy the golden retriever, her only companion left. Just as she got used to the quiet, the unexplainable sounds started up again. Could it be her husband? Could his love truly be able to reach her now, and for always? Or is a demon preying on the weak and the hopeful? Dive into INSIDE JOB AND OTHER STORIES to find out these thrilling fates, but leave room for the unexpected. No one likes to be predictable.

      Inside Job

      Johnny picked Pauline up and wrapped her legs around his waist, bringing her to the nearest bed in the room. He threw her down on the striped comforter, undoing the motel maid’s hard work. She threw her head back and laughed, his warm breath and tongue tickling her ear.

      A loud banging knock on the door startled them and Johnny jolted up from his position on top of Pauline. She didn’t move from the bed, but Johnny made his way to the door.

      They knocked again, three times, all louder than the one before. Vegas PD, open up!
