    Jimi Hendrix

    Jimi Hendrix was an American songwriter, singer, and guitarist who was born on 27th November 1942 but later died on 18th September 1970. Hendrix’s full birth names were Johnny Allen Hendrix. The name ‘Jimi’ comes from James Marshall. Hendrix was born in Seattle DC Washington. However, Jimi started playing guitar when he was aged 15 years. Also in the year 1961, he was enlisted in the army where he undertook training as a paratrooper. Soon he was discharged honorably in the following year.

    Hendrix career as a singer and popular guitarist only spanned four years. Jimi Hendrix is referred to as one of the most talented and best guitarists of all time in the music history. He is the most celebrated artist of the 20th century. According to Rock and roll hall of fame he was the greatest and the best instrumentalist for rock music.

    Unique features of Jimi Hendrix

    He was a left-handed guitarist who played a righthanded guitar upside down. Hendrix loved using an electronic sound guitar when performing. During his era, he was the best star who wore the best afro style. He had a diverse heritage of his grandmother being an African-American. He created ballads such as little wing, Angel and The Wind Cries Mary. Hendrix’s vocals were as evocative as his excellent guitar playing. Jimi was a drug addict as is highlighted in this article.
