SALESMAN CREDO
Being a salesman is something to be proud of! Because thousands of people like me, helped build this country. A master carpenter, could be considered the best table maker in the world but if no one knows about his craft. We can expect no one will come knocking on his door to buy one. Without us… he would die of hunger. No matter how good the product or service is, you need to sell it.
The great inventor Thomas Alva Edison had to start as a salesman for necessity. Working for free during his early years. This was way before anyone started using his greatest invention, the electric light. Due to fear, people avoided using the railroad. Many others refused to use cars, they believed that at a speed of 30 mph, their blood would stop circulating.
We have helped evolve the world. Our profession was as vital in those years as it is now and it will be as long as there are people on this planet. This profession will never become obsolete!
We have made the companies increase their profits. Brought tranquility and comfort to thousands of homes. As well as luxuries such as cars, computers, televisions, refrigerators and air conditioners. We have lowered the prices and increased the quality of everything. Healed the sick and secured the elderly. Provided education and jobs for many. We have made the inventors work, the factories produce and the ships sail the seven seas.
It depends on us that at the end of the day you receive your paycheck to support your family. You can travel in a plane at the speed of sound, thanks to us. We provide the bread that feeds your family. We achieved this by selling the wheat, harvested by the farmers, to the big mills. And then by selling the flour to the bakers.
We are the only ones who bring profits to the companies, everything else is an expense! Without us … the big wheels of industry would stop. Jobs, education, comforts and a better world, would be only a dream.
With pride I aknowledge that I am a salesman!
And as such, I serve my family …
my fellow citizens…
and my homeland.
THE IRREVOCABLE CONTRACT
The Price of Transformation
Instructions: Sign and read for twenty-one continuous days. The witness must be a very important person in your life.
ON THIS DAY I PROMISE:
To start a new stage, to do more with my life, and to reach the greatness that exists within me. A greatness that is waiting to be used.
Today I will stop running away from myself and I will never fail again. This is the day when I finally have the courage to face the circumstances and the problems. And I will defeat them one at a time. I will not take the easy way again.
I will sacrifice temporary pleasures by disciplining my physical and emotional appetites. To achieve excellence in my efforts and to get closer to my goal.
I will nourish my mind with information. And my spirit with positivism and enthusiasm. And in my continuous journey, I will not allow my mind to swerve since I have the willpower to avoid it.
Today, I also renounce to laziness, ignorance, weakness of character and other bad habits. Traits that plunge the human being into the darkness of mediocrity and conformism.
I will pay the price to reach this goal because I know that the pain of failure is bigger than any sacrifice or work.
I know that by signing this contract I am taking a very important step in my life. Because by doing so, I will be ready to continue with my next goal and for the first time I will in control of my destiny
I will finally begin to be happy fulfilling my dreams. And I will leave all the lies and excuses in the past.
I will no longer settle for the alms provided by life to survive. I was born to succeed. And today I know that the great doors of happiness, wealth and tranquility will open for me and for my loved ones.
If I do not follow this contract, then I deserve life to treat me as it has done up to now.

INTRODUCTION
After twenty-one years, and having directly trained more than one million salesmen in America. And several million more through my books, audios, and videos. I realize that the profession called sales will never become obsolete.
This book isn’t meant to motivate you nor inspire you. It aims to teach you how to close a sale and how to stop being an ordinary salesman and become an extraordinary closer.
I have traveled through Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago de Chile; Asunción, Paraguay; Bogota, Colombia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Panama, Panama; and in Mexico, through the cities of Mexico, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Then in the United States, through Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and hundreds of other cities in my twenty-one year career as an instructor in sales. And I found out, that in all those cities, there are companies looking for experienced salesmen.
Even if you learn nothing from this book, try to at least remember THE EQUATION OF CLOSING and take it to practice.
Welcome to the world of closers.
There are three points to remember:
Never underestimate the power of hunger. And after appeasing the physical hunger, don’t forget the intellectual hunger. Always keep learning.
