E.S. E’Lappelle’
E.S.E'LAPPELLE was born in Northern Victoria into Australian farming families, working hard to provide for their families, instilling a strong sense of family and work ethic. A nineties girl, life was full of enterprise, the sky was the limit; all nineties girls knew this. Cultivating hope and a sense of fun became the message to promote in audacious nieces, nephews and all people surrounding. This inspired the writing as many golden moments to share with everyday families, people who love the humour that pervades everything growing up. Whether you were raised into wealth or suffer poor health, laughter and love with a spirit of unity is what gets all of us through. “She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future" Proverbs 31:25 Read these stories to remember your youth, to laugh when life is draining you, to empower you, always seeing the good humour that tiny mice inspire, laugh out loud, honour it, share it if you can and fill up the holes in the Cheese.

21st Century Mice - E.S. E’Lappelle’
The Sweet Adventures of Mazz, the Lovely
Just a regular day in the fun life of Mazz MouseProud. Grandmouse and Grandpoo were pottering about. Mazz liked to watch her afternoon television. It was her time to catch up on world events, and it was a lovely plan, until one fine day…
No Grandpoo! Stay away from the television! Olivia is on soon and I don’t want to miss it!
Mazz gained control of the television remote, spreading her arms out, with her crossest expression to ward off the interruption to her afternoon entertainment. Grandpoo would have to wait this time!
Earlier in time, the remote would have been hidden, ever so swiftly, with one quick glance over her little furry shoulder, into her mystery basket where all her treasures lay.
Mice003What is happening with this game; it’s not working!?
After several attempts to master the game of the frog leaping over his lily pad, Mazz showed her cross face. Screwing up her cute little nose, she announced:
This is Adiculous!
Singing seemed to be the only thing guaranteed to lift Mazz MouseProud out of a stinky mood: songs from the olden days, songs from the theatre shows, with a lot of jazzy pizazz.
Aunty, can I sing you a song from the olden days?
Sure!
"Doo doo doo, doo doo dood da lootle doo, the final countdown…doo doo doot dodo… it’s the final countdown!...
Excellent! Do you know any others?
, Aunty Clarice asked.
"Sure I do... listen to this one… (her arms began waving in the air).
I wanna be rich like what’s his name, I’ll keep the money, you can have the fame! What’s yours will soon be mine… I wanna to be kissed from head to toe, by that mouse in the very next row, want a piece of heaven before I die... here comes the 21st century, it’s gotta be much better for a mouse like me, I want everything I can, but most of all I want that man! I want that man!
Ya ya… you were great, Mazz
.
I know.
Aunty, can I ask you a question?
Sure
.
It’s something that’s been worrying me, about the olden days, and the day the music died…
The day the music died?
The mouseicians that passed away, in a plane, leaving that song. Isn’t their wives sad?
Oh, the song! Of course… Mazz, let me tell you the story and the lesson behind thinking things through properly and assessing all the options… and Mazz, there are always other options…
Aunty smiled at her sweet-hearted niece.
Driving along in the mousemobile is always an adventure with the MouseProud girls. Mazz watched the scenery go by...
Stop the Mousemobile!
What is going on back there?
, Aunt Clarice asked.
Stop right now. It is a CUBBYHOUSE!
We cannot stop for a cubby house Mazz. If you need one, you will have to ask your Papa Mouse -- he needs to buy that
.
mmmmsmmm… please God… cubby house… sandwich… today…
What is she doing? Is she praying?
, Grandmouse asked incredulously.
She is bypassing her papa and going straight to the top on this one… obviously
.
Visiting Uncle Rad was always a treat. Uncle Rad loves his nieces very much and always has time for surfing adventures.
Uncle Rad had invited the family for a surfing holiday, a fun time for little Mazzi as she loves Uncle Rad and enjoys playing in the water with her snorkel gear.
On arrival to Rad’s place, they were greeted by angry snarls from a character foreign to anyone Mazz had met in her life… Quizzing her mother, she looked up and asked, Is it a cat?
No Honey, it’s just an angry little dog. We will just leave it alone
, Mumma Mouse said. Meh.
Mazz also spent time with an honorary uncle she called Macen
. Macen is a sporty uncle, with his golf clubs in his pocket and a cheeky wink whenever he saw her.
Aunty, you are the best! Macen… you are just trouble.
Huh! There you are Macen, you’re completely sussed out!
Aunty laughed, as it was only too true. Uncle Mace with his cheeky nature, was a troublemouser.
One day,
