About this ebook

When Ally embarks on a night of Halloween fun, she envisions herself escaping reality at one of the trendiest nightclubs in town.

Armed with her girlfriends, Ally is having the time of her life. When, unexpectedly, she finds herself drawn to a mysterious stranger. His sensuous lips smiles at her, and he leans casually against the bar. Beckoning.

She was mesmerized; Her friends, not as much.

There was something peculiar about him.

Yet, despite her friends' objections, Ally follows him towards the back, and out the door. Standing in a dim alley, her heart racing, she pursues him, and soon realizes that her world will never be quite the same again.

I couldn't finish it. I tried, really I tried, but the editing was, well, there was no editing. The story seemed generic, and there was no real connection to the characters. The whole premise on how Ally gets bitten is absurd in the extreme- what kind of vampire bites another person just because they're in a vampire costume on halloween? come on now. Unfortunately, about a quarter of the way through, I had to delete it off my Kindle.

Alice Korman is one of the stupidest women in literary history. Who see a man at a club (doesn't even meet him), follows him out at 2 am and down dark alleys at that, then goes to his home with barely an introduction. I get love at first sight, but this was just dumb.I do not recommend this book to anyone. It found it very immature and poorly written. The phrasing, punctuation, grammar, and repetition made me feel like a 12 year old wrote this book.I downloaded book 1 and 2 for free at the same time. But I don't think I want to bother with book 2.

CHAPTER ONE

Ally Korman absolutely loved Halloween. She enjoyed the carving of pumpkins, the spooky decorations, the sexy and devilish costumes, playing pranks, telling scary stories and everything else in between. When she was a little girl, she thought it was the best celebration ever; Ally would dress up as a princess, and sometimes as a fairy, go trick-or-treating with her friends and receive free candy from her neighbors. For one glorious day, she needn’t abide to the rule Don’t take candy from strangers. That advice was blissfully thrown out the window! Truthfully, Ally always wondered why Christmas was usually the preferred holiday by so many.

From her young perspective, the beauty of Halloween was that it got straight to the point; Fun, chocolates, jawbreakers and costumes! Christmas, on the other hand, always meant getting together with her weird and somewhat annoying family. Having to humiliatingly sing Christmas carols in public, and constantly being asked if she had been a good girl that year; since Santa was checking his list. And no matter what her gifts were, after an hour or two, Ally always grew bored with them. Weren’t those the days!

Now, at the age of twenty-five, Ally had moved onto bigger and better things. Every year, on Halloween, she and her girlfriends would dress up to the latest, hottest costumes and hit the club, most notably Flambé. She truly LIVED for theme parties and, unlike those wicked sugary candies she collected greedily as a child, today’s festive occasions were, somewhat, calorie-free. She hoped, this year, would be more promising than the last.

Of course, having made such a declaration, something had to go wrong. A week before she bought her costume, everything was going according to plans... until her boy-friend decided to dump her. Surprisingly, Ally didn’t seem too bothered by the breakup. David and Ally were an item for only eight months, and things between them grew stale. For the past months, David kept pestering Ally by repeating that he needed to find himself. Find himself? Where was he going to do that? She scoffed. Ally knew a bullshit excuse when she heard it, but she let it slide, all the while knowing something was up. One rumor was that he became more and more interested in a co-worker named Rebecca. And Rebecca’s name kept popping up in conversations, his social media (She was an avid liker) and even from David’s own mother: "How is that wonderful Rebecca doing, Dave?" Not quite as subtle as it should have been.

Although, the breakup was a small, unexpected snag to her plans, she remained unfazed. In fact, the only down side about that whole situation was that a change of costume became necessary.

Before all the drama occurred, she was initially planning to dress up as Little Bo Peep; she wanted to portray herself as a sweet, innocent girl who loved animals. An approachable fantasy without needing to show off too much skin. Well, that was now out of the question! She no longer wanted to be cute. She wanted a killer costume that would dazzle every guy she was going to meet at the club. She spent a few days heavily weighing her options, and finally decided to go as a sexy vampire. The concept was perfect! She would be seductive, hypnotic and potentially lethal.

It was eleven o’clock, by the time she was ready to leave, and boy, was she late. Two hours late! Ally realized that if she didn’t hurry the hell up, she might as well forget about finding Mr. Perfect and just call it a night before wasting money on cab fare.  She was so tired of the type of guys she has met so far in her life. None of them lived up to be the man she dreamt of and she was hardly ever sorry to see them go.  She wanted someone who would share some of her interests, one who would challenge her, make her feel alive. She didn’t want to have to settle for mediocrity. She knew it was time to take life by the horns and find him.

Remembering her most important prop, she spotted the cheap plastic fangs she bought yesterday. She tried them on and admitted they were not very convincing. She figured she might as well toss them. She knew she was just going to stuff them in her purse if she met the right guy, anyway. Plus, she didn’t like how they made her slobber. Kind of like a St. Bernard.

Grabbing a pair of hot-red Stilettos, she practiced a few steps, all the while reminding herself that
