()
About this ebook
Welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven, where adorable little angels deliver infants to their parents and where their young prince Amor sends arrows to the hearts of kids and adults living on the planet named Earth. Attending the heavenly school, the adorable young child knows that his homework is to gift love, but in his quiver there is no arrow intended for his own loving heart. However, in the abominable castle on a desolate hill, together with his wise and silly counselors, the king of darkness, afraid that Amor and his friends may destroy his authority over the world of children and their dreams and feelings, prepares his cruel plans to punish the king of little angels with the flames of love instilled into his tender heart. The old prophecy tells that if there could be found at least one kid wholeheartedly believing in white-winged adorable creatures serving God the Father and His Son and capable of defending his faith, his hope and his love, then the king of little angels may be cured.
The second part of the story tells about the Christmas adventures of the good old wizard from Lapland. Which of us doesn’t like getting his gift on the saint holiday, but what the chaos is happening in the home of the grandfather of little angels and why were the fairy police and ghostbusters forced to interrogate nearly every villain from nearly every fairy tale of the world? There’s definitely someone who likes Santa’s gifts more than anything else, but the theft of his gifts is now threatening him with retirement. Will little angels be able to defend their Grandpa?

THE KIDS DELIVERY AGENCY AND THE KING OF DARKNESS
The day was windy – and white clouds were travelling across the blue sky, like a flotilla of toy ships in a boundless ocean. Sun showed its dazzling shining face, lazily yawning, washing itself with dewdrops, illuminating everything around with its happiness, and dispelling the magic charms of the necromancer named Night. The morning light warmed the houses of birds as cuckoos in their alarm-clocks notified them that they had to start waking their young chicks and invite them to have breakfast in the form of delicious caterpillars, butterflies, bugs, and worms caught by their loving parents.
In a family of storks, Stork Dad was standing near to the mirror, adjusting his tie and speaking to his wife.
Honey, it’s time to wake our little kids.
Stork Mom was near to a stove, with a fascinating apron on herself and holding a frying-pan in her wings.
Oh, I think that the kids have already awoken. Don’t you hear their voices?
Several young stork children appeared in the kitchen, and Stork Dad sat down behind the table.
Good morning, Mommy. Good morning, Daddy.
Stork Mom gently smiled, looking at kids, and the grownups embraced their children and kissed them.
Good morning, our darlings.
Daddy, will you have dinner with us today?
I’m afraid, I can’t. But believe me, honey, I’d be happy to stay here together with you for dinner, because your Mommy has cooked delicious frogs.
The grownups looked at each other with love in their eyes, and then Stork Dad was speaking to their kids again.
Don’t you know that your Mom always plans the best ration for our kids? Let us pray to the Lord before eating.
The kids and Stork Mom closed their eyes, and the family started praying.
Dear Lord, Thank You that this day You remember about us birds. We neither sow nor reap, we have neither storehouse nor barn, and You feed us. Thank You for that. Amen.
Stork Dad smiled when he heard the kids saying Amen
, and embraced them.
Well, I have to go away. Listen to your Mommy. I love you, my darlings.
We love you too, Daddy.
At the airport in Heaven, in one of the terminals, storks appeared to be some fantastical airplanes from a fairy tale, scribbling the surface of the sky that was looking like flamingo plumage, and leaving intricate hieroglyphs of messages to future Moms and Dads, as they were delivering the most valuable and treasurable parcels with newborn kids to their recipients, arriving to and departing from a wonderful place where adorable little angels served as air traffic controllers.
A young white dragon looking like marshmallow made of absorbent cotton was standing on his knees on a white cloud next to a cradle where, through his funny laughter, a newborn infant was ardently and fervently spreading his joy for his having come into the world.
How loud he is,
the dragon said to a boy and a girl with golden wings behind their backs, surrounding the crib together with the storks, as he was gently breathing flames of fire in the air, attempting to ensure that the kid was not cold. They were in a very large and comfortable room alight with the glory and the power of the Creator; and the title over the entrance hall, written in calligraphic handwriting over a blue ribbon, said "Kingdom of Heaven, Kids Delivery Agency – Express Delivery of Babies to their Parents by Air Mail."
You were also loud when you were born, Gerlibert,
the girl leaned her elbows against the edge of the crib and pillowed her admirable face in them, all smiling. He looks like a little angel, doesn’t he?
The boy nodded and looked at the tableau informing of the schedule of storks’ arrivals and departures.
We have to hurry up, Gloria. Storks have already announced that boarding is in process, and we haven’t yet gone through the customs.
The girl looked at a tunnel leading to the terminal and the landing strip – and there was sorrow in her eyes. The moments when she had to say goodbye to the little babies of whom she was so painstakingly taking care by the will of the Lord, being their guardian in Heaven, always made her smile through tears. She was bringing happiness of parenthood to people living somewhere in the other world that she had only occasionally heard of at lessons in geography, when attending the school for angels, as of a planet named Earth. Her favorite teacher Ms. Angela, a quite strict lecturer, underlined that there existed an interplanetary agreement between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Earth under whose terms the Kids Delivery Agency was gifting a very special kind of vegetables to grownups among humans – cabbages with their future little kids. Gloria always rejoiced in her prayers to Jesus that babies obtained parents. But she couldn’t say why needles of pain were always piercing her tender heart like daggers and swords when she was looking at inexorably vacillating images of storks flying away with parcels to the line of the horizon separating the two worlds, as if she was forced to sign under an adoption agreement and give her own child to an ugly ogre eating kids for supper.
Don’t forget to take a delivery confirmation from the child’s parents,
Gloria said with a gentle smile, speaking to the dragon, and kissed the infant on his tender little cheek, taking him from his cradle and laying on a snow-white blanket.
I will, my princess,
Gerlibert replied in an official manner, as if he was reporting to a queen.
Really?
the girl frowned, but that only made her wonderful angelic face more beautiful. We have not received any notice from storks at least two recent times. Our Kids Delivery Agency may become closed by God the Father if He sees that we badly take care of little children.
Don’t be angry with him, Gloria. You know that he always delivers babies carefully,
Dream defended his best friend. I check it. Those kids’ Moms and Dads were simply not at home – and we had to leave babies wrapped in cabbage, in the yard next to the doors of their homes, as we always do when future parents are busy. And we live in the XXI century,
Dream said jokingly, and the sound of his laughter became purling of a river. Nowadays, we even receive parents’ prayers by electronic mail.
Far, far away from that room, a little angel with wonderful blond hair and brown eyes, so sweet, so adorable, was shepherding hundreds, thousands and millions of people’s hearts, both small and great, on a lawn right in Heaven, among the white clouds in the blue skies, leading them to a fountain of water, gently sniggering as he was looking at their shyly following him as if they were sheep afraid to become astray. Wherever his feet left trace, clouds were kneeling to worship the young king of little angels. Wherever he looked at, flowers started blossoming there, even if those were stones. Whenever he laughed, the birds of Heaven started singing in accompaniment with his voice, as if they were in a conservatoire of God the Father. Whenever he smiled, rainbows were painted on the canvas of the sky so fascinatingly.
The kid took one of the little hearts in his hands and gently kissed. When he returned it to the flock, he sat down, and behind his back there appeared a satchel. On a cloud next to him, there was a quiver with arrows made of pure gold, and the young king of angels suddenly had a bow in his hands. Amor, for this was the name of the child, took his satchel off, got his school diary out of there, opened it and started leafing through.
My homework for today is…
the kid pursed his lips and found the page he was searching for. Oh, to bring love to little hearts, as usually.
He giggled, laid the diary aside, took his bow in his hands and looked around. I’m in love myself, aren’t I? I’m in love with this world.
The nature appeared to be listening carefully to the child, being fascinated by his words, and the voice of waterfalls in the Garden of Eden became like a whisper. I’m in love with God the Father and His Son. But due to my bad progress in studies, I’m punished by grownups; and in my quiver, there is no arrow intended for my own loving heart.
Amor sighed heavily and looked from where he was sitting down on the Earth. He took one of the arrows from his quiver in his hands. If love is so sweet and shy, if it is a blessing from Heaven, let today my arrows be sent to kids who really deserve being gifted it.
A dark abominable castle on a desolate hill, very old and ancient, hiding the mysteries of the River of Time and the magic of evil wizards, was casting ominous shadows that made even wise owls passing by in their returning back to their home shiver with fright. On its towers, scorpions were trustworthy guards; but witches were snoring in auxiliary buildings allotted for the garrisons of air defense against
