      Cynthia waves a hand in front of my face. Who are you staring at, sweetie?

      I motion toward Peter Gallagher with a raise of my eyebrows.

      She chuckles. You can do better than that, love.

      Cynthia glances back over her shoulder to where Peter has just moved on to another table of people to chat with.
