Six Months Later
William stared out at the small garden outside of his hovel. It was getting very green and the stems were higher than the week before. He smiled as Kaja came into view. His lover was pulling up weeds and tending the crops. The beans were almost ready to harvest and Kaja was also killing pests that attempted to ravage their hard work.
Kaja always worked in his loincloth and not much else. William enjoyed watching him bend and stretch and the way the loincloth folded in just the right way to allow a glimpse here and a tease there.
The sweat on Kaja’s body glistened in the light of the sun and it was nearly too much for William to bear. He left the hovel and joined Kaja in the garden. His fingers swept over the crops and he looked out over the fields and the wide-open land. In the distance a few other hovels were clustered together, their own gardens even bigger and more fruitful than theirs.
Even with our late start, things look very good.
William put his arms around Kaja.

Kaja smiled.
William nodded. Aye, we make a good team but even you need to rest once in a while. You tend to the garden more than anyone in our land.
"This is where I belong. It is what I am good at. I never wanted to fight and kill. You see what good can come from growing food
