      HIDDEN IN SILENCE

      What a mess I’ve gotten myself intae. The blue war paint was dry on my face and chest, so I strapped the leather bodice across my midsection. My lady’s maid tightened the bindings. I braced my belly. Nae tae tight. I want tae breathe.
