      Pieces of a teenage soul

      Epilogue:

      I had my first seizure when I was three years old. I was diagnosed with epilepsy and spent my childhood in and out of the hospital. The summer before I started 5th grade, my father took me to san juan, texas to see la virgin de Guadalupe. He prayed for me to be healed. We returned home that summer and I began writing poetry. I wrote my first poem when I was eleven years old. I started school shortly after and the seizures stopped. I was able to get off medication and to this day I never had a seizure again. Some people may call it a coincidence, but I strongly believe it was a miracle. I continued writing poetry through the rest
