Undeniable – The Conclusion: Part 2

    Chapter 1

    Mick

Finishing my part of the song, I walk to the end of the stage and wave to the audience, setting off another round of screams. One female, about twenty to twenty-five years old, slips her bra off underneath her t-shirt and throws it to me. I catch it and grin at her, playing my role perfectly, my fans not detecting how much I am longing to be somewhere else.

    With someone else.

It has been six weeks since I have seen Maggie. Six weeks since I experienced the best night of my life. Being with her that night had changed me. It made me long for things I was unable to have at this point in my life.

Logan slings his arm around my neck, detecting my mood. He grasps the bra from my hand and whirls it around and around on the tip of his finger before sending it back into the crowd. He grins and winks at me before moving away. Keeping my smile in place, I pick up my part of the song, and bring it to a close.

Looking out over the crowd, I admit I do love my career, but I wish it wasn't so demanding, requiring me to travel so much.

I bow from the waist and turn, waving to the audience as we exit the stage, ending the concert. As always, I take my phone from a stage hand, and send Maggie a quick text. She responds a few minutes later, making me smile.

It puts a spring in my step as I look up from my phone to see about twenty fans that managed to sneak past the stage security and are now being held back by our body guards. Crossing to them, they start squealing, some crying, as I shake their hands and introduce myself, allowing some of them to take selfies with me. Part way through, one female with large breasts and heavy makeup presses a piece of paper into my hand. I quickly put it in my pocket and continue meeting my fans.

Once I have met them all, I head back to my temporary dressing room, pulling the piece of paper from my pocket once inside. Opening it, unsurprisingly I see a telephone number. Crumpling the paper, I practice my basketball skills on the waste bin. The paper hits the target.

Turning from it, I grab my bag and stuff it with the few items I usually take with me backstage. Heading back out, I bang on Logan's door.

He swings the door open, saying, Yes, Mick. I’m almost ready.

I wait, impatient, as he grabs his few items too. I am anxious to get to the plane so that I can have a few quiet moments before we take off. I want to call Maggie.

As Logan walks through his door, the other two dressing room doors swing open and my other bandmates, David and Richie, join us.

As we head to the waiting limo that will take the band to the privately hired jet that is scheduled to fly us to our next stop on our tour, the boys do their usual teasing. I ignore them and instead text Maggie to let her know I will call her in ten minutes.

Ducking my head to get into the car, I settle myself on the seat across from David. Logan slides in next to me grinning widely as he says, Mick is even more anxious tonight boys.

David grins, joining in by saying, Yeah, our Mick got it bad.

I grin back saying, You can tease all you want, it doesn't bother me.

The boys nag me for a few more minutes before giving up and changing the subject. No amount of their ribbing bothers me. I am quite happy knowing I have someone that is waiting to hear from me.

I listen to the boys’ steady chatter the rest of the drive. Once we pull up on the tarmac for our private plane, which helps in omitting the craziness of going through the airport, I dial Maggie's number. She answers as I climb out of the car.

Hello, I hear her say, happiness in her voice.

Hey, how you doing? I ask, as I move away from the boys. Our manager has also arrived and is dealing with the boarding process, leaving me free to talk to Maggie.

I hear her chuckle lightly as she responds, I am doing great now. How was the show tonight?

Smiling, loving to be hearing her voice, I reply, It was great. I pause for a moment before I ask, I was wondering if you wanted to come meet us? I only have two weeks left to this part of the tour. You could come over for the last week and after we could take off somewhere quiet for a few days.

I hear the silence on her end for a moment and my heart drops. I have this secret fear that while I am away she will meet someone else or lose interest.

I would love that Mick but I can't get away from work. I have a large advertising project that will be launched the following week. I need to be here, she replies softly with regret in her tone.

Fuck, right, work, I say, disappointed.

Yes, sorry, I hear her say quietly.

I am dying to see her. I didn't want to wait the next two weeks and I feel frustrated that I can’t see her before then.

I have a place in Sarasota, Florida. Any way you could meet me there for at least a weekend? I ask, feeling like a school boy who passed a note to a girl and is now waiting to see if she will go to the dance with him.

If it is on a weekend, I can manage to take the afternoon off on Friday to fly down and meet you, she suggests hopefully.

Grinning, feeling my confidence return, I reply, I'll make it work. I'll be in touch with your flight plans.

She chuckles lightly saying, I can make my own plans, Mick.

Chuckling, I respond, Yeah, I know, but I want to take care of it.

She laughs and says, Okay. I give in. Then she adds, I can't wait to see you.

My heart light, I respond, Me too.

I hear one of the boys call out to me. We are ready to board.

Sighing, I say reluctantly, I gotta run. They have started boarding.

Okay, I hear her reply, detecting a note of disappointment.

I'll text you when we land, I say, praying she doesn't get sick of this situation.

    Okay, she replies quietly.

Okay, I sigh heavily. At the end of my next contract, I am definitely out. I have already notified John that there would be nothing to keep me from breaking away from the band. As much as I loved them, I wanted to live my own life.

    Bye, I whisper.

She doesn't say anything and I wait until I hear her disconnect. Removing my phone from my ear, I pocket it and head towards the plane with a heavy heart.

Settling into my seat, I recline the back slightly and close my eyes. I listen to the boys joking as they pop open cans of beer. Up until about six months ago, I would have been joining in but lately I have lost all interest.

Instead, I keep my eyes closed and think of Maggie. We had not talked about being exclusive but I have kept my distance from any female involvement since meeting her. No one else interests me. My playboy days seem to have become uninteresting.

A couple of hours later, we land where we will spend the night before the concert tomorrow. I send Maggie a quick text but there is no response. She must have fallen asleep.

Slipping my phone back into my pocket, I exit the plane with the boys. We are quickly ushered away to a waiting limo that takes us to our hotel. By the time we check in, I am exhausted. Grabbing a quick shower, I collapse into bed, my dreams filled of Maggie.

The two weeks drag by, my anxiousness in seeing her causes the time to feel like an eternity. On the day I fly into Sarasota, I am excited and filled with anxiety. Maggie's flight is on time and will arrive within forty minutes of mine.

The airport is small and quiet, making it the perfect place to avoid paparazzi. I decide to get the keys to the rental car while waiting. I had thought about hiring a limo but I wanted our time together to be only us.

Once done, I check the arrival board, and head to her baggage area to wait. When I finally see her, she is looking up at the signs for directions. My heart trips and starts beating rapidly. My eyes greedily scan her face, my body moving on its own, to meet her. When she glances away from the signage, she spots me and a smile floods her face and I feel mine spread further across my face. Reaching her, I take her hand and link my fingers through hers. This small touch sends an electric current racing through my body.

    Hi! I say, grinning stupidly.

Hi right back, she says, the broad smile on her face making me want to kiss her. I give in to the urge and lean down to lightly brush my lips over hers. A small moan escapes me.

    It has been too long.

I force myself to step back, otherwise I will be searching for a private corner. I had promised myself to give her time to get settled before I made an advance.

Taking the piece of carry-on luggage from her hand I say, Let's get the rest of your bags.

She laughs lightly and replies, I am only here for two nights, Mick. I have everything I need in there.

Stunned, I reply, Seriously? Most girls I know travelled with an entourage that took care of their multiple bags.

Nodding, she smiles as she replies, Yes, seriously.

I swiftly kiss her again before saying eagerly, Well, come on then.

Holding her hand, I guide her through the airport to the rental car. I opted for a convertible and feeling free, knowing no paparazzi are following, I put the top down. As we hit the highway, I look over at Maggie who seems relaxed, happy and thoroughly enjoying the wind in her hair. I can't resist touching her. I grasp her hand again and intertwine our fingers. Her smile increases and I feel a happiness I never knew before settle deep within my soul.

Taking the exit of the I75 to Nokomis, I follow it until we reach the US 41. I have a house on Casey Key overlooking the ocean and I can't wait to be there with Maggie.

Turning onto Blackburn Point Road, Maggie teases, Where are you whisking me away?

Crossing over the swing bridge, I say mischievously, To my lair, pretty one.

She laughs and I kiss the back of her hand.

Taking a right, I drive a few short minutes before turning into my driveway. There is no need for a coded gate here, which is one of the things I love about this place. It’s private, secluded and peaceful. Like there is no one else around for miles.

Hearing Maggie's gasp, I look over to see her eyes, wide, as she takes in the expanse of my home.

Is this your house, Mick? she asks in awe.

Chuckling as I pull the car to a stop, I reply, Home Sweet Home. Reluctantly, I have to pull my hand from hers to put the car in park. Not wanting to waste a moment I say eagerly, Come on. I'll show you around.

Exiting the car, I cross to her side to open her door, taking her hand again as she stands. Her eyes have remained on the house and I chuckle again.

Closing her door, I tug her with me to the trunk to grab our bags before tugging her again to my front door. I swing the door wide open and release her hand to allow her to head inside ahead of me. As I close the door and lay the bags in the entryway, my eyes stray to the sway of her hips that are clearly outlined by her tight-fitting jeans. I almost groan out loud.

Wow, Mick. This place is spectacular, I hear her whisper. I try to take my eyes off her ass but they refuse to move. Instead, I find myself breaking my self-made promise to take my time with her, and I walk over to where she is standing, facing the ocean view from the entrance to my living room. Standing behind her, I put one arm around her to lay my hand flat against her lower belly, the other hand grasping her hip, pulling her back into my groin. I hear her gasp and let out a shaky breath.

Leaning down, I whisper into her ear, I'm sorry. I have no control.

Her head comes back on my shoulder as she moans, For what?

I made a promise to myself not to tackle you first thing, I whisper as I kiss her neck.

That was stupid, she whispers back.

My heart racing, knowing she wants me as much as I want her, I move my hands to the button of her jeans, and as each one pops open my excitement mounts.

Slipping both my hands into the waist of her jeans, I push them, along with her
