People will say this diet is the best for losing weight or that diet is the best for getting in shape for summer. The truth is, every weight loss plan works, the results depend on how well the diet is planned and then executed. And depending on the kind of diet you are on, there are some foods than can and can’t go on your grocery list, but there are also some diets that permit you to eat whatever you want, you just have to be very conscious of your portion size. One such diet is the Counting Points Diet. No matter the diet you choose to go with, you have to know how to shop for the necessary foods. This is something that’s really never talked about, maybe because it’s just assumed that you know which foods to buy. Well we are here to help you with that.
The information in this book applies to any diet, but we will just talk a little bit about the Counting Points Diet. It’s very a simple and easy to understand diet which is probably why so many people use it. Here’s how it works: Foods are given their own point value and then you can consume whatever you want, as long as you do not exceed your allowed number of points. For example, a cheeseburger from McDonalds is worth 7 points, a fun size butterfinger bar is worth 2 points, one egg is worth 2 points, and all vegetables are worth 0 points. That is why this diet really incentivizes you to eat vegetables because it’s all you can have once you have used up all your points.
The amount of points you can have every day depends on you gender, age, weight, height and activity level. All of this information can be found online.
