About this ebook
Falling in love has no age limit. Celebrating her fiftieth birthday on board a luxurious liner cruising the Caribbean Islands with her family and best friend in tow, widowed English vicar Anne Fairchild is on the holiday of a lifetime. Being pampered and spending the next ten days relaxing in the sun, little does she know by stepping on board just how much her life is about to change.
For Captain Cosimo Deyna this will be his final voyage as Captain of The Caribbean Serenade. Retirement awaits him as does an uncertain future on land. For over thirty years he'd served on numerous leisure vessels spending no more than a few weeks at a time on land or in the country of his birth. The arrival of his father and monarch of his country on board forces Cosimo to face his past and to make a decision about his future.
On a moonlit night Anne and Cosimo encounter each other and feel an instant connection. Can their relationship work even as they struggle to hold back from each other who they really are?

Excerpt from A Cruise To Love
O h Annieeeee. There you are.
Her mother all but shrieked.
Morning mum, Armando
Anne greeted them, forcing herself to smile despite the frustration she felt at being disturbed.
Armando you remember my daughter Anne.
Maud reminded him.
Of course. Pleasure to see you again.
He affirmed in a deep heavily accented voice.
And this is his son Cosimo who is only the bloody Captain of the whole ship. Cosimo, come meet my daughter.
Maud insisted.
Anne held out her hand to greet the ‘man in charge’ Anne Fairchild.
She began and was about to state her title but at the not so subtle shake of her mother’s head, continued. Mrs Anne Fairchild.
Captain Cosimo Deyna, at your...You!
He exclaimed.
Anne’s heart leapt into her throat. So much for que serbloody ra! The naked man she’d witnessed in the pool who had haunted her dreams last night was the ships’ Captain of all people. So much for a relaxing holiday Anne mentally groaned.

My darling Bizzy,
It’s been ages since I wrote to you. I tried to ring but you were never there, because guess what? I’m only bloody getting married to Keith Fairchild!!!! I’m wincing as I’m imagining hearing your scream of ‘Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?’ I would have sent you an invite but the wedding is on Valentine’s Day because, wait for it....I’m pregnant! The baby is due in July.
Mum told us we didn’t have to, but you remember how Keith and his family are. Rather uptight and moralistic. I wouldn’t have minded but we’d only done it the one time after Sarah Lewis’ 21st birthday party. We were both slightly bladdered at the time and the worst part is...I hardly remember any of it. How awful is that? To lose one’s virginity and not really remember having any fun, but the damage is done,’ to coin a phrase and so Keith has quite rightly stepped up to the mark and taken responsibility. Just think Liz, the next time I write to you I’ll be Mrs Anne Fairchild. It’s a church wedding, of course. Keith’s parents called in a few favours.
We’re going to be living in the house Mum inherited from Aunt Frances, which isn’t too far from the uni. Thank God Mum said she’d help look after the baby while I continue with my studies.
Wish me luck, Bizzy. I’m not going to have a maid of honour because, well, you won’t be there and I don’t have any close friends who deserve the role.
Ta ta for now. Stay out of trouble, missy!
Love,
Annie

My darling Bizzy,
I’m ending the old millennium as Mrs. Anne Fairchild and starting the new one as The Reverend Anne Fairchild. I did it! I’m a fully ordained vicar and I start a job as curate at St Jude’s church in Marsham, Sussex. I’ll be assisting the vicar-in-charge and we have three parishes. That’s three churches—Holy Trinity, All Saints and of course the one where I’m based.
Keith and the family are all doing so well. I never thought I’d marry into an intellectual family let alone produce academically-minded children. Keith has been offered the position of head lecturer in Philosophy at the university near my new parish. Francis and Alban have decided to go to boarding school, of all places and Catherine won a scholarship to a private girls’ school. I tell you, it’s all happening here at the moment. I’ve enclosed a card with my new address and phone number.
I hope you are okay, Bizz. The last time I heard from you, things weren’t going so well between you and Paul. I do hope Maggie is coping too. Marital issues can have such an impact on the children...I’m sorry for going into ‘Rev’ mode.
Take care, sweetie. Miss you,
The Reverend Annie

My darling Bizzy,
Keith’s dead. I cannot believe I’m writing these words to you. I would have emailed, but I wanted desperately to see them on paper. I guess it seems silly me writing to you when I already phoned and told you. I just wanted to see the statement and for some reason ‘feel something.’ I don’t though, isn’t that awful? It’s been nearly a week and I still haven’t cried. Instead, I’ve just done the usual English thing and got on with it. Parish life has been busy as all heck. I’ve had weddings, christening and
