    Chapter 1

Alex always knew he wanted to travel the world but sometimes you're given a hand that makes things like that not so easy to accomplish.

Alex was only 4 years old when his mother decided to leave his father. Alex's father was a habitual drug user and threatened to kill his mother daily. He would beat Alex and his mother 5 times a week and the other two days when it got really bad he would put a knife up to her neck threatening to kill her if she ever left him.

An abusive relationship is something that she was all too familiar with because she grew up with two very abusive parents who would beat her with wires, coat hangers, and belts. Sometimes Her mother would lock her in a closet whenever she cried and as a young girl her mother would take a pillow and hold it over her head until she would almost die. Alex's mother attempted to go to a therapist later on in life and the therapist told her that she had the second worst childhood that he's ever heard.  After that she stopped going. When Alex got older and found out all of this he would grow to understand that she had a reason for not being the most loving mother in the world. With her as a mother and no real father in Alex's life it was clear that this was not going to get any easier anytime soon.

When Alex was 9 years old he was adopted by a man named Kevin. Alex would even have his last name changed to that of Kevin’s last name. Kevin was a decent provider but was not much of a father.  He was always gone away on business and when he was home he would just watch football. As far as Alex knows Kevin never laid a hand on his mother so at least that was a step up in his mind.

When Alex was in 5th grade he was failing almost all of his classes so the school system brought in someone to give him an IEP test to determine what they should do with him. It turned out that he wasn't being challenged enough. The test also showed that his reading and writing comprehension level were above college level. The test showed that his IQ was at 128. School was always boring to him and the one thing that kept him going was sports. God gave Alex a gift to naturally adapting to any sport that he put his hands on. One in particular stood out from the rest and that was martial arts. He started training at the age of 4 after his mother left his father. He ended up studying it for 20 years.

Alex was never popular in school and it wasn't because people didn't like him it was because he never really clicked with any of the groups. It also didn't help that he had a disorder called trichotillomania which is a hair-pulling disorder associated with OCD and Tourette syndrome. His OCD was constantly changing and forcing him to adapt to the new ticks. This went on for years until he got older and life started throwing him some different problems. Kevin and his mother got divorced when he was 16. Kevin took Alex to the side and told him that the divorce was his fault. They had a daughter together named Madison and Alex found out later the real reason for the divorce was Alex's mother was tired of Kevin treating Madison better than Alex just because Alex wasn't Kevin's real son.

This wasn't the first time that Alex was met with trouble because of siblings. Alex wouldn't find this out till later on but when Alex was four his mother and biological father had a son together. Alex's brother was named wil.  Alex and his mother were so Underprivileged at the time financially that his mother had to give wil up for adoption.  Alex's mother worked 17 hours on most days just to support him and his deadbeat father. Alex's father didn't work and had a drug and alcohol addiction.

After Kevin and Alex's mother got divorced he was expelled from high school for always getting suspended. Alex and his mother left their current city and moved to a new city to start over. Alex was seventeen at the time and had to do something with his life so he got enrolled with job corps in North Carolina. This trade school would not only help him learn a career but also help him get his GED. When Alex went out there he studied welding while taking his GED class. Alex would constantly sneak off campus to go hiking with the friends he had made there. This place was not a good environment for him because this would be the first time and place that he ever smoked weed and drank alcohol. It was then that Alex found out he had a high tolerance To drugs. Alex didn't really care about the career portion of the program he just wanted to get his GED. He was one class short of getting it when the job corpse change their policy. Now to take the GED test he had to be passing his classes in the chosen trade. Alex had a 15% in the class at that time and he felt ripped off by the system. With no support system at home and all signs of Hope nowhere to be found Alex threatened the school and they gave him two options. He could either go to prison or go to a mental hospital for an evaluation. He chose the hospital and when he got out of the hospital he had to pack up his things and leave because he was kicked out of the program.

    Chapter 2

While in there he turned 18 so when he got back to Georgia if he got arrested
