      Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: ~ Matthew 28:19-20a

      The Great Commission is a very familiar and often quoted passage of scripture. But quoting and memorizing it, and fulfilling it are often very different things. Who should go? Where should they go? How should they go? Why should they go? What should they do when they arrive? All these questions and many more must be answered in the fulfilling of the Great Commission.

      I was privileged to accompany Brother Blake Mullins on a crusade to Kumi, Uganda. Months before we were to leave, Brother Blake began to prepare me for what it took to do missions work. His wisdom and experience helped me prepare physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, and in many other ways. Thanks to his preparatory efforts, we saw over 5,000 souls come to Jesus. We also saw many healed, delivered, and set free. Thanks to Brother Blake’s wisdom I was prepared medically and knew all of the challenges that we would face by traveling to our destination. Every intricate detail of preparation proved to be not only necessary but made the crusade more successful for the Kingdom of God.

      This verse has spoken volumes to my heart since I first read it years ago after being born again.

      After being called to preach at a very young age, I had a desire to go anywhere and everywhere that God would make away for me to go.

      But being from a very rural area, where the churches were small in size, I wondered how such a thing would ever be possible. How could I ever make it to the mission field?

      After some research, I knew airplane tickets were very expensive and most missionaries had to itinerate (travel around to several churches to raise support.)

      With me being an Independent with few actual churches in our fellowship, how could it ever happen?

      And Jesus looking upon them saith,

      With men it is impossible,

      but not with God:

      for with God all things are possible.

      ~ Mark 10:27

      So, I focused on getting close to God by prayer and study of the Scriptures. Over
