The Way: Youth Study: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus
()
About this ebook
Travel with Adam Hamilton as he retraces the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Once again, Hamilton approaches his subject matter with thoughtfulness and wisdom, just as he did with Jesus’ crucifixion in 24 Hours That Changed the World and with Jesus’ birth in The Journey. Using historical information, archaeological data, and stories of the faith, Hamilton follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism to the temptations to the heart of his ministry, including the people he loved, the parables he taught, the enemies he made, and the healing he brought.
Everything needed to conduct a 7-week study during Lent and Easter for ages 13-18. Use with the adult-level DVD.

The Way - Adam Hamilton
Introduction
The most important story in the life of any Christian is the story of Jesus Christ. From his birth to his Resurrection, Jesus is the foundation of Christian faith and belief. The Gospels tell this inspiring story in four different ways, each from a unique and compelling perspective. All four Gospels spend considerable time telling about the ministry of Jesus here on earth. Those years of ministry are the primary focus of this study.
In the three short years he ministered, Jesus was able to teach us and to exemplify what it means to love God and to serve God. By studying where Jesus went and what he did in each place, we can learn about the path of discipleship and then walk in his footsteps.
We will look at his time at the Jordan River, where he was baptized; and in the wilderness, where he was tempted. We will explore Capernaum and the Sea of Galilee, places where he called his disciples and healed people. We will consider the importance of mountains in his life and what they mean for his disciples. We will see him calm the seas and spend time with the outcasts. And finally, we will follow Jesus as he goes to Jerusalem and faces the
