About this ebook
My Jasmine Rose is a story about a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whose owner did not plan on adding one more pet dog to her menagerie of pets but who could not bypass the little puppy in the pet shop, it was love at first sight.
She was a very sick little puppy but Jaz showed great courage and determination in her fight to survive the odds of her unfortunate poor condition that was obvious to her prospective owner who was gazing in the window of the pet shop on a warm October Spring day in 2004.
This book relates the story from beginning to end of the life of Jasmine.

To my daughter, Francie, pet dogs, Cherry, Lily and Jasmine for their unconditional love.
To Dr Hill who saved the life of Jasmine when she was only eleven weeks old, and gave expert veterinary care to her during her lifetime.
To animal lovers everywhere and, in particular to owners of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, I hope they and their pets will benefit from this story and alert them in case their pet displays any of the signs and symptoms Jaz experienced prior to the end of her life.
Preface
When I was a young girl the only close contact I ever really had with a dog was with Sparkie, a beautiful golden cocker spaniel owned by my Grandparents, Gus and Eva on a fruit block in Red Cliffs, Victoria.
My Uncle Bob, like his parents also cared for dogs and once owned a dog named Peter, my Uncle claimed he lived to be 23 years old and was a vegetarian, but this was before I was born. When I was an adult the only other pet dog my Uncle owned that I had contact with was a lovely German Shepherd called Frisco, named I think after San Francisco! I used to walk with my Uncle and Frisco around the streets of Mildura, Victoria whenever I stayed with him and my Auntie Joyce on holidays.
Chewy was a special little Shitzu Terrier my sister Robyn and her husband Michael bought when their son David was born and they grew up together. Sometimes in Chewy’s senior years I would stay over and look after him while they went away on vacation. When Chewie passed on they purchased another dog named Bertie an adorable Beagle who lived to the age of seventeen years and for ten of those years he only had the sight of one eye.
Debbie, a friend, once owned a beautiful Poodle cross named Jessie and we often watched television together with her beloved Jessie sitting on the floor between our arm chairs.
Our very first dog was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Maltese cross shared with Francie, my daughter, who kept on at me to buy her in late August 1997. Of course I agreed the moment I set eyes on Cherry and I still have her home with me to this day, she is fifteen years of age and along with Lily, my fourteen year old Papillion, both are wonderful company.
Francie always used to say I bought Jasmine to replace her when she left to live in Sydney with her now husband Trevor.
