About this ebook

Hirah - I'm ready to stake my claim to superstardom and I want to bring Chad with me. At this stage, we're all about making The Wretched better as a tandem, and having some fun along the way. Unfortunately, Chad doesn't appear ready to move forward and this is pissing me the hell off. This was why I'd refused to commit to anyone because of shit like this. How can we be metal's new power couple if Chad slams on the brakes?

Chad - For the last few months, Hirah and I have ridden the merry-go-round between bandmates and friends. Our fellow members had done everything to throw us together, and even with those moments, we had yet to take full advantage.

Despite the attraction to her, I still can't get a certain somebody out of my mind. And, I know if I want something real with Hirah, I need to forget about it. A hard thing to do when it feels so damn good. I need to drop that other piece or I'll lose the chance of being her soulmate.

This is a spinoff of The Wretched Tales with new guitarist Hirah Blaze. She's kicking ass and taking names, looking to become the metal world's newest guitar goddess, but will she get sidetracked by The Wretched's gorgeous new bass player?

This is the final book in the Hirah Blaze Series. All books must be read in order

    Chapter One – Chad

AFTER GOING THROUGH the rest of the East Coast and then the four shows in Canada, we headed back into the states for the southern leg. I got very anxious knowing I was so close to home, especially now with Kyle’s death. I tried my best to put my feelings on the back burner, however, because I was still on my first tour. The last thing I needed was to get all wrapped up in things I couldn’t control. Kyle was gone and I had shed more than my share of tears. None of those would bring him back, so I’d have to do my best to deal.

When I told everyone what happened, I was really happy to hear the support. My bandmates, the other bands on tour, as well as our fellow brethren from Derranged Records — even Del Vanz sent me condolences. How cool is that? It was nice to know people had my back during this tragedy, showing that the metal community was tight knit after all.

And I’ve got to say, having Hirah lying on my chest, comforting me helped more than anything else. To have her so close and not have sex was harder than anything I’d ever done. Still, both of us had to learn to use freaking restraint.

By the time we’d arrived in Virginia where Omerta was from, the weather changed, so I picked up a few sweaters at random shops and online. Winter touring was the best because plenty of people wanted to stay in and see a show. Of course, the snow could’ve been a deterrent, but in the south there wasn’t much of that, and we probably wouldn’t see any until we hit Chicago.

    You all right now, man?

I looked around when I heard Bryan’s voice from off to the side.

Yeah, dude. I’m good. Been hard to deal with this drama and not be at home.

I hear ya. Well, if ya need anything let me know. Bryan nodded at me and closed the curtain of my bunk on the bus.

Thanks. I called out to him and smiled to myself while I finished putting away the extra clothes in a duffel bag. God knows I didn’t want to carry all this shit, but we’d need it when we went through the rest of the tour.

I’d finished cramming stuff into the bag, when my phone buzzed inside my pocket. I plucked it from the side and eyed the screen.

    Justin.

Right then, the memories of our four days together rushed back into my brain. I gave my cock a quick tug, then answered the phone.

    "Well, hello there, stranger."

Chad. Missin’ you something fierce, how you been?

Justin’s Boston accent turned me on in ways I didn’t think it could. I was crazy about Hirah, right?

    Bad dick. Bad dick!

I cleared my throat. Uh, all right. Had some bad news from back at home. Otherwise it’s all good.

Oh, damn, I’m sorry. Wanna talk about it?

Nah, not now. What’s up with you?

Nothing much. Wanted to come see you. I got some vacation and I gotta use it before the holidays roll around.

I see. I leaned back in my bunk and immediately my head went into a tizzy. A few nights ago, I’d spent the evening with Hirah, totally clothed, wanting her — and now this hot man was asking me if he could join me in a city or two.

    Um, where?

Where is your next big destination I could drive to?

Um, from Boston, I’d say Chicago or Detroit. We’ll be there in a couple of weeks.

Really? I love Chicago. I got friends there.

Ya do? I ran my tongue over my lips. We got three dates in Chicago. Why don’cha make ya way in and I’ll make sure you get tickets to the shows. That’s if you wanna go.

Of course I do. By the way, gotta ask ya, are you still seeing that chick? The guitarist in the band?

We’re talking, yes and I am interested in her. Why ya’ ask?

She was trying to lay her claim on ya when you guys were here. I told her, it was no big. Just let me have some fun.

    Mhmm.

I was surprised to hear that Hirah staked her claim, especially when we were still in stage one. This from the person who’d said for me not to get too clingy and she was doing just that.

    Jealous much?

So I’m game. I’ll come through Chicago. What are the dates?

I rattled them off for him, then looked around my bunk area for the itinerary so I could tell him where I was staying. Truthfully if I had the money, I’d fly him out, but there was only so much of a stipend we got and I had to use it for more important things than putting my fuck buddy on a plane.

All right, so, I’ll see you then.

Yes you will. I smiled wide and reached down between my legs, adjusting my rock-hard cock in my jeans. He had almost the same kind of effect that Hirah had on me and knowing I might have to give that up at some point brought a tear to my eye.

Okay, I did say we could play with others if we both wanted it, but something gave me the idea neither Hirah nor Justin would want to share me or each other.

I suppose we’d just cross that bridge when we came to it.

    Or not.

After another hour or so, we finally arrived at the hotel close to the French Quarter. I’d been looking forward to coming to New Orleans for quite a while. I’d always said if I didn’t make it in the music biz, I’d relocate there, live on the streets, playing music and asking for spare change. Heck, being homeless wasn’t a real big deal to me because I’d been through it before. In my mind, I’d seen and been through some of the worst things, so not having a home would barely faze me.

Getting off the bus, I inhaled the air and opened my arms wide. There had to be a restaurant nearby because the smells of fresh seafood wafted toward my nose, making my mouth water.

Well, here we are peeps. The land of hoodoo. Nicolai patted me on the shoulder and walked ahead of the rest of us.

I nodded at Corey and Brian, who had just stepped off and made their way to the hotel door. I looked back over my shoulder, noticing Miss Hirah wasn’t there, so I doubled back.

    Hirah? Hey, we’re here.

Okay, I’m coming. Just getting some things together.

In moments, she ambled out of her bunk space, struggling with her bag. Instantly, I grabbed it from her arms. She nodded at me in appreciation and I waved her ahead of me.

    Whew. Been a long night.

Oh? I tried staying upright with both our bags on my back.

Feeling shitty these last two days. No amount of pain killers have worked as of late.

Aw damn. I placed the bags down and rubbed her shoulder. You sure you don’t need to see a doctor?

"Nah. It’s woman problems, if you know
