About this ebook

Killing a man to see him die is just one more thrill for Dale Davis. No stranger to the law and prison, Dale is determined not spend his life locked in a cell. A jail break forces Dale to rely on someone beside himself. Yet, he cannot be loyal to anyone any more than anyone can expect loyalty from him. Dale and his accomplice, Tara, find that the romance of being fugitives on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula soon becomes its own kind of prison. Driven by impulse, Dale is doomed to the worst kind of prison—the one he builds for himself. From that prison, there is no escape.

Edward Nugent

In the distant past before the bloom of M.F.A. programs, Ed earned both a B.A. and a M.A. in English literature with the ambition to write great works of fiction. After a detour to work as a crinimal defense lawyer on Colorado's Western Slope where he learned to listen to and tell other people's stories, he retired hoping to rekindle the youthful ambition to write. He is the author of a novella, No Escape and a novel, Every Song Tells a Story. He has written literary nonfiction pieces, "Mind Cañon" Literary Orphans Magazine, issue 26 and "Paean to Change, Hippocampus Magazine, Oct. 2018" which explore the natural enviornment and landscape in interaction with human consciousness. He resides on Mexico's Baja Peninsula, where in addition to writing, he engages in many outdoor pursuits, including moutain biking, hiking and exploration.
