Von Cook

Von Cook likes to refer to herself as a follower of Jesus the Christ. She grew up Christian and went to Catholic/Christian schools, but swayed from her upbringing to find the God that Jesus referred to as, Father. With so many questions unanswered, and not seeing Christ in Christians, Von took a liking to the occult. Von spent over 20 years practicing Wicca. It was during this practice, filled with spells, rituals and chants where she decided to go to Bible College. Within three years, she graduated earning her ministerial degree, but something was still missing. Von knew that the Bible was much stronger than any magic and one afternoon she came across a book on spiritual warfare. During the year of studying spiritual warfare, Von discovered that the Father wasn't as far away as she imagined him to be. For she was always practicing spiritual warfare just not Biblical Godly warfare. It was after this discovery, Von knew that being a follower of Jesus the Christ was the one and only path for her; not to become religious, but to have a close relationship with the Father. “I had to line up my thoughts and mouth with the word of God,” Von says. With everything rapidly changing in the world today, her blog, The Cook Reader Files offers insights and instructions on spiritual warfare; along with basic instructions on how to walk in your God-given authority while experiencing much joy. Von took to heart Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness...” As a result, she is therefore known by her family and friends as a “seeker”. Von believes there is more to the Bible than what is being taught in most churches around the world today, and it is up to us to seek those answers in order to have a close relationship with the Father. Von believes the main reasons why many are leaving the Christian faith is, the power of the Holy Spirit is not being shown, but rather the power of darkness is manifesting greatly; and... it's hard to find Christ in Christians. Hence, these reasons, Von decided to be the Christian — she wanted to see.

The Virtuous Woman's Diary - Von Cook

    Introduction

The Virtuous Woman 's Diary was written for women who are ready to tackle the issues of life and get back everything the enemy has stolen. For we do not wrestle with flesh and blood; therefore, how can we battle the enemy in the physical or flesh? We can't. How much longer are we going to sit and listen to pastors and teachers tell us how to dress? Whether or not to wear makeup? How and when to cover our heads? How much longer are we going to sit through the charade while our husbands are being flattered by other women? How much longer are we going to sit in a lifeless church when our sons and daughters are dying? How much longer are we going to hold on to our many sicknesses and diseases while the pastor is in good health?

    Enough is enough.

The power lies within you. The kingdom is within you. The kingdom isn't way up in the sky or down yonder... it's within you. The power of the kingdom is within you, but you have to know how to obtain it and want to obtain it. How much longer will you sit in a place of worship while your life remains in turmoil? We all have the power within us. We don't have to wait, call or visit our priest or pastor in order for him to lay hands on us. The power is within us.

What is this power? Power is simply defined as, the ability to get results. The ability to imagine and manifest situations according to our goals, and all of our goals are within reach.

We are now living in the age of I Know. Everyone knows everything today, not only regarding their life, but yours as well. Many claim Christianity is bad or Jehovah's Witnesses are evil. Catholicism is the true way and everything else is wrong. Many claim Jesus never existed while others claim Allah is the one true God. Then there are those who say, Jesus is really Zeus or Horus. Perhaps it's time to stop with all the talk and let's see some action. Let's see the results of your path. Let's see the fruits of your labor.

In all sincerity, if your path isn't leading you towards healing mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally then... what's the point? If your path isn't prospering you in all areas of your life then... If you're still walking around with the same illness for 20 or more years then.... If you still have the same judgmental attitude then... If you still go through the same chaos every day or week then... If all you have is a bunch of knowledge that doesn't really lead to wholeness then... If you aren't part of the solution, but part of the problem then... If your path isn't leading you to righteous acts, forgiveness and love then... it's time to move on.

Many have said, Christianity is a lie and Jesus never existed. With that said, many have supporting documents, lectures, and videos to back up their claim. However, once you have voiced your opinions and presented supporting evidence, then what? Where does that leave the other person other than confused? In addition, what does your knowledge and way of life have to offer them? You've taken away their Jesus, and now they are skeptical in the only religion they've ever known... now what?

There is no such thing as ONE SIZE FITS ALL. If it were we would all be doing the exact same thing, practicing the same religion, wearing the same clothes, and driving the same car. If you can make your path work that's wonderful. Now, be a blessing to others, but don't steal what they have. On the flip side, don't allow anyone else to steal what you have, even if it's just a little bit of something... it's still yours.

I have noticed a lot of women operating in a degree of semi-power or powerless faith. Searching for an outside Source. But the power lies within us. It's up to us to bring it out and walk in our authority. In these days that are approaching, we need to know how to walk in our authority. A few years ago a woman asked me, What God or Goddess should I honor? My response, Whomever you call upon in your time of need or trouble without hesitation. That is the God you honor. Wherever there is peace and love that passes all understanding, that is the God you honor. Know everything about your God, learn of their ways and master their path. Don't try to be greater than God, but perform and act according to the message your God conveyed. Believe on their message and the works they performed, and you will do them as well.

She then looked at me and said, I have a lot of reading to do.

I find it most interesting when many individuals will share stories regarding how their path has worked for them and can display the fruits of their labor. There are many who hold on to the traditions of their religion and have frequent struggles while never truly prospering. Is it because their religion is bad? Absolutely not. They either have not learned how to access the power of their religion, or simply prefer staying as they are. Who are we to judge?

I am not ashamed to say Jesus is my Master Teacher. I view him as my Ascended Master. I love his message and I love his miraculous works; however, I respect the paths of others. I believe wisdom can be found in many paths. Subsequently, it would be foolish for me to dismiss the paths of my ancestors whose flourishing practices were around thousands of years before Jesus and the religion of Christianity. Perhaps simply called by a different name, yet holding the same or similar principles.

Growing up, I always knew there was a massive amount of power in the Holy Bible I just didn't know how to access that power. Now that I do I want to share it with you. There are some who have a distaste for Christianity and everything it entails, including Jesus, but I have found tremendous strength and wisdom in the Holy Bible. I discovered it was never about Christianity, the ministers, the religion, Saturday or Sunday services, but rather the message within the scriptures. It's about the power within the scriptures. It's about the driving force within the scriptures. It's understanding the Source that drives the Force. It's completely understanding the phrase, May God be with you.

This book is for women who are tired of being tired of the same old drama, but on a different day. This is for women who are ready for a change; a change for the better and a new way of operating under the sun. This book is for women who are ready to lay aside all fears and bring out the warrior within. This book is not a quick fix to your problems. It's not a quick fix to your marriage, but a gradual learning and developing process.

This book isn't to confuse you in any way, shape, or form. Take what you can use, ponder, study, and lay aside that which does not profit you. My job is to plant the seed, your job is to nourish it to maturity. I understand there are many reading this book who are Christians and have no intentions in leaving their religion and would love for it to work in this day and age. No worries. There are many Christian principals throughout this book; however, I also incorporate the ways of our ancestors before Christianity and demonstrate how we can incorporate those traditions today, without impending upon Christianity.

Also, I know many of you reading this book may not be Christians; however, cast aside the religion of Christianity and focus on the message. I also know there are many who are apprehensive regarding the ways of other cultures, but as with the non-Christians, don't focus on the culture, but focus on the message. As quiet as it's kept, there is wisdom in every culture and tradition no matter how big or small.

I can't walk with you for several years, but I can certainly leave principals and examples for you to set the stage and apply to your life. If you apply the exercises and rewrite the examples to fit your situations, you will see a remarkable transformation. However, it takes time and plenty of practice to walk comfortably in knowing thyself and knowing the authority you possess within. The more you practice and stand in your faith, the stronger and bolder you become in your path. And the stronger you are — the weaker your enemy, whether it is friend, family or foe.

I have used every exercise in this book with success, except the Chapter on Raising the Dead, but I believe I could if put in that situation. I know I have raising the dead power within; for many, other than Jesus, have raised the dead, long before his time and after his ascension. It has taken years of study and practice to get to this point of boldness in my faith, and I'm still growing and maturing in my path; thus, it gets easier everyday, but it takes time and dedication to be a virtuous woman.

Did you know a virtuous woman is a warrior? However, she is also loving, nurturing, caring and forgiving. She may be a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and/or friend. I firmly believe a warrior is within all women and now is the season for her to be released, known to many as — a virtuous woman. It is time for all women to find themselves in history, not simply knowing our history.

Now is the time for all women to find her story, for all of our stories are not the same. Our skin tone may be similar, yet our stories quite different. We all have a unique sacred power within and now is the time to rise to the occasion and find our voice and place in this life. Now is the time for all women to find their story, their Source, their Force and become the warrior that only you know how to be, stretching and reaching well beyond the boundaries of what you've been taught.

The virtuous woman calls those things which are not as though they were and indeed they will become. For a virtuous woman will always believe and know without a shred of doubt that no weapon formed against her will prosper. A virtuous woman knows how to get to the root of the problem and walk in supernatural power, not owning the power, but managing the power.

Chapter One - My Mother Never Told Me

My mother never told me that life would be challenging. As I laid securely tucked into my canopy bed each night — I dreamed. I dreamed about riding my bicycle in the park, with my friends riding alongside me. I dreamed of my dad taking me to the circus, eating cotton candy and riding on the elephant. I dreamed of laughing and playing games during my birthday parties, fondly remembering pin the tail on the donkey . I dreamed about blowing up balloons and playing jacks. I dreamed about opening my toys on Christmas day and wondering if Santa would remember my list. I dreamed most nights. I dreamed happy dreams with happy endings.

My mother never told me that the dreams might stop. She never told me that some of my dreams might not ever come true. She never told me raising children would be challenging or my marriage may not last. She never told me that some friendships are a passing wind, and some boyfriends will be a memory of the past.

She never told me that one day, I would have to learn to be a warrior... in order to have peace.

    ~ Von Cook

    Chapter Two - The Kingdom

Before we begin with any spiritual warfare training we must first do what the Ascended Master said, ...seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) . Our Father in heaven is about order. When we seek the kingdom of God first, and his righteousness, only then can we have the promises of God. But what does it mean to seek ye first the kingdom?

The word kingdom in the Strong's Concordance Greek Index #932 has the following meanings: kingdom, kingship, royal rule, kingdoms, and reign.

When Jesus said, ...seek ye first the kingdom of God... we're seeking the royal rule and the one who reigns in the kingdom. When it comes to seeking the kingdom, we are seeking everything that has to do with God's kingdom in heaven.

John 18:36, Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

According to the definition in the Strong's Concordance regarding the word kingdom, in John 18:36, Jesus is actually saying, his royal rule is not of this world. Oftentimes, we interchangeably apply kingdom to mean heaven, but the kingdom is God's royal rule in a place called heaven. Thus, seeking the kingdom is seeking its rulership, the Word, angels, creation, miracles, the stars, and everything that has to do with God's creation and who He is. It's not necessarily the place called heaven, but what is done in heaven.

Many times we want to skip over lessons in life or in our faith that we deem irrelevant, but once we have a firm foundation in our path, our belief and faith are greatly increased. But some may still ask, What exactly are we seeking? Let's be reminded, Matthew Chapters 5-7 is Jesus' sermon on the Mount. This is considered the Gospel of Jesus, the Doctrine of Jesus, or the Sayings of Jesus. Jesus' sermon on the Mount had nothing to do with being in a denominational church setting, but rather how
