Recapture the Fire - Michael Aaron

    Introduction

Writing Recapture the Fire devotional has been an enjoyable, yet challenging task because my focus has been on encouraging and edifying all of you who will read these devotionals and give you a boost to start the day! These devotionals are unique due to the fact that they are decidedly Spirit-filled, Kingdom-minded, prophetic and revelatory! My prayer is that Holy Spirit will use these devotionals to restore your spiritual passion!

These dynamic devotionals were written in the context of a very busy schedule and trying times. Before these were reflected upon and jotted down, these same truths and principles have changed my perspective, helping me see my life through the lens of gratitude and the truth of His Word.

Recapture the Fire is designed to deepen and strengthen your relationship with Jesus! Each one includes a quote by a famous writer or speaker. It also includes a Scripture reading and most entries are intermingled with three or four Bible references. I encourage you to look up and read these scriptures carefully; they are words of Life! Finally, it is followed by a heartfelt prayer. Some respected pastors, prophets, and evangelists have inspired me in their sermons and writings, therefore I have given credit where credit is due. Dear reader, as you make your way through the pages of this devotional, I desire for you to embrace the love of a close relationship with Jesus. He is with you always and in His Presence our lives are transformed!

    Many Blessings!

    God’s Reassuring Love

Quote: God’s love is like an ocean; you can see its beginning but not its end. Rick Warren

    Scripture Reading: 1 John 4:7-8, 17,18

To start out the new year, the focus is on love, God’s love! He is love! And to know that kind of love, you must experience it for yourself! It’s not enough to know it, it must become your daily bread.

But the only way to do that is first, confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and abide, that is live, in Him. His promise is to live in you as you abide in Him!

Second, believe that God loves you because God is love.

Finally, accept His unconditional love for you! Accepting that God loves you when you have been hurt or pulled down by real people causing you to feel unloved, is not easy. But God’s love is perfect! He loved you first, long before you had any expectation of love from others and long before you knew Him or loved Him! Is that awesome or what?

Set your heart and mind today on accepting that His love is more powerful than anything that’s thrown your way.

One more thing! Not only does He love you, but He promises to get rid of your fear. You may be afraid because of some past event of pain in your life, but today allow the power of God’s love to win!

Prayer: Jesus, today I believe that you love me and I want to abide in You! Thank you for casting fear from my heart and mind. Fill me now with thoughts of You to replace the thoughts of the past. Invade my heart, mind and life with your powerful love. I thank you and praise You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Abel -Transporting Heaven to Earth

Quote: Prayer lays hold of God's plan and becomes the link between His will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit's prayer. — Elisabeth Elliot

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:4, Genesis 4:4

If God responded supernaturally to Moses, Solomon and Elijah, we can expect Him to respond supernaturally when we pray. After the insurrection in the garden of Eden, spiritual darkness settled on the world like a thick fog UNTIL Abel offered God true worship by presenting a lamb without blemish as a burnt offering to God. That sacrificed animal, consumed with fire, was a prophetic statement representing Abel’s desire to present his life as a sacrifice to God and to be consumed with on-fire devotion to Him!

God honored his faith! Through this, Abel still speaks through his faith. What was this witness that is spoken of? We don’t know for sure, but I believe supernatural fire fell from heaven and consumed Abel’s sacrifice since that happened later when God found a sacrifice acceptable. There must have been shrieks of terror among the evil principalities that thought they had erected an impossible barrier of satanic control. But God responded to Abel’s prayer, the spiritual wall was broken down, and a stream of blessing began flowing! Renewed hope returned to this world from that moment on.

Things may look dismal and even impossible for you now, but don’t you think they looked just as impossible then? Yet one praying person made the difference. Don’t ever give up! Keep seeking His face and supernatural results will come! You will experience life-changing breakthrough when you pray!

Prayer: Jesus, I bring to you my life as a living, burning sacrifice! Lord, I believe that my prayer can change the circumstances and atmosphere that surrounds me. I can hope once again because I know you hear my prayer for you are the God of the impossible in my life! I thank you for honoring my faith today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Releasing God’s Will

Quote: Intercession involves taking hold of God's will and refusing to let go until His will comes to pass. – CBN

    Scripture Reading: Luke 1:26-38, 45

The most significant event ever to happen in time was the incarnation of the Son of God! Each major stage of His journey through time was activated by prayer, specifically intercession. His first coming took place because millions of Jews had prayed for centuries that the Messiah would come. When the angel announced that the appointed time had arrived, a humble Jewish girl prayerfully confessed after hearing the word of the Lord through Gabriel: I am the servant of the Lord. May it be unto me according to your word.

That was a prayerful outburst of faith, not only toward Gabriel, but toward God Himself. The will of the Lord was released, and nine months later, God became flesh, born of a virgin in a manger in Bethlehem. One of the secrets of releasing God’s will in your life is to believe that nothing is impossible with Him and declare that word back to Him in His presence. That step of faith will trigger events to happen in your journey with Him!

Prayer: Jesus, I thank you for the plans you have for my life and I believe there is absolutely nothing impossible for You! Your will be done in my life! I take the stance of faith today in who You are and whose I am! I believe your Word because I have renewed my mind. I thank you beforehand for the tremendous release of Your will! I am favored! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Lifting a Curse

Quote: Our praises turn everything of the curse of the fall into a blessing. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! - agodman.com

    Scripture Reading: Genesis 8:20-22

After the flood was over, Noah and his family together with all the animals exited the ark. The first thing Noah did was offer a burnt offering to God on the altar. This act of worship had global impact! It seems that up to that time, it was almost impossible to grow any kind of substantial crop due to the suffocating curse of the ground. It primarily brought forth thorns and thistles per Genesis 3.Noah, however, touched the heart of God with his worship and the debilitating curse was lifted from nature! Prior to the flood, there had only been a mist rising from the ground, but from that point onward, nourishing rain fell from heaven. After God saw Noah’s reverential act, consecrating the new world, and He smelled the soothing aroma of passionate praise, the Lord pledged: While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.

That same kind of worship and passionate praise can lift off any debilitating or suffocating curse off your life. God brings us into a brand-new world once we know Christ as Savior. Let us consecrate our new life to Him with authentic worship today and see our souls set free!

Prayer: Thank you Jesus that because of what you did on the cross, I have been delivered out of the control and the dominion of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of His Dear Son! I worship and praise Your name with all I am and I set apart my life to You! I declare that I am truly free!

    Interceding for Salvation

Quote: There is a massive move of harvest coming! I am praying for a move of grace to fill our hearts for empowerment to carry a fiery love for the lost. – Patricia King

    Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:9

At Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His disciples jubilantly announced the coming of the King of Kings to the city of God using the unique worship word: Hosanna. The implied meaning is: Lord we fully believe You will save us and so we praise God for our deliverance in advance!

Even though Hosanna is a prayerful request, it’s never spoken in a pleading tone of voice. Instead it is normally an ecstatic shout of praise. The reason is that it is made in full expectation of performance. And when we tag the phrase in the highest after the word Hosanna it’s even more powerful! It means He will save you in every area of your being to the highest degree possible! How awesome is that? Even though the disciples really had no idea how profoundly their prayers would be answered when they waved their palm fronds and cast their garments in the road, it was answered in the next few days on the cross!

Prayer: Jesus, I surrender my life to you today to first save me from sin. I make a 180-degree change in my mind and heart and ask you to forgive me for my sin. Thank you for coming now and living in my heart! Now, I give you each area of my life in order to save me from the power of sin and self to the highest degree possible! I shout out with joy in my heart that you save the rest of my family and friends! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Spiritual Transformation

Quote: We take what we think are the tools of spiritual transformation into our own hands and try to sculpt ourselves into robust Christlike specimens. But spiritual transformation is primarily the work of the Holy Spirit. He is the Master Sculptor. - Jerry Bridges

    Scripture Reading: Acts 2:2-3

After Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave them all the power of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. This grand infilling was the result of God’s powerful promise! What an awe-inspiring event it was when the first group of believers received the fruit of this promise. The Holy Spirit came into the upper room like a mighty rushing wind and divided tongues of fire hovered over them. Surely that wind was the very breath of God breathing into His people the restoration of what Adam had lost in the garden. It’s the beginning of a victorious life!

But it’s not just for those first disciples. It’s for us also! The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call. (Acts 2:39) Isn’t that awesome news? You can be filled today with that same breath of God! Ask Jesus!

Prayer: Jesus, I desperately need the work of the Holy Spirit in my life to transform me! I ask you right now to baptize me in the Holy Spirit, to breathe the breath of God into me! Begin the work of restoration of all I lost in Adam! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Desiring Growth

Quote: You have a divine purpose that no one else can fulfill. You have to get out of the bleachers and into the game if you want to affect the outcome of your life! – John Hagee

    Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:14-15

To really grow in Christ, we must experience what it means to know the Son of God. That takes being nurtured and prepared as a believer. The local church is a good place for that kind of equipping, but we also need to take responsibility for our maturity and development.

God’s plan has never been to give you barely enough, but to impart to you wisdom, grace, revelation and power and that in its fullest expression! And when we reach maturity, we won’t be easily shaken by trouble nor led astray by novel teachings or by false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies that sound like the truth. Instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our love. All our direction will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into Him! That is where God wants to take you starting today!

Prayer: Jesus, I want to be a man or woman of passion! I ask you to keep me hungry and thirsty to grow more, to know You more! My heart is to run after You! I take responsibility today to seek your fullness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Prayer in Action

Quote: Prayer in action is love, love in action is service. ― Mother Teresa

    Scripture Reading: James 2: 14-17

We must work into our vision of prayer for justice and other desired changes around us works of justice and action. If we really desire a change, then we must devote as much time in works as we do in prayer. It should be a 50/50 formula. If we really desire to have a profound influence in society, it will take both!

Do you have an initiative in your heart born out of prayer? Then start making small, but decisive steps in bringing that initiative to fruition. A true encounter with God always motivates us to do His works and change the world. The Word of God is continuously expressed in ministry to one another. Don’t worry! The grace of God will always help you to accomplish His desires!

Prayer: Father, thank you for putting in my heart every day a desire to make my prayers for others a priority. Help me to know what part I must play so my faith can be put into action. This is how your love can be expressed in a tangible, practical way. I’m here to serve you Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Walking Dead People

Quote: Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.  ― Howard Thurman

    Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:18-20, 2:4-5

A dead person can come back to life. Real love can start to slowly give a person new life. I’m talking about real life. Becoming a Christian is not about God making a bad person good; it’s about making a dead person alive. God resurrected Jesus from death to life, and he wants to do the same for us. I want to make sure that gets tattooed on your brain! God does that through love!

The prayer in Ephesians is that we would understand the value God places on us. Yes, we’ve screwed up. Yes, we’re messed up. But God still views us as treasures. We’re his rich and glorious inheritance. Then it goes on to tell us that the power God used to raise Jesus from physical death to new life is the same power He uses to raise us from spiritual death to new life. Why? Why does God make this offer to us? Because He loves you! It’s not just for the good, the pious, the religious. His posture toward you is not one of condemnation, but of compassion. Will you let Him love you?

Prayer: Jesus, I accept the possibility that I’m dead relationally, emotionally and spiritually. I need more than anything is for You to love me, to bring me back to life. Thank you for your outrageous, extravagant, and scandalous love! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Come Home

Quote: Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need for God’s grace. – Jerry Bridges

    Scripture Reading: Luke 15:11-32

Jesus once told a story to help us understand God’s offer of grace. In the reading today about the prodigal son, the question is what did that son deserve from his father? Punishment. Rejection. But he got a hug and a party. He got welcomed back into the family. And you have to wonder why. If you have a child, you understand.

God is a great and loving Father and there’s nothing we can do to make him stop loving us. And so God offers us far better than we deserve and that’s grace. We just accept it. We come home. By the way, this is what makes Christianity different from the natural way humans try to approach God and different from every other religion. We believe we need to be deserving. We would never come up with grace.

So, no matter why you left, no matter where you went, no matter what you’ve done, no matter what you’ve become, God is inviting you to come home today!

Prayer: Jesus I know I don’t deserve your love, but I’m coming home today! I receive your grace. I know you’ve been waiting for me. I say yes to you today! In Jesus Name, Amen.

Even When You Don’t Feel Anything

Quote: When you feel alone, unloved, and powerless...your emotions are lying to you. - A.M. Brewster

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 2:19-22, Matthew 9:20-22

I've got some great news for you! It's going to literally set some of you free! The fact is, you can operate in the power of God even if you don’t feel anything! Let me explain. Just like I did, many of you feel that you must be hearing God's voice to prophesy. Then you believe you must speak with amazing tongues to be spiritually mature! Then you also believe you must FEEL God's power or even FEEL it when evil walks into the room. And finally, you just know that for healing to manifest through you, you should begin to feel God's power emanate from you in some form like feeling heat or electricity. None of this is true! None of the above is required in order for you to walk in the power of the Spirit.

Having all of those amazing manifestations has nothing to do with being spiritually mature or feeling all of those things does not mean you are more spiritual than others. It only means your gifting works that way and you don’t deserve gifts anyway. You only receive them!

Whatever you or I lack in gifting or discernment (and therefore whatever you lack in any gifting or whatever you seem to lack that feels like power), I have learned that God will take care of us by HIS power. Let's clarify...all power belongs to and comes from God! So no matter what you feel and no matter what you don't feel can be quite irrelevant, because the power will always come from God and not from a man or woman. I'll leave you with this thought. Do you feel powerless? But God!! Because the power is IN God and not IN you!

    (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Prayer: Lord, I thank You that I don’t need to depend on my feelings when it comes to my relationship with You or in ministry. You don’t operate that way! In fact You do things when I least expect it or feel it. Thank You that the Holy Spirit is real and the power comes from Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Challenge to Change

Quote: As soon as anyone starts telling you to be realistic, cross that person off your invitation list. - John Eliot

Scripture Reading: The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person (1 Samuel 10:6 NIV)

Change is simply something becoming different than it was. Saul transformed into another man when he came into the company of prophets, He now was doing what he could not do before. God wants to bring us into a place of doing and being what we could not do before. He is challenging things inside of us that are limiting us. We all need to challenged at times as it stretches us and causes us to grow and to change. Don't be afraid of what God begins to change in your life.

The new opportunities that come to you may be challenging or may force you to engage with greater focus. God is challenging us so He can reveal hidden potential that He has placed inside of us. We seen in Genesis 39-42 Joseph went through a challenge. Things seemed to be heading the opposite direction of what Joseph's dream was. God was escorting him into to his destiny. He was able to save an entire nation from a famine and be positioned in a new place of authority.

Don't reject or resist the challenge. Trust what the Master Potter is doing in and through your life. He is making something beautiful!

Prayer: Father, I am a willing vessel so You can mold me into what You want me to to be in my life. I accept the challenge so You can reveal in and through me the potential that has been hidden. I trust you, knowing I'll be able to do things that were simply unimaginable to me before today. With You nothing is impossible! I praise You for your plan and destiny in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Passing Through

Quote: If you're going through hell, keep going - Winston Churchill

Maybe you are passing through a difficult season in your life. Perhaps you feel spiritually dry and alone. You might feel as though your prayer are not being heard and you wonder if God even knows where you are. You are not alone. Even Jesus went through times of suffering when He had to offer prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death (Hebrews 5:7). People often refer to such seasons as the wilderness. The wilderness is a hard place. But it's crucial for our lives as it is painful. While a desert season feels terribly wrong, and loneliness and despair may seem to have control, God is with you and He desires to use the wilderness for your eternal good.

But first things first. If you have not been born again into the family of God, then the wisdom that has been shared cannot help you. Before a person receives the mercy and grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, he or she is lost in A perpetual wilderness that stretches beyond this world and into the next, And there's no way out - except one: repent and believe the Good News!

Prayer: Jesus, I cannot handle times of difficulty and suffering on my own. I ask to receive your mercy and grace. I repent and believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sin, and that You alone can forgive my sins. And whether I can feel Your presence or not, I know You are with me. I'm just passing through! You're here with me in the wilderness. In Jesus name, Amen.

    Path to Humility

Quote: Humility isn't thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less -Anonymous

    Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 5:5-6, Matthew 7:20

Thankfulness is the door to happiness, the gate of heaven, the remedy for arrogance, and a force against the Spirit of special treatment. Wow! What a powerful force!

Thankfulness is a field that must be cultivated, weeded and seeded. But humility is the soil that makes up the field of a thankful heart. We must understand humility before we can truly cultivate thankfulness in our lives. Not only is humility the key to thankfulness, but is also the road to promotion!

Matthew 7:20 says that we can recognize people by their fruit. I love the way the New Living Translation puts it; Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.  Humility produces beautiful fruit. Are you teachable? Do you admit your mistakes? Do you allow others to get credit for something that you deserve credit for? Are you demonstrating that fruit?

Prayer: O Lord, thank you for teaching me Your ways! I want to look and act like You. I realize that my relationship with You will take me on the path to humility. In Jesus Name, Amen.

    The Spirit of a Servant

Quote: The race to be a leader is crowded, but the field is wide open for those willing to be servants. - Rick Warren

    Scripture Reading: Matthew 10:42

You can tell when somebody is a servant mainly by watching how they do life and how they interact with their children and strangers. It is the way to model nobility, to the point that it feels like you have the privilege of knowing a prince and princess when you meet them! They normally don't have much money, but they act as though they are wealthy in the way they carry themselves.

What stands out to me is that a servant never allows his/her authority or position to separate them from other people. They are personable. They are genuine. They are real. That affects others so much that he/she would lay down their life and bless everyone not caring about that person's background, economic condition, social status, race or nationality. This is the spirit of a true servant! They are our models just as our Lord modeled servanthood.

Prayer: Jesus, you were the ultimate servant because you laid down Your life for us! You gave it all! And You call us Your friends. My desire is to become selfless so I can serve others unconditionally! Thank You for showing me the way! In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Raise Your Expectations

Quote: Grace is not the absence of God's high expectations. Grace is the presence of God's power. Anonymous

Scripture Reading: Philippians 4:19, Ephesians 3:20 AMP

The Bible says that my God shall supply all of your needs. There is a place where God supplies your needs and He will sustain you! Yet there is a realm where God brings you into an abundant supply and overflow. He wants you to enter into that realm!

I think of the story of the children of Israel and how they were set free from the bondage of Pharaoh and the Lord sent and brought them out. The Lord sent His cloud! The purpose of the cloud was to provide for them. They ate manna everyday from the cloud and it protected them from sickness and from their enemies. This is what God's cloud and His presence does in our lives.

Yet the wilderness was not their final destination; it was the Promised Land. A land that flows with milk and honey - a place of abundant supply and overflow. But if you remember, the manna ceased when they took the land of Canaan. You may ask why did the Lord stop sending the manna?  Because God wanted to bring them out of the realm of just enough and lead them into the realm of abundant blessing!

Prayer: Jesus, I realize that you want me to receive the revelation of abundant supply and OVERFLOW! I know You have more for me. I believe in Your amazing goodness because that is Your character. It's not because I deserve abundance, but because of your grace. Thank you Jesus! Amen.

    God Leading You Through

Quote: Your Leader will lead you to walk an untrodden way, to go down a path you never dreamed of. He is afraid of nothing, and He wishes you to be afraid of nothing also. He is with you. In desperate situations, it His joy to see His children grasping His hands. - Watchman Nee

Scripture Reading: Escort me along the way, take me by the hand and teach me, for You are the God of  my increasing salvation ; I have wrapped my heart into Yours. Psalm 25:5 (The Passion Translation)

Do you know that God has His hand upon you and will not fail to guide you into the perfect path He has chosen for your life? He is your Father and He watches over every step you take. Even when shadows linger on your path, He will be there to brighten your way when you are confused. He will make His ways even clearer to you.

When your life is in His hands, you won't need to worry about what direction you are to go. It is not a game of Hide and Seek, searching for His will, as though you had lost it somehow. You will not stumble as you walk with Him.

Never doubt His plans for your life. He makes no mistakes! You are always in His hands as the one He loves. He will never forget or fail to hold you near Him. He will instruct you in the way you should go and you will hear the voice of His Spirit giving you the secrets of His ways. Come closer to Him and He will whisper the words of life that will make you strong and pure!

Prayer: Jesus, thank you for always speaking to me! You are my constant companion and guide. I need to wake up and listen to your still small voice because You are still speaking by Your Spirit! Thank You for revealing Your will to me, in Jesus' name, Amen.

    While Waiting on the Lord.

Quote: Stop waiting for what you want, and start working what you have. This can turn your greatest frustration into your greatest potential innovation. If you’ll do your part, God will begin to do what only He can do: He’ll make your box bigger. – Steve Furtick

    Scripture Reading: Matthew 7:7, Romans 12:11, Hebrews 10:25, Ecclesiastes 11:6, 2 Timothy 3:14

When God has you in a waiting period, don’t put your life on hold. Instead, initiate the habits that grow strong, robust faith. One of them is keep on praying, prophesying, declaring, and decreeing. In reality, don’t wait for God! He is waiting for you! It is your praises and declarations of His purposes that will overwhelm and overcome the attempts of the enemy to silence you. Secondly, keep on serving. Don’t worry about having a significant ministry. Make your ministry significant! Thirdly, keep on meeting with other Christians. It will fan your flame. Next, keep on sowing in good works and finances. And finally keep on believing! Don’t let discouragement, disappointment, or delay stop you. Remember a delay is not a denial from God. He will come through!

Prayer: "Lord, I believe You are for me and You are at this moment hearing my voice! I activate my faith today by initiating and following through with these habits that will propel me to the place and plan You have for me! I am not parked! I am moving toward You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Guarding Your Gates

Quote: If the seed doesn't get planted, it can't become a toxic thorn bush; we must guard our minds and our hearts, starting with our eyes. - Craig Groeschel

    Scripture Reading: Psalm 24:9-10

Lifting up your gates to access the Glory is releasing those things that hinder and bind you to the limitations of your natural world, to a life of the ordinary. The point of access is your faith!

There are four primary gates you must guard with all diligence: what you see, what you hear, what you feel and what you think. Many think the opposite of faith is fear, but it's really sight. Remember things aren't always as they appear and we must walk by faith, and not by sight. Secondly, the sounds of the enemy are often disguised as reason and logic, as well as counsel and advice from sources that are not godly. In addition to what you see and feel, you must also place a guard on your thoughts and emotions. Take back the keys of your thought life that you have surrendered in fear. Verbally begin to refute the lies and declare the truth. Don't let the enemy take you back to pictures full of dread and fear of the past and more importantly of your future. Instead allow God to paint His vision in You! His work in you is a masterpiece of divine opportunities!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I don't live by fear or in the problems of the past. I take full control of the gates of my sight, mind, hearing and feeling. I want to lift up the gates to access the Glory and I set aside all the limitations I have allowed in my life. Thank You Lord for your constant encouragement as I look to You!  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Quote: This is where I start my comeback. I will spend no more time asking God why doors have been closed because I'll be too busy praising God for doors that are about to be open. - Anonymous

    Scripture Reading: Psalm 110:1-3

Christ shared a letter to the church in Philadelphia about us being given an open door that no man or enemy can shut. This message was directed to who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to His church, and to those who are walking in restoring truth, and are willing to be volunteers in the day of His power.

I believe the Lord is looking for soldiers of the Cross who are willing to volunteer for His army. Jesus is looking for those who have risen to the highest heart level (soil level) As for the seed that fell on good, rich soil, it represents the hearts of people who hear and fully embrace the message of the kingdom realm of heaven. (Matthew 13:23 The Passion Translation). They have been freed from all the attitudes of the weeds and they are absolutely fearless because  they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

God is going to give these believers His supernatural strength and  they will march to His voice spurring them on to do exploits for Him! You can be one of these valiant soldiers. Say yes to Jesus!

Prayer: God, I have given my heart to you and I'm ready to give my life for you! I receive open doors as part of Your overcoming Church! I no longer will fix my mind on why doors have been closed in my past and I look forward and praise You in advance for the open doors that are coming my way! In Jesus' name, Amen.

    I Will Finish the Work!

Quote: God invites us to come as we are, not to stay as we are. - Tim Keller

    Scripture Reading: Philippians 1:9-11

We are never the same once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord. As Lord over all, He began His work in us before we even knew His name and we need to always remember He will finish the work He has begun in us.

Do you know He has made you into His holy dwelling place? He has cleansed your heart and made you pure in His eyes. His holiness lives in you, for His Spirit lives in you. When you allow Him to fill you again and again, there is no evil that can touch you. When He reigns as King of your life, your heart becomes the habitation of His glory. He will finish the marvelous work He has begun in You!

Holiness is not a work, or something you can produce. It does not originate with You, but it is a flow of His Spirit in you. What He cleanses, He fills. And what He fills, is made holy.

If you ever look at yourself as the source of being or becoming holy, just take a glimpse back and remember how He has worked in your life through your journey with Him. The path to holiness is humility!

Prayer: Lord, I acknowledge your divine work of grace in my life. I am confident that what you've begun You will finish because it's Your work and Your promise. Flow Holy Spirit in my life! Thank you for encouraging me today! I am who I am because of You! In Jesus' name, Amen.

    My Promise Towards Faith

Quote: A readiness to believe every promise implicitly, to obey every command unhesitatingly, to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God, is the only true spirit of Bible study. - Andrew Murray

    Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:20, Matthew 6:25-29

I want to share some steps today and more tomorrow that will help you on your way to genuine faith!

First, get a hold of a promise of God and stand on it. Recognize that it's for you. Tell the Lord that in His mercy and love He has given that promise to YOU. It is your priceless possession. Declare, It is mine-mine-mine.

Next, bring your burden, your problem, your need, to the Lord and leave it there. Refuse to worry about it. Meditate on this:

When we see the lilies spinning in distress,

    Taking thought to manufacture loveliness;

When we see the birds all building barns for store,

'Twill be time for us to worry - not before. - Anonymous

Trust in the Lord! Do not put your trust in feeling or in manifestation or in any physical demonstration. Worry looks at self, but faith looks to God!

Prayer: Lord, I stand with tenacity upon your promises! They're for me. I embrace them with my whole being. I bring You all my problems never to take them back. Forgive me for my worry. In Your Word, You said You would care for me. I trust you today! In Jesus' name, Amen.

My Promise Towards Faith Pt. 2

Quote: Delighting in God's Word leads us to delight in God, and delight in God drives away fear." - David Jeremiah

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 37:4

Worrying or fretting over something looks down to the earth and beholds its coldness and its lack of compassion. Trust, however, looks at the skies and sees the morning star of the promise that announces the coming of the Sun of Righteousness. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus! Acknowledge Him and whatever you do, don't lean on your own intellect.

Delight yourself in the Lord. Has it ever occurred to you that you can never delight yourself in the Lord unless you are standing on the promises? Delight and worry do not mix. Delight is something that comes because doubt is gone. It's here that faith really begins to take hold. Faith says, Thank You. Faith believes before it receives and expresses itself in joy. It gets so happy that it begins to praise just on the basis of the promise alone! Are you there? Rest is there! Confidence is there! Now you've connected with God. Shout your victory!

Prayer: Father, my heart is fixed on You! You are the author and finisher of my faith. I delight in You and I praise You now! The answer is already on its way! Thank You Lord! In Jesus' name, Amen.

    The Gift of Courage

Quote: Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature. - Helen Keller

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:1, Psalm 18:46-49

Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen Hebrews 11:1 The Passion Translation

Faith is more than a belief. Faith claims a confidence beyond our own because it rests in the character of God. Part of practicing faith is persevering in it. Despite the fact we live in a world that refuses to acknowledge God and actively resists the church, we are called to persevere in our faith, a gift that propels us forward in truth.

Many are happy with what our eyes see, but if you asked Him for more, He sees the willingness of your heart to leave the ordinary behind to find the supernatural. For that reason, He gives you the living energy of faith, which is courage. A bold courage to move forward despite what your eyes see.

He is doing for you what you have asked -- He is giving you fresh vision for the future, filled with hope and courage. And every gift He brings must be received and utilized during the journey. So, step out in faith and obedience to His Word today!

Prayer: Jesus, I thank You for the gift of  courage! I receive it! I am confident in who You are. I can courageously face this day and I will persevere
