Christian Principle Guides - James Taiwo

    Chapter One

    ALMIGHTY

    1

God is the greatest of all beings in existence. He has the autonomous power to do whatever he pleases. Despite his extraordinary capability, Jehovah still chooses to favor humanity. He daily meets our needs. He provides and protects us, and he grants us all benefits of life. Hence, all people ought to praise his Holy Name.

    2

God of heaven is supreme. He is strong and able to defend his interest at every stage of human life. Also, our supreme God is able to defend himself. Unlike other deities who are demigods; they are mere powerless figures that their worshippers blindly serve.

    3

The actions of people who engage in physical warfare to defend their gods have already indicated those gods have limited power. Any acclaimed deity that needs human intervention must be considered to be weak, and should not be served! A god of any religion that cannot defend himself should be abandoned – Whether a god of Iron, Wood, Water, or others. As far as Christianity is concerned, our focus remains to serve the God of heaven who is ever strong and able to defend himself. God of Christianity can fight for himself, and he can also defend people that serve him.

    4

Our God is a good God. He is the highest authority in existence. He has wisdom and power to do all things. He has no counselor, and he does not solicit help from anyone. Jehovah is God, and he is an omnipotent and omniscient deity. All people ought to praise his Holy Name, and faithfully serve him.

    Chapter Two

    APPRECIATION

    1

God deserves appreciations from his people. He has been good to us, and we have received many blessings from him. If we attempt to count our blessings, we will realize that Jehovah has blessed us beyond our limited expectations. He has performed many signs and wonders to our benefits. All that we need to do is to appreciate him for his faithfulness. We should give God our best resources, and obey his commandments.

    2

The magnitude of God’s love towards humanity is remarkably great. Most importantly, the faithfulness of God towards his children is immeasurable. He has remained steadfast with us during the good and bad time. He has also promised to remain with us in future. The Bible declares, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV).

    3

If Christians choose not to praise God who else should we praise? Should we offer our sacrifices to an idol like the unbelievers? God forbid! Our appreciations must be directed to the Living God at all times. Sincere appreciation to Jehovah must be our constant practice. At the same time, believers must understand that God is not interested in our money or materials. He is interested in honesty. Whatever we present to him in any form must come from a sincere heart of gratitude.

    4

God has feelings just like us. He sometimes wants us to celebrate some special events before him. Of course, he loves our routine services, but he also loves our special services. He will recognize any special service that we render before him, and he will reciprocate blessing into our lives.

    Chapter Three

    AUTHORITY

    1

Children of God do not need to fear Satan. We are to refute him with the authority of the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy will flee if we maintain our stand against him. Jesus Christ has greater authority than the enemy, and he has shared his unbeatable authority with us. Bible declares Jesus’ authority, So God also has highly exalted Him and given brethren the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11 NIV).

    2

There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan and his host tremble whenever the name Jesus Christ is mentioned. Also, God’s supernatural power is constituted in the blood of Jesus Christ. Angels of God used the power of Jesus’ blood to defeat Satan in heaven. (Revelation 12:11). Christians must also use the authority consisted in the name and blood of Jesus Christ to prevail over our adversary.

    3

Christians must utilize the authority of the name of Jesus Christ to hold their ground against Satan and his demons. The enemies cannot withstand the divine authority constituted in the name of Jesus.  The Bible declares, Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11). Also, the Bible states, Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble (James 2:19 KJV).

    4

Jesus Christ has power over life and death. He has the power to resurrect anyone from death. He also has the power to earn the gift of eternal life to people that believe in his name. To become co-sharer of Jesus' autonomous power, we must confess him as our personal Lord and Savior. The Bible declares, If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

    5

Jesus Christ exercised his remarkable authority over the wind that wanted to wreck his boat. Believers will also enjoy the same benefit of victory if we can exercise our right in him. Bible reported about Jesus, "He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm" (Mark 4:39).

    6

The authority of Jesus Christ has no limit. It is strong enough to do the unimaginable! Anyone
