My Silence Is Golden: A Biblically-Based Collection of Poetry
()
About this ebook
Its so amazing how God guides
you to where He wants you to be. This book began by writing in my journal daily
to release the stresses of every day life. This is a blessing to share the
written words of inspiration with others.
Your silence is golden; it consists of spending time with self.
Expressing yourself from within is the best therapy no money can buy. The poems
are based on real life and learning how to live with the trials and triumphs of
life. The title of this book, My
Silence is Golden, describes my quiet nature and how I consume life.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Learning to enjoy life, being grateful of
what each day brings. Remember that, as
we live day by day, we tend to think everything we accomplished is our doing.
God reminds us, He is in charge. Yes we are blessed to be able to turn up and
down the volume of life. God intervenes to comfort and guide us.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> As you read the pages of this book, the poems
are from the heart. Each poem signifies
how the simple things are the most precious things.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I hope this book inspires you to endure what
life has in store for you.
Tricia Billington
The International Library of Poetry featured an entire page devoted exclusively to the poetry of Tricia Billington in a collection of new poems written by the Best Poets they have encountered. Her poem titled, I Have a Song to Sing was published in this special edition: The Best Poems and Poets of 2003 (Library of Congress ISBN 0-7951-5175-6). Her poetry was featured along with a distinguished group of just 200 of the Best Poets that were selected to participate in this special project. In 2002, her poem titled, A Christian Man’s Rapport was published in their hardbound anthology series titled The Silence Within. From the Author: It is so amazing how the happiest and the saddest days of our lives reveal a new world of expressions and inspirations. Your journal becomes a place to house your concerns, your thoughts, and so many emotions. Through it all, God blesses us with special talents. Giving back the gift of the written word to comfort and inspire those in need is indeed a blessing. One of the many precious gifts we often overlook is our silence. It gives us a moment to get to know ourselves from within, giving us the strength to grow spiritually. The existence of God is always there, front row and center!

Foreword
Written by Dorothy McGowan-Session
Image23117.tifI have known Tricia Billington since her childhood and it has afforded me great pleasure to have the opportunity to observe her maturation into an exemplary womanhood. I repeatedly informed her mother and grandmother that she is my daughter. I always admired her quiet and pleasant personality and never missed an opportunity to encourage her endeavors.
One of the proudest moments in my life, was the day she told me that she admired my poetry and that she was now going to follow in my footsteps and compose poetry also. I beamed with pride and told her I was pleased, because I knew that she would do well. I knew that she possessed the attributes of a poet: her love for her fellowman and her Christian relationship with God.
I shall never forget the poem she wrote for me personally. This poem entitled, My Mother of Inspiration, remains one of my most precious possessions. She has the ability to convey to her readers a view into the heart and mind of one who has much to impart. Her poetry is simple but thought provoking! My prayer is that she will continue to compose the jewels of the written word that bring pleasure and encouragement to her posterity.
The small part that I have had in shaping the life of this lovely person and other young people whose lives I have touched makes me know that my living has not been in vain. I thank God that He has allowed me to reach a ripe old age to see my influence acknowledged.
