Goblins of Grace: Volume 1 of the Priceless Prince
()
About this ebook
Grace Longstone, a beautiful princess, is banished from her father's kingdom for trying to overthrow him. She is now queen not of a kingdom, but of an army of goblins. Grace will once again try to overthrow her father and take over his kingdom. This time she plans to kidnap her brother the prince with the intention of holding him ransom. But, the band of goblins she sends to abduct the prince accidentally kills him in the process. Grace knows that if her father were to find out about the death of his beloved son by her hand, the king would send his powerful armies to crush Grace and her goblins. Grace decides to send another band of goblins to an ogre mage known for resurrecting the dead, hoping to bring back the prince.
Will the goblins be successful and return with the prince alive? Or will the obstacles they face along the way, such as killer lizard men, vicious wolves, a pursuing captain of the guard, or even the possibility of losing the prince's body, prevent them from accomplishing their mission? Find out in Goblins of Grace - The Priceless Prince.

My name is Louis Canonico. I'm in my mid-thirties and like so many others in this world, a book could be written on the events of my life, such as the good, the bad, and the ugly, and the sadness. But who wants to read about that? Instead I'm ready to unleash upon you, the reader, stories of fantasy, adventure, science fiction, horror, and sometimes even romance (not much, though), that have been in development for years. I'm a huge fan of the comic book world. I've collected comics and related items for many years. The world of comics and entertainment has had a big impact on me, but not as much of an impact as my supportive and loving wife and son. Next to them are you the reader. My goal is to give you the best entertainment I can possibly produce. I want to take you to many realms and worlds. So please join me in the upcoming adventures. Read to you soon!

GRACE, QUEEN OF THE GOBLINS
In a time of knights and dragons, wizards and warriors, goodness versus evil, a beautiful but evil princess of a vast kingdom was banished for conspiring to kill her father, the king, and rule his throne. The king vowed that if she would ever return to the kingdom, his own sword would spill her royal blood.
Wandering for days in the nearby Dark Forest,
tired and hungry, the petite princess with her long, wavy red hair now straggly and knotted due to neglect, dressed only in her white lacy gown now dirty and torn, was confronted by a band of goblins on a hunting trip.
Goblins are vicious fighting monsters that do not display much intelligence. Goblins mostly dwell underground; they are short, green skinned, sharp-toothed creatures, and follow a leader who normally is the strongest in their group. The princess knew of this from her prior teachings, and saw this as an opportunity to aid her quest to rule her father’s kingdom.
Despite her beauty the princess was strong and skilled in the use of many weapons. The princess challenged the goblin leader to a fight to the death with the victor taking control of the band of goblins.
The goblin leader felt that the princess would be no match for him, but also knew that he had to accept her challenge so that it would not appear to be a sign of weakness to his followers.
The princess was given a sword for her battle with the goblin leader. Within seconds, and a mighty swing of her sword the princess killed the goblin leader by cutting off his head, which fell to the ground and rolled to her feet. The princess then set her foot on top of the goblin leader’s decapitated head and raised her sword high in the air claiming victory, as well as the leadership of the goblins of the Dark Forest. The stunned goblins looked upon the princess as the blood of their leader dripped down her raised sword and onto her arm. With a smile on her face the goblins began howling and cheering.
The goblins of the Dark Forest have a new leader, a banished princess filled with a passion for vengeance and power. Her name is Grace,
and though her name defines goodness she displays none of that.
Princess Grace is now a queen, not of a kingdom as she so longed for, but a queen of goblins.
And so the Goblins of Grace begin their reign of terror.

THE ARGUMENT
E:\wena\word QA\media\image3.jpegIn the southern region of Canomak lies the vast kingdom of Longstone, named after its powerful and honorable King Longstone. It is a relatively new kingdom built to represent goodness in a time of much evil. In the center of the land’s largest lake is Castle Longstone. It can only be reached by one of the king’s heavily guarded boats. To the north of the castle are seven villages each with its own garrison. The west is Longstone City and to the very south of the castle are the port towns of Geoff, named after the king’s son. The villages to the north once carried the name of the king’s daughter, Grace, but after the king banished her from the kingdom, he retracted it.
It was nightfall and a loud argument could be heard coming from a window at the large tower of the castle. The top circular room of the tower was dimly lit with wall torches, a few comfort chairs were spread around the room, paintings of past warriors hung on the walls, and in the
