About this ebook

Just as Ruth gleaned in the fields of Boaz I have gleaned in the fields of my life. This is a collection of short thought provoking readings. Many are really worth remembering and thinking about. Such as:"Faith honors God, God honors faith."
I have included some Bible facts, some of which are almost obscure from today's Biblical writings.

Heartwarming sayings that will bring back memories and simple verses that explain deep subjects. And a wee bit of humor, especially an epitaph.

Gleanings, by Larry Robinson is indicative of in-depth listening to many minister's messages, and their impact upon his life. The material he has "gleaned", and shared, is very inspirational, thought provoking, and hopefully, useful in messages and presentations in years to come. It may be used with confidence of effectiveness in other lives, as it was in Larry's.

    Much Wisdom"

    Foreword

It has been my good fortune to have known Larry Robinson for over 25 years. When he informed me that he had compiled a book containing words of wis- dom, wit, and inspiration, it didn’t surprise me one bit.

Larry has been a keen student of bits of wisdom the entire time I have known him. But it is not enough to just be aware of word phrases; for them to be valu- able one must be able to understand and apply them. It is a learning process that Larry has mastered and seeks to pass on by giving his readers a source to meditate on.

As his pastor many years ago I saw the value of Larry’s intent many times in board and committee meetings. Often at a point of struggle Larry would come forth with a wit from his treasury that would catch all gathered and cause them to pause, reflect, and then move forward with the boldness of acknowledged truth.

As you scan and meditate on these words of wisdom compiled in this book, it will change your outlook on life. Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… It will also renew a confidence in the truth as you say amen"to age- less wisdom.

The writings contained herein were compiled in a random order on purpose,

evidently that is the way God wanted it. My hope is that the thoughts and

words contained inside will be used as an inspiration to the reader at a time

    when inspiration is needed.

Sunday School teachers, who hold a special place in my heart,

hopefully will use it as a resource and an aid in lessons.

    Preachers may use it
