PRAYER FOR LIGHT
O God of love
The Peace of Heaven is your gift.
Grant peace and light to all who have journeyed on.
Free them from any anxieties and give understanding to those of us left behind.
Help us to become beacons of light that will spread rays of your love and peace on earth.
Enlighten us to be clean of mind and spirit so that we may fulfill your desires for the spiritual enlightenment of those on earth.
Make us one with You in love forever.
AMEN
This book is dedicated to the memory of William A. Colon, Jr. who was a great part of my life and of this book. His contribution, before his passing, to its creation was instrumental in its being published today. Thank you Bill, although you are gone, I know you are close.

Dictionary.com defines the word journey
as:
A passage or progress from one stage to another.
Your journey of spiritual development might be leading you to pick up this book and to absorb its content.
For years, I have known that when the student is ready the teacher appears. I believe, however, it goes much deeper than that. When you are ready to make a change in your life and make an active decision to do so, I believe that the Universe will conspire to assist you. If so, then how can you ignore a personal Universal opportunity for growth?
Writing the foreword to this book has forced me to sit back and re-examine my own journey and to further expand it to its present progression.
At 15 years of age, speaking to the dead, writing books, hosting television shows and conducting world tours all dealing with the Other Side, (talking to dead people basically), was not what I or any of my contemporaries were interested in as a career choice. Nor, do I remember them being interested in spirit guidance from the great beyond unless it was going to assist them on the SAT scores.
Though all the normal issues that concerned me at the time were front and center, there was always something else. They were ever-growing questions Is this all I am
and Is this what my life is supposed to be like?
No doubt that if this book is in your hands and you are reading my words it’s because your higher self, your guides, your dead relatives guiding you, God… or all of the above, are giving you the chance to actually answer those questions for yourself.
LYDIA CLAR, who wrote Out of Darkness Into Light
, was the spokesperson for me at that age. She was guided into my life at a crucial point to spark and ignite that aspect of who I am. She didn’t do it for me. I remember clearly calling her and asking her to ‘tell me what to do. Her quick and succinct response was,
I cannot. I remember feeling like
you can’t push me down the Rabbit Hole and not come on the journey with me. She did, however, send me my first box of
business cards". Looking back, a quarter of a century later, I understand what she meant.
You see, I truly wasn’t asking her for guidance, I was asking her to do it for me
. It is no different from someone who is out of shape and overweight, talking to a fitness expert about health and wellness, and ordering the latest piece of exercise equipment from TV. The bottom line is, if you are not the one USING it and DOING it, your body doesn’t change. So, yes, YOU need to take in the information in this book, and actually apply it to yourself.
Our journey is just that… Our Own… but it’s interconnected and collective just like threads that are woven together to form a blanket. Each thread needs to be strong and fortified in order to sustain the creation of the beautiful blanket; otherwise, it frays and falls apart.
Ask yourself the question. Why are you holding or reading this book?
Are you embarking on a professional career decision, do you have questions on different issues and relationships, are you trying to break free of all the programming that your family and society has downloaded upon you, do you feel depressed and wonder if there is more to you and your purpose? I have no doubt whatsoever that you are answering yes to most of these questions on some level.
Lydia is a great teacher and communicator of metaphysical principles and teachings. She will inspire you to achieve your personal best and to learn the life lessons to enrich your soul.
Enjoy the journey it’s yours after all

Introduction
This book is written to help the reader gain awareness of self and others. It gives an overview of my own spiritual journey with the hope that it will stimulate the reader’s imagination and nurture an interest to develop their own spiritual natures. Development through exploration of the many and diverse areas of parapsychology opens doors to learning. It points out first who you are and second what you’d like to do with the knowledge.
Expansion of self awareness (and your own talent) creates a place where you can better understand yourself and those around you. By recognizing your talents, you will also learn to recognize and accept your neighbor’s.
Throughout the ages, mankind has produced talented people whose works in science, philosophy, and the arts, have advanced knowledge, enhanced understanding, and elevated our ability to get more out of life. The progress achieved by each generation is best measured by the talents it recognizes and encourages in others.
Talent requires study, determination and sharing. These three aspects of development, along with the perspective that comes from the responses of others ultimately become one’s own experience. Of course, the true value of talent can only be realized if its achievements are known. Talent sets standards and opens the mind to new possibilities by demonstrating that the boundaries of the attainable are determined only by human imagination. In the final analysis that’s why it is important for those who do not believe they have a natural ability and who have to work doubly hard to perform well, be provided with examples
The reward of talent lies in the using and sharing of the gift. We seem to have forgotten that and tend to glorify only the accomplishment. In doing so, we have devalued its importance. The world would be a sadder and more ignorant place if the great scientific and artistic minds had not shared the product of their talents.
On a smaller scale, we would be equally unfortunate if individuals were not to share their own personal gifts with one another or, were to withhold their talents in anticipation of some tangible reward.
It is easy to recognize the talent of a
