About this ebook

A result of more than fifteen years of research and study, Prophecy: Past, Present, and Future examines the Bibles Book of Daniel and its predictions of some of historys major events.

Author Calev Ben Avraham explains how God uses the royalty as signposts in the prophetic time elementknown by only a few biblical scholarsthus making it possible to pinpoint the exact time in prophecy for the end of days and the ending of Gentile rule over the earth. In Prophecy: Past, Present, and Future, Avraham refers to the Babylonian dynasty of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon; Cyrus, king of the Persians; Alexander, the great emperor of Greece; and the emergence of Christianity under the Roman emperor Constantine.

Through the Book of Daniel, he shows how the prophecy pertains not only to abdication for the royals but also to death by fatal accidents, such as Princess Grace and Princess Diana of England. He also explains how God will gather his people from the four corners of the earth back to the Holy Land in the very, very near future.

Expand your study of prophecy and gain a new understanding of the years to come.

    The Names of God

The heavenly Creator has many different names, and each one denotes a very specific attribute and spiritual power. The most common name of God is the Tetragramaton (the four letter’s of Yud Hei Vave Hei). Because of the enormous power that the Tetragramaton transmits, we as Jews do not speak it out aloud; for it is forbidden to do so. God is known by the following names: Adonai, El, Elohim, Hashem, El Shadai, Eheyeh, Tzevaot, and Havayah. This book reveals the most sacred of the divine names, the Tetragramaton of Y. H. V. H., which is Havayah.

We Jews request that the owner of this book treat it with the utmost respect. The reason we reveal this most holy name of God is because all who will call upon the sacred name in prayer during times of trouble will be saved. As is stated,

Havayah is close to all them that call upon Him, to call upon him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him; for He will hear their cry and save them.( Psalm 145:18-19).

So shall they know that I am Havayah This expression is used more that 60 times alone in the book of Ezekiel, a clear indication that in the time of the end God whishes that His Name is known the world over!

By calling upon the sacred name of the Most High in times of trouble, one acknowledges the supremacy of the heavenly Creator, acknowledging none other as King Redeemer and Savior!

The Talmud states: Not like this world is the world to come: in this world the most holy name is written in one way (The Tetragramaton) but is read in another (Adonai); but in the world to come, it is altogether one: as it is written so will it be pronounced. See (The Talmud Tractate Pesahim 50a).

    Introduction

Ever since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, few have been they who in each generation truly waited for the final redemption for the whole of humanity to take place. Ten generations after the creation of man, mankind had become so corrupt that the Creator of heaven and earth decided to end all wickedness on the face of the earth. He sent a worldwide flood that destroyed all life on earth except the eight souls and the animals who found refuge in the ark that Noah, the servant of the Most High, had made upon God’s divine instructions. Noah and his sons Laboring and witnessing to that wicked generation for one hundred and twenty years. When Noah left the ark after the great flood, God Almighty made a covenant with him and with his seed after him. (This has been fully explained in our first volume "The Book Of Daniel unsealed.) But ten generations after the great flood, mankind again corrupted itself and rebelled against the Creator, who had commanded them to replenish the earth (Gen. 9:1-6 ).

That generation said concerning God, Depart from us; for we do not desire the knowledge of your ways. What is the Almighty that we should serve Him? And what profit is there in praying to Him? (Job 21:14–15). In the book of Job, Eliphaz says to Job: And you say: ‘What does God know? Can He judge through the dark cloud? Thick clouds are a covering to Him, that He does not see; And He walks through the circuit of heaven.’ Will you then keep the old way, the way which the wicked have trodden? Who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream; who said unto God:’ Depart from us’; and what could the Almighty do unto them? Yet He filled their houses with good things, but the counsel of the wicked is far from me. Job 22:13-18.

They refused God’s ways and decided to build a city and a great tower reaching into the heavens, lest they be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth. This generation spoke one single language, the sacred language, which was the only language known at that time.

God came down and in His mercy did not destroy them; however, He confused their language so that they no longer understood each other. Now, instead of one single language, God had divided them into seventy different language groups! No longer having the harmony of one single language, where each one understood the other, they now only had utter confusion. They were thus forced to replenish the earth. (See Genesis 11.)

Ten generations later, in the days of Abraham, the inhabitants of Sodom became so corrupt that the Almighty sent down the angel Gabriel to overturn the cities of those wicked ones with a rain of brimstone and fire from heaven, destroying all of the wicked ones from of the face of the earth.

Then in the days of Egypt, the nation that lived off the sweat of the people it enslaved, the Almighty sent the ten plagues. This forced the Egyptians to acknowledge God’s superiority over all of the Egyptian idols and further forced the Egyptian Pharaoh to set free his Hebrew slaves. The Israelites left Egypt, and they marched for seven weeks and reached Mount Sinai. There the Almighty made a new covenant with them only. This new covenant was not made with the peoples of the nations, which were those who remained under the covenant that the Almighty had made with Noah and his offspring after him Gen. 9). If the Israelites at that time had remained faithful to the covenant that the Almighty made with them at Sinai—having called them to be a nation of a holy priesthood, a holy nation called into being to instruct all of the nations with the divine truth—they would have brought about the final redemption for all of humanity. (See Exodus 19:6, Leviticus 19:2, Deuteronomy 7:6, and Isaiah 62:12.)

The Israelites failed in their calling, so they were brought down from the high spiritual level that they had obtained at Sinai. However, in the days of Solomon, king of Israel, who built the Temple in Jerusalem in which special sacrifices were offered for the atonement of Israel and the nations of the earth, in his days the Almighty showed to the whole of humanity that Israel could indeed be the holy nation called upon to instruct the nations with the divine truth, a truth which brings peace, true peace and happiness to all the nations when they adhere to this truth!

Of this it is stated, And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom that God had placed into his heart. And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses and mules, a rate year by year. And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt (2 Chron. 9:22).

The result of all this was worldwide peace! But soon after Solomon’s death, the Temple was destroyed, and the people were exiled to Assyria and later to Babylon. Temple sacrifices were no longer offered up, and as a result, peace departed, and humanity once again departed from following God’s ways. This led to wars and death.

In Babylon, Daniel revealed to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon the divine plan for the complete redemption of the whole of humanity. This has been explained in detail in our first volume on the book of Daniel. The author will be referring to this first volume published by IUniverse throughout this book. The book of Daniel is one of the most misunderstood books of the Bible. There are many commentators who have written their own interpretations of this book, misleading those who search to understand its prophecies. Why is this? This is so because millions ignore God’s word! They fail to see that which is stated in the Psalms 147:19, "He ‘God’ has revealed His truth to Jacob, to Israel his laws and ordinances, He has not done so for any other nation, and His ordinances they do not know."

If we accept this fact, then, and only then, can we begin to understand the divine truth as it is revealed by God through His chosen people, the Jews! If, however, we choose to reject this fact, then only spiritual darkness will continue to darken our understanding of the important divine messages that have been revealed to Daniel. These messages concern the time of the end—the end of days and the last days! We see in the Bible how truthful the word of God is in the life of Joseph, the son of Jacob and Rachel, who were the patriarchs of the Jewish people. In Genesis 41, it is stated concerning this:

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed; and, behold, he, stood by the river. And behold, there came up out of the river seven cows beautiful to see and well fleshed, and they fed in the reed grass. And behold seven other cows came up after them out of the river, awful to see and thin fleshed; and they stood by the other cows at the brink of the river And the cows that where awful to see and thin fleshed did eat up the seven cows beautiful of sight and well fleshed. Pharaoh awoke. Moreover, he slept and he dreamed a second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up on one stalk, fat and good to see. And, behold, seven thin ears and parched by the east wind grew up after them. And the seven thin ears swallowed up the seven ears that where fat and of good sight. And Pharaoh awoke and behold it was a dream. And it happened in the morning that his spirit was greatly troubled, so he summoned all of the magicians of Egypt and all his wise men. And Pharaoh told them all his dreams; but none of them could interpret Pharaoh’s dreams unto Pharaoh. Then spoke the officer of the butlers unto Pharaoh I will make mention of my faults today: Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and he put me into the ward in the house of the officer of the executioners and also the chief of the bakers: and we dreamed a dream in the same night, he and I; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream In addition, there was there with us a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the officer of the executioners; and we related to him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; each man according to his dream did he interpret. Moreover, it happened as he had interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto my office, and him he hanged. Then Pharaoh sent, and he summoned Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and they cut his hair, and changed his raiment, and he came to Pharaoh. Then Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and none of my wise men can interpret it for me: now I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying not I, God will answer the peace of Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, in my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: And, behold, there came up out of the river seven cows plump-fleshed and beautiful of form; and they fed in the reed grass. Then, behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and very bad of form and they where lean fleshed, such as the likes of which I have never seen in all the land of Egypt for badness. Then I saw that the seven lean and bad cows did eat up the first seven plump cows. Moreover, when they had devoured them up, it could not be seen that they had eaten them up, for their appearance was as bad as it had previously been Therefore I awoke. And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears of corn came up on one stalk, full and good. Then, behold, seven ears, empty and thin, and parched by the east wind and they grew up after them. And the seven thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears: and I told it to the magicians and the wise men of Egypt; but none could tell the meaning to me."

Joseph said unto Pharaoh, … the dreams of Pharaoh, they are one: God has made known to Pharaoh what He is about to do. The seven good cows are seven good years: and the seven good ears of corn are also seven good years; the dreams are one and the same. Moreover, the seven thin and bad cows that came up after the good cows are seven years; and the seven lean ears of corn parched by the east wind shall be seven years of famine. I have spoken this thing unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do He has shown unto Pharaoh. Behold, there will come seven years of great plenty throughout the land of Egypt. And there, shall arise after them, seven years of famine; and the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; for the famine shall consume the land. And the plenty shall not be known in the land because of the famine afterwards; for the famine shall be very severe.

As for the dream, that it was repeated twice; it is because God determines the thing and God will hasten to do it. Now let the Pharaoh search for a man who has understanding and wisdom. Set him over the land of Egypt. Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land of Egypt to collect the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven years of plenty. And let them store up all the food of those good years to come, and store it up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, for food in the cities to preserve it. Moreover, the food shall be in store for the land against the seven lean years, which shall be in the land of Egypt, so that the land shall not perish through the famine. In addition, the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. Then Pharaoh said to his servants: Could we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph Since God has made all of this known to you there is none so discreet and wise as you are: You shall be over my house, and to you shall all my people do homage: only concerning the throne will I be greater than you.

Moreover, Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See I have set you over all the land of Egypt. Moreover, Pharaoh took of his ring of his hand, and he placed it on the hand of Joseph and he ordered that Joseph be clothed in garments of the finest linen, and he placed a golden collar about his neck; and he made him to ride in a carriage of the second in rank that he had, and they called before him, Abrech: and he set him over all the land of Egypt. Then Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, but without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all of the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphmath-paaneah; and he gave him as wife Asenath the daughter of Potiherah, the priest of On.

We see here how God sent a very important message to the Egyptian Pharaoh through dreams. But neither the Pharaoh nor his wise men could understand them. It took Joseph—the son of the patriarch Jacob, the son of Israel—to reveal unto Pharaoh and his ministers the meaning of the message. And because they listened and accepted the message, the land of Egypt was spared from disaster! This was for Egypt! Thousands of years later, God, again through dreams, sent a very important message to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. And again, it took a Jew to reveal to the king and his wise men the meaning of the dream.

    1 Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon

In the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams. His spirit was agitated, and his sleep was broken. Then the king summoned the necromancers, the astrologers, the wizards, and the Chaldeans, and they came and stood before the king. The king said to them, I have dreamed a dream. And the spirit within me is agitated to know the meaning of the dream.

The Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, O, king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will relate the interpretation.

The king responded to the Chaldeans, The dream has escaped me! Now if you do not make the dream and its interpretation known to me, you will be cut into bits, and your houses will be made into a dunghill. However, if you tell me the dream and its interpretation, gifts, rewards, and great honor will you receive from me; only tell me the dream and its interpretation.

They again answered the king, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will then relate the interpretation of the dream.

In his fury, the king answered them, I know that for a certainty, at this time you are doomed, because you realize that the dream has escaped me. If you do not make known to me the dream, there is only one sentence for you; for you have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, for you seek to gain time! Only tell me the dream, and I will know that you can relate the interpretation of the dream.

Then the Chaldeans said to the king, There is no man on the face of the earth who can relate what the king wishes. That is why no king, leader, or ruler has ever requested such a thing of any necromancer, astrologer, or Chaldean. What the king requests is difficult, and there is none that can relate it to the king, except the angels whose dwelling is not with people!

In answer to this, the king grew furious, and greatly angry, he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. Moreover, as the decree was being implemented and the wise men were slain, Daniel and his three companions were also sought for execution. Then Daniel gave counsel and advice to Aryoch, the king’s chief executioner, who had gone out to slay all the wise men of Babylon. Daniel said to Aryoch, the king’s official: Why is the king’s decree so urgent?

Then Aryoch told Daniel the reason. Daniel went, and he requested of the king that he be given time to interpret his dream. Daniel then went home and told his companions, Chananyah, Mishael, and Azaryah, the story. He requested that they pray to the God of heaven for mercy concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions should not be destroyed with the rest of the sages of Babylon. Then, in the visions of the night, the secret was revealed to Daniel. Daniel then blessed the God of heaven. ’Daniel then went to Aryoch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon. He went and addressed him thus: Do not slay the sages of Babylon. Bring me before the king, for I will tell the king the interpretation of the king’s dream.

Then Aryoch in haste brought Daniel before the king and said to him: I have found a man from the exiles of Judah who will make known the interpretation to the king.

Then the king, whose name was Nebuchadnezzar, exclaimed to Daniel: Are you capable of making the dream known to me, the dream I saw and its interpretation?

Daniel answered the king and said, "The secret the king requests no sages, astrologers, necromancers, or magicians can tell the king. Nevertheless, there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has informed King Nebuchadnezzar what will be at the end of days. Your dream and the visions in your mind while resting on your bed are the following: You, O king, your thoughts came while on your bed about what is to happen in the future, and the Revealer of secrets has informed you what will happen. As for myself, this secret was revealed to me not because I posses more wisdom than any other being, but rather to make the dream and its interpretation known to the king, so that you may know what has occupied your thoughts,. You, 0 king were watching and behold! A huge image; this image which was immense, and its brightness was excessive, it stood facing you, and its form was awesome. This image, its head was of fine gold, the breast and arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of copper, its legs of iron, its feet part of iron and part of earthenware. As you watched, a rock was hewn without hands and it struck the image on its feet of iron and earthenware and shattered the image. Then the earthenware, the copper, the silver and the gold were shattered together. They became like the chaff from the summer threshing floors, and the wind carried them away, and no more trace of them could be found. And the rock that struck the image became a great mountain and it filled the whole earth. This is the dream, and we will tell its interpretation before the king.

You, O king, whom the King of kings, Who is the God of heaven, has given a strong kingdom, power, and honor; for wherever people, wild beasts, and the birds of the sky dwell, He has given them to you, and has made you ruler over them all, you are the head of gold. After you there will arise another kingdom which will be inferior to you, and another, a third kingdom of copper, which will rule the whole earth. The fourth kingdom will be as strong as iron.

Just as iron flattens all and as iron shatters all these, will it shatter and destroy. The feet and the toes that you saw, part earthenware and part of iron, it will be a divided kingdom, for it will have some of the firmness of iron, then as you saw iron mixed with earthenware. The toes part of
