God has given me a word without complexities or complication, purposed to further along the lives of the believers. You’ll find that for everyday there’s a new challenge to rise above what’s customary and reach for extraordinary. Devotion doesn’t consist of standing still; it’s about taking what’s distributed to you daily and applying it to your life, for this is the road paved with success, leading to new dimensions.
There are those who profess a warranted change then there are those who actually work at change; only one of these succeeds: the doer. Starting JANUARY 1st if you’ll take the information shared daily through this devotional, when you arrive at DECEMBER 31,the odds of recognizing a noticeable change or pattern within your life are ten too none: i n short; it’s destined to happen. Refuse to disallow another opportunity to enhance your knowledge by just reading what’s prescribed, instead take what’s being administered daily and ponder on it, meditate on it, for when the HOLY GHOST gave it to me He thought of you. Many believe Daily Devotion to be the express image of taking the time or the opportunity to sit and read what GOD has given one of his many servants; however I believe that to be only one of the many facets of true devotion.
In this book you’ll find not only words that uplift and encourage, but it’s filled with crucial information designed to lead and instruct along life’s path. It’s a prototype of how to practically live, honor and glorify GOD, while destined to enhance every area in your life. Some of these teachings are drawn from my personal experiences, nonetheless all of them are from GOD’S mouth to my heart ;to be distributed amongst those that hunger and thirst for righteousness ;so that they may be filled,(MT 5:6) Daily Devotion is more than an experience or ritual, it’s a lifestyle that reflects the fullness o GODS glory! I pray that through PRACTICAL PRINCIPALS TO DAILY DEVOTION
your life will be catapulted into a closer relationship with CHRIST as it strengthens and guide you.
BE BLESSED,
JANICE PETERS

DAY 366 (LEAP YEAR)
JANUARY 1
DO WHAT YOU SAY
He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster (Pro 18:9)
Every year resolutions are made smokers decide that this is the year they’ll quit, those who have the tendency to overeat or consume food contrary to their needs make a pact to exercise more, eat less or to become as physically fit as possible while others make declarations concerning work, paying more attention to a loved one and a host of other things which has the propensity to enhance their lives as a whole. However the reason so many believers are living below the bar or right outside of happiness on earth is because they inadvertently disqualify themselves by neglecting to do what they say
. You labor and toil over plans and purposes just to allow them to remain or go to the wayside. Solomon wrote in Pro 24:30-32) I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; and lo it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles covered the face thereof, and the stone wall was broken down. Then I looked and considered it well; I looked upon it and received instruction
. What does he describe? He describes the person who has good intentions; one with the resources to accomplish all that’s needed in life, but one who has failed to follow through with their intended purpose. You don’t have to become that person, within you lies the power to bind up and tear down, you’ve been handpicked by God to undertake all those things you’ve professed you’d do but have not carried out. Start now you don’t have to be the slothful or the sluggard; your God doesn’t want you on the other side of blessed. Begin to do what you say
even to the slightest or minute point, carry it out by little and little so that can begin to visualize and enjoy the change you’re striving for!
SCRIPTURE; Eccles 5:4

MISTAKEN IDENTITY
For I through the law am dead to the law: that I might live unto God (Gal 2:19)
A classic case of mistaken identity is described in John 18. In this chapter Jesus has gone before Pilate he’s accused of numerous crimes by the Jews and the High Priest however Pilate now confirms that he has found no fault in him; he then inquires who should be released as per the custom and the angry crowd wants Barabbas and not Jesus (paraphrase John 18:40). They have been blinded by custom and religion which has caused them to mistaken the savior as a malefactor (John 18:30).
As Christians we can not forfeit a relationship with Christ for religion. Religion says when you should attend church, how you should pray; it restricts with customs and laws not allowing for a two way union. Relationship says yes you made s mistake but I’ve made allowances and do forgive. I won’t bind you with grievous burdens hard to bare; instead we’ll come into agreement for I do talk back
!
Don’t mistake a regular seat at your home church for a relationship; relationship says "yes Lord I want this but I trust that what you’ve given me is enough. Now ask yourself if the sinner can identify the Christ in you or if they would mistaken who you are for one of them; these results should show you where you are in life and allow for the necessary adjustments!
SCRIPTURE; Ps 103

BACK AGAIN
Restore unto me the joy of your salvation,: and uphold me with your free spirit (Ps 51:12)
In this Psalm David is requesting restoration from God, he has sinned before God and has now recognized the importance of being placed back again
into his former position before the transgression. David understands that having all else without the presence and the pleasure of God meant nothing; for real pleasure in life is in knowing that he could come to God and hear well done my good and faithful servant.
After an initial place of restoration we are able to embrace the next level of enjoying and receiving back again
that in which we have lost. The word says in righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression
(Isa 54:14); fear not for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east and gather thee from the west (Isa 43:5); blessed ye shall be in the city and blessed shall ye be in the field (Duet 28:3); you’ll enjoy goodly cities which thou buildest not (Duet 6:11); he shall put out nations before thee by little and little (Duet 7:22). God bringing you back again
entitles you to more than enough and not just barely enough; the only pre requisite is thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart; and with all thine soul and with all thine strength
(Duet 6:5), plus love thy neighbor as thyself, in doing these you shall never cease to prosper and be blessed, you only need to know that the Lord delights to bless you. You can now expect to receive wholeness because the Lord has received you back again
!
SCRIPTURE; Jer 31:16-17

DON’T FORGET ABOUT CHRIST
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren (Luke 22:32)
Religion (not religious, there’s a difference) has become watered down. It’s rare to hear the television evangelist (not all, but some) speak more on Christ than they do of all the many works that they’ve accomplished: tithes and accolades are tossed back and forth and the message of Christ is lost in the equation. Our jobs as fellow Christians is to watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation
(Mt 26:41), Satan job is to steal, kill, and destroy
(John 10:10), and he has infiltrated the church with his weapon of pride. Pride says "it’s imperative that you be reminded or forewarned of every accomplishment I’ve attained, which takes the listener eyes off of Christ and places them on man.
Before the death of Christ the disciples argued among themselves who would be greatest (Luke 22:24); Jesus answered it shall not be so, the greatest among you shall be as the youngest, the chief as he that doth serve
(Luke 22:26) exemplifying that no one is to be exalted above Christ for if any man be lifted up who will bare the ranks and lift up the name of Jesus? The word says if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me
(John 12:32), now that’s our job!
Remember if anyone it was Jesus who earned bragging rites on every account, nevertheless he was content with being called Jesus; he kept it simple assuring he’d never forget his true intent and purpose, let us do likewise.
SCRIPTURE; Mt 7:13-14
JANUARY 5
TRYING TO FIT A SQUARE INTO A PEG HOLE
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power (2Thes 1:11)
Think of the many people who’ve become comfortable with where they are currently stationed in life, now consider the ones who have been striving for years to go into dimensions where they have not been sent or called: these are examples of a class of people who are trying to fit a square into a peg hole
; the reason nothing has threaded itself together is simple, they have either changed lanes or ventured into territory not designed for them.
During one of Jeremiah’s many imprisonments as his heart began to fail him because of the reproach he endured for speaking the word of God he made a decision that he wouldn’t make mention of him (God), nor speak anymore in his name
, however before the thought could complete itself in his heart he realized this but the word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, therefore he was weary with forebearing and he could not stay (Jer 20:9 paraphrase). Jeremiah tried to deviate from his destiny and realized that it was like
trying to fit a square into a peg hole" it would never work, for God had ordained him a prophet while he was in the womb (Jer 1:5), there would be no element in his life or the next that would subvert what God had prepared before hand.
Being someplace other than where you should be has an adverse effect on more than just you. If you’re endeavoring to make it work but it never really come together maybe it’s time to double check the instruction manual, you could have missed a step. If all else fails go back to the beginning and contact the originator it’s possible that you misunderstood or left out a detail. Don’t waste anymore time on what hasn’t shown growth or promise severe your ties and count your losses: the energy you spent trying to bring life to what wasn’t promised will be doubled unto you while you make the change; it’s in the word! (See Isaiah 61:7).
SCRIPTURE; 2Thes 3:3
JANUARY 6
IT’S NOT THE PERSON
Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over shall men give unto thy bosom, for with the same measurement that ye mete withal it shall measured unto you again (Luke 6:38)
God hasn’t given us spiritual weapons to fight a natural fight. Scripture says "we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Eph 6:12), in other words it’s not the person; just as God uses man to operate in the earth Satan who has been a imposture from the beginning must also envelope and manifest himself through what is otherwise known as a willing unsuspecting victim.
Your strife or your complaint isn’t actually for or about your fellow Christian. Let’s take it one step further. Those who are called to be sons and daughters, but have not come into the knowledge of the truth or been conformed into the image of Christ are now fair game and it’s possible that Satan has free reign in their lives which creates a clash in the spirit. It’ll be unwise to conclude that you just don’t like that person or they have somewhat against me but if you take the time to get to know the inner man and not the shell of a man you see this will close the invisible gap. We can’t write off everyone who rubs us the wrong way; Heb 13:2 says be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares
. A stranger doesn’t have to be one who is considered unknown but they can also appear as one we have yet taken to know; someone we pass everyday on our way to work; that unruly neighbor who always take up two parking spaces. The stranger could be that particular person who never has a kind word for you, the one Satan has manipulated and who is now living rent free in your head! Friend it’s not the person
who’s posturing to make your life a living hell, it’s the same spirit behind the person but just as penicillin became a cure for polio Jesus became a cure for demonic activity.
Don’t mistaken your potential friend for a foe; Jesus said give and it shall be given
(Luke 6:38) and he wasn’t just speaking about monetary gain; longsuffering and grace falls into this category as well!
SCRIPTURE; Eph 6:12
JANUARY 7
IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL CURSES
Who shall lay anything to the charge of Gods elect? It is God that justifieth (Rom 8:33)
Growing up with the knowledge that your mother committed suicide isn’t easy, but having the foreknowledge of how it was carried out has the propensity to cause a lasting effect on the child; this was my plight in life, I was that child; fortunately I never contemplated taking my own life and one day during an intense prayer session the Holy Spirit revealed to me tat Satan’s weapon for my mother was a knife but the knife he chose for me was drugs: two different weapons with one common goal whenever used improperly!
David committed a sexual sin with Bathsheba (2Sam 11:3-4) which could be the reason their son Solomon found himself attracted to many strange women (1Kings 11:1), Rebekkah delved in deception which is why Esau was no match for Jacob her favorite whose name means deceiver (Gen 27:5-8).
Generally a generation curse is passed on from one generation to the next, it has the ability to strike in it’s former form or that of its evil counterpart: be aware that unclean spirits dwell in tribes, an example is; if a perverse spirit is prevalent or abound it will partner with the spirit of homosexuality, sexual immorality, and a spirit of fornication and lesbianism abide there as well, the perverse spirit is connected with every other perverse form.
What you’re battling with today was not established in your life time; it’s bigger and older than you are naturally but it has to come under subjection of the word and power of God that has been transferred to you. Scripture declares even the devils are subject unto us through thy name
(Luke 10:17b); comprehending that know that whenever you recognize potential curses you’re not bound to rationalize or reason, your place as one who has been liberty is to send them packing: remember the process isn’t all about you because whenever a unsuspecting soul comes along they depart to tackle new territory. You can’t fail to do what you’ve been equipped to do even if you have to do it afraid or in discomfort, doing it anyway is what destroys the yoke, now think on those who are destined to come after you!
SCRIPTURE; Rom 10:8

HEARING GOD
And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses, and he said here am I (Exo 3:4)
One of the facets for a quality relationship with our creator is to be able to hear him. Your ears have to be spiritually in-tuned whereas regardless of the confusion or the chaos around your life, or the environment you reside in you will be able to hear God speak.
There was a period in my life when I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to have my own private space and whenever I began to pray or praise and meditate one of my roommates would barge into our room; which would make me cry out to God and in my mind give credence as to why God needed to deliver me. One day after my temper tantrum I could hear god say just keep praising me you have to be able to hear my voice amidst distraction, that’s what I’m teaching you
! This is to show you how to get a word from me while under intense situations or in duress
. Remember the right atmosphere isn’t one of the pre-requisite for hearing from God, the right heart and a willing and submissive spirit is all that’s required.
God spoke to Abraham while subjected to the gods of his family and gave him a clear word to leave with the promise of making him a great nation. I believe God chose him because in spite of what was taking place around him he had a heart to hear from God (Gen 12:1-4). If you make that your position you will began to see God fill your desires.
SCRIPTURE; Ps 34:7
JANUARY 9
THERE IS A SHEDDING PROCESS BEFORE YOU ADVANCE INTO YOUR DESTINY
And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceable unto him (Gen 37:4)
Joseph understood the shedding process beyond his counterparts for he would have to undergo one extreme situation after the next before he would reach a place of maturity leading to his final destination. In the life of Joseph we see that he’s shown favor with his father and with God nevertheless he would grow out of what he was to become established in who he is destined to become. His character defects would be the same as some of ours, Joseph had the tendency of talking too much, he is naïve in the way of dealing with people but God would use particular instances in his life to correct what has the potential to harm or keep him out of his glory place.
You may be dealing with issues in your life that you need to get rid of in order for you to grow. That issues may be that of a friend or a loved one, it maybe that you find yourself unable to clearly speak or do what thus saith the Lord, the thing that you need to be shedding can be something as simple as discarding the need to impress others with what the Lord has shown you: often times we don’t understand that they could never appreciate what your saying because they’re not heading in the same direction.
The process may seem painful but you must realize that you must go through the shedding process before you can advance into your destiny
: the good news is this "while you’re going through the shedding process God has obligated himself to create a way for your dream to materialize and he does this by getting you around other dreamers. If you survey your surroundings and find that your inner circle consist of those who are busy visiting their yesterdays than it’s apparent that you’re out of place, therefore find your proper place, get in it and complete the process for at the end it shall bring forth a harvest to the full. Don’t connect yourself with those that tolerate you find you someone who knows how to celebrate you instead!

ACCOUNTABILITY: THE KEY TO BREAKING SPIRITUAL BONDAGE
For I have told him that I will judge his house for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile and he restrained them not (1Sam 3:13)
To grasp what God is saying in this hour we must take a journey in history and deal with the Levitical Priesthood. This priesthood was established by God and enacted specific rites that must be followed during the time of sacrifice which brings us to Eli and his sons who serve as priest. Eli is familiar with what his sons are doing but has decided to ignore and keep silent which places him in the position of being accountable, not because he indulge but that he refuse to correct.
That might be your plight today and something has been telling you to keep silent but what you must know is God has called you into accountability
. It’s time to step away from the secret code of silence, you can’t go through life acting as if you don’t see what’s taking place around you, he isn’t calling you to be a busy body in other people matters but he has called you to be your brother’s and sister’s keeper. In John 21:16 Jesus ask Peter if he love him, Peter replies yes and it is after this that he is told to feed his sheep, in other words; I need you to lift them up when they are spiraling down, I need you to advocate for them and stand up for what’s right even if it hurt their feelings because you are
accountable for those God has said will glean from your life, but how can they glean if you fail to open your mouth. This is your hour and God is waiting on you to take the reigns and become
accountable" so that he can break the spiritual bondages that have been holding you back!

BEHIND THE VEIL
Heb 6:19-20
If you and I were born in the life and times of Moses, if would have been totally different. We would have needed the High priest, the only one allowed to enter into the inner court, to make intercession for you
