Simplicity - Paul Kloschinsky
Overgrowth
It used to be wild.
The virgin forest of society.
Then they came with their rules
and cross,
and morals,
and pruned mankind
into a well groomed affair.
Suppressing everything natural
and joyful,
leaving just raw remnants
of things that once were
and used to be
arms if love and fun,
until the abuse started
when desire was driven
deep underground.
But now that is changing
with the rules being rejected
and like weeds that continue to grow
because their roots are not pulled out,
the true human heart
will explode once again
after science and religion
are seen as false gods
and the raw, wild return
of the roots of society
overgrowing the pruning forces,
that once ruled with terror,
these returning forces
will transform society,
like a golf course that was left alone
and grew into a wild forest,
into a place where
people celebrate their desires,
and love,
and joy,
and faith,
the cross receding
into a distant memory
letting people live life
to the fullest
as natural as
a blossoming rose
or a tropical rain forest
in springtime.
Will
It doesn’t always go
the way you want it to go.
Like river rafters
the journey can be rough,
and the destination fixed
beyond your control.
For His will is as firm
as a snowy mountain peak
insisting that you accept
His plans for you.
Even though you whine,
and get angry,
and bargain,
and get terribly sad
in the end it will always go His way
and all you can do is pray
that He harbors some feelings
for you and your
