At the Advent of Christ establishing: His Church,

MATT 16:18-19. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.",

His Bride,

REV 19:7-8. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.",

His Body,

1 COR 12:22-27. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. EPH 4:12-13. to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.,

Church/Bride/Body in the Holy Spirit…

MATT 3:11. "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. ACTS 1:8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." LUKE 12:11-12. "When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." 1 COR 12:7-11. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy,to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. HEB 2:4. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. 1 COR 14:12. So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.

to establish it, to sustain it and to multiply it, until and beyond all of the kingdom’s have become His.

DAN 2:44-45. "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

As the Church/Bride/Body/Kingdom of Christ started to expand and convert cultures, governments and religions,those who were threatened by Christ establishing His Church/Bride/Body/Kingdom, fought back. While others organized in hopes of ridding themselves from this new phenomena for centuries.

ACTS 7:57-8:3. At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Then he fell on his knees and cried out, Lord, do not hold this sin against them. When he had said this, he fell asleep. ACTS 8:1. And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.

However it had the opposite effect.

ACTS 8:4-8. Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. So there was great joy in that city.

During this birthing time of the Church/Bride/Body/ Kingdom of Christ, the weaker believers needed revelations, that would encourage them to withstand the temptations of giving into the opposition.

1 COR 3:1-4 3:1. Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly-mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? For when one says, I follow Paul, and another, I follow Apollos, are you not mere men?

During this time, Paul makes a correlation of spiritual matters to physical matters. Not that the spiritual matters were reduced to the same futile purposes, but in hopes of at least understanding why and how the physical matters were to be used effectively. These new metaphors became the new common language, that would help new believers understand how spiritual concepts can be used as effective spiritual weapons against their unseen enemies. This is how Paul puts it,

EPH 6:10-18. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

In Romans and 2 Corinthians, Paul makes more references to armor, weapons and the correlation of how these spiritual truths can be applied to suppress spiritual enemies.

ROM 13:12. The night is nearly over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. In 2 COR 10:3-5. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ

With faith, patience and the leading of the Holy Spirit, they lived to see the Holy Spirit be poured out on the Gentiles as well.

ACTS 10:45. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.

Those who were threaten, by this new phenomena, ended up waging a sober deadening blow to Christ’s Church/ Bride/Body. Most of the witnesses that lived to see Christ launch His Church/Bride/Body/Kingdom, had died deaths that would send chills up the spines of newer generations seeking eternal life. Centuries came and gone. Each century ending like the last, with the Church/Bride/Body/ Kingdom of Christ still intimidated by the stories told on how first century believers died as martyrs. Even though at large she was intimidated, the Holy Spirit continued(s) to expand Christ’s Church/Bride/Body/Kingdom. Some expansions are easier to see than others. Some hanging on by a thread. However, like a child, this was only for a season. For we read in,

JOEL 2:27-32. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed. ‘And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

If we look at this in the eyes of a world with no absolutes, we see hypocrisy, chaos and death. If we look at this in the eyes of the Spirit and in Truth, we see an epic war between death and life being played out. God’s word tells us this epic war started in heaven. Lucifer and his hordes were removed from heaven and banished to the earth. This would be the first major battle between death and life.

REV 12:7-9. And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

EZEK 28:16-19. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’"

Lucifer and his hordes regrouped, plotted and orchestrated the fall of man. This is the second major battle between death and life.

REV 12:13. When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. GEN 3:1-5. Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ You will not surely die, the serpent said to the woman.For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

In essence, man sells his birth right of dominion over all, for an eye opening experience, which has led him down the path of hypocrisy, chaos and death. When man yielded his dominion, Lucifer and his hordes established, assumed places of dominion on the earth, tormenting man until the flood in Noah’s day.

REV 12:12. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." GEN 6:11-14. Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

After God flooded the earth as He stated, this would be considered the third major battle between death and life. After the flood to Christ, this epic war continued more or less the same, with no major noted battles.

After Christ’s death and resurrection, He set up His Church/Bride/Body/Kingdom and baptized those who believed with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. His setup and launch was extremely successful, effective and multiplying at an aggressive speed.

DAN 2:44-45. "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. MATT 11:12-13. (Jesus) From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. JOHN 12:30-32 Jesus said, "This voice was for your benefit, not mine.

Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. ACTS 4:31. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. ACTS 6:7. So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith. ACTS 12:24. But the word of God continued to increase and spread.

Lucifer and his hordes suffered huge blows. It had looked as thought the gates of hell would not prevail. Lucifer regrouped, plotted and orchestrated spine chilling deaths, to all the key leaders/witnesses of Christ’s Death and Resurrection. This would be considered the fourth major battle between death and life.

In the year which I write this, the fifth and sixth major battles have not occurred yet. The fifth major battle is best described by

REV 19:11-20:3. I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD
