      RICHES

      Many people spend their life great riches to attain

      Seemingly unaware that other riches, too, they need to gain

      Some are rich in friends who are both tried and true

      Who would never forsake one because of a different view

      Others are wealthy because of children who show great love

      Who often are like a wonderful gift sent from above

      There are those who are rich in talents and attain great fame

      Who should know that acclaim is not as important as a good name

      Many have a home rich in both love and peace

      Where ardor and concern seem to never cease

      Many women are rich in both beauty and grace

      And husbands will find them difficult to replace

      Some children are part of a family very rich in love and care

      Having parents who teach them with others always to be fair

      All people have earthly riches with which they are blest

      But the spiritual riches had by some are by far the best

      For they have great peace of both mind and heart

      Given by God to all who of His forgiveness have a part

      HONOR

      Some people are truly worthy of honor and esteem

      And quite often are found on a winning team

      Those who seek honor and respect from those they know

      Oft will find people unwilling much esteem to show

      A few are worthy of great honor and fame

      And will long be remembered by their famous name

      Children should honor loving parents who gave them birth

      And realize that good parents are of great worth

      We should honor our soldiers who gave their life, their all

      For many of them in bravery and sacrifice stood very tall

      Some people want love and respect from those they adore

      When if given, will cause them to revere them even more

      A faithful employee should sometimes be given praise

      Which also could be backed up by giving them a needed raise

      Those who are honored should not allow it to go to their head

      And show an attitude of true modesty and humility instead

      So, if you are ever able a place of honor to attain

      Be sure you never allow yourself to become haughty and vain

      PLEASURE

      Far too many people are part of a pleasure-mad throng

      Who seem to enjoy doing things they know are wrong

      Some get pleasure in making a rival feel low and blue

      Not caring whether things they tell are false or true

      Many receive pleasure each time they win a game

      Feeling sure that to lose is always a shame

      Some get pleasure in pleasing someone they love and esteem

      And look forward to the day they can become a team

      A few can receive enjoyment on the job in which they work

      And never from any of their duties would they shirk

      Strangely, some get pleasure in killing a beautiful deer

      Uncaring that to a fawn, the parent is very dear

      Many enjoy fishing or boating on a beautiful lake

      Where the problems of life they can briefly forsake

      However, the greatest happiness is found in obeying God’s word

      And voicing of joy and gladness can often be heard

      For God rewards all who His righteous laws obey

      And who from His love and care will never stray

      SPIRITUAL WARFARE

      God has a special group of people on this orb called earth

      And the only way to join is by spiritual birth

      Even children can elect to join this special throng

      By asking God’s forgiveness and forsaking all wrong

      God’s spirit invites millions to give God their life and heart

      But Satan works long and hard to keep them from God apart

      He also tempts many to give up this life so filled with peace

      Promising that he from God’s bondage will give them release

      But once they forsake God, Satan makes them his slave

      Hoping to make them serve him until they go to their grave

      God’s spirit often speaks to those who live in sin

      Never giving up hope someday their heart to win

      Satan promises to give a life full of joy and glee

      But he secretly wants them never from him to be free

      So, if you’re one of millions serving Satan today

      Be sure to seek God’s forgiveness while yet you may

      For God longs to have you in His Kingdom of love

      So your
