Whose Little Girl Are You (God's Little Girl)
()
About this ebook
The title of this book came about by what this little girl went through. Her grandfather used to say to the children, "Who's little girl of boy are you?" She now knows where she belongs. She belongs to God.
The cover was the result of a vision this little girl had when she was going through a very rough time in her life with her son. The vision is of the little girl as an infant in Jesus' arms and Jesus taking her hand as an adult.
Jesus was letting her know that He had been with her throughout her life and that He will never leave her alone.
Jesus will always be there in whatever she is going through or what she might go through later in her life.
Jesus is her one and only savior from the trials and tribulations she will go through in her lifes journey.
I pray that you will be blessed in reading this true lifes journey of this little girl who finally found out where she belonged.
Lori May Dill
My name is Lori May Dill. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am very active in bowling, fishing and church activities. I am a survivor of childhood and adult abuse. I chose to be a survivor instead of a victim. God is the most important part of my life. He has brought me through all the trials and tribulations of my life. I pray that this book will help others to see where their strength can come from. It can come from God if we let God be in control of our lives. He gives us the strength to make the best out of our lives. We have to let God into our hearts and lives in order to gain the strength that we need. We can not rely on our own strength. We can make a bigger mess out of our lives if we do it on our own. God’s blessings to all.

Foreword
This is a life’s journey of a little girl who has survived to adulthood. She suffered a variety of abuses by people she thought she could trust. Her parents, her ex-spouses and others were the abusers.
She was in the care of God through out her life. I am not writing this story to hurt anyone. I just want to show what God can do in anyone’s life regardless if he or she were abused. I have changed the names to protect my family.
This book is dedicated in loving memory of my Grandma—May Marie
Following is a poem I wrote to my Grandma at a very young age. It shows how she tried to help me when I was in dire need. You will hear more about my wonderful Grandma later.
Illustration.TIFThe Apple Tree
My grandma picks me up off her back porch
And gave me a bath.
She taught me how to say my prayers.
Some apples came down on the ground and
I picked some up.
There are pretty curtains on the windows.
The apples tasted real good.
The pine cones knocked on my Grandma’s roof.
There are a lot of pine cones on the grass
And so may cars in the driveway.
The End

Chapter 1 Do You Ever Wonder?
Chapter 1
Do You Ever Wonder?
I have a couple of things I would like you to think about before we get to my story. Do you ever wonder how a person can survive abuse?
Have you ever thought that it could happen to you, or to someone you know? Maybe it could be your pastor of you church, your co-worker, your neighbor, or even your spouse or mate.
Someone in your family might be a victim of abuse and you may not even be aware of it. No one knows when he or she might be confronted with abuse.
When it was happening to me, it did not stop, due to the fact people did not want to get involved, or it was a private matter. It is a family secret.
I know you would be surprised to find out how many people that you encounter each and every day that have been affected by some type of abuse, whether it be a stranger or someone they know. As you probably are aware of there are several types of abuse.
I have been affected by sexual, physical and emotional abuse. It is so unfortunate that our human nature can become so cruel. The reason we can become so cruel is that we were born into sin.
I feel blessed to have had someone on my side. He is Jesus Christ. Every one of us can have Jesus if we would only believe in Him as our personal Savior. He is there waiting for anyone who will call out His name. He is the only one who can break the chain of abuse if you will let Him.
The chain of abuse stopped for me by the Grace of God. The only way to survive abuse is to call on the name of Jesus. Turn your heart over to Him and allow Him to protect you. Unfortunately, some people do not survive the abuse. It is not because they did not believe that God could save them but that the abuser just went too far.
God allows us to go through some of the things we go through for His Glory. I know this might sound cruel to an unbeliever. God is a very loving God and will not give us more than we can handle. Most of the time, we feel that we do have more than we can handle. I feel like that some of the time.
Sometimes by allowing things to happen to us, God has the opportunity to use us as a witness of His love for others who are suffering. That is why I am writing this book. We grow through our trials and tribulations.
God is there whenever we need Him. I do not blame God for the abuse happening to me. I praise Him for getting me through it. I could have chosen to commit suicide or chose a life of drugs and alcohol or been an abuser myself.
I decided to learn from what God allowed me to go through and become the person God wanted me to become. I feel it made me a better person, wife and mother.
I would not be writing this book if it were not for Jesus being in my life and allowing me to go through life’s trials.
I am not saying you will be pain free. I suffered a lot of pain and rejection. I still suffer from the fall out of my abuse through my relationships with my family. I know without a doubt that God is with me and will pick me up when I am feeling down.
He eases the pain of rejection every day. I feel His presence around me each and every day. He has let me know that I am not alone. You are never alone when you have God on your side.
I am not saying I am completely pain free but I have a way to deal with my pain through the love of God.
Chapter 2 The Beginning
Chapter 2
The Beginning
This is a story of a little girl that was wrought with fear, loneliness, and uncertainty of life. Throughout her life, she suffered physical and emotional abuse. My name is Lori.
I was born on June 23, 1961, in Portland, Oregon. I was later adopted and that will be apart of my story.
This story is about my life. I want to show how I overcame abuse by the Grace of God. I want to relay the message, that no matter how bad your life may get, you have only one true Savior and that is Jesus Christ.
At that time people stayed out of other peoples business and buried their heads to abuse.
My life should have started out as any new child’s life should start, born to loving parents and a stable home. From day one, my life was far from stable or normal.
As a
