      To God, my Father, Who let me In on the secret of living a real life ~ Himself and His unconditional, complete love that is forever.

      To Verletta, my mother, a gift, a prize and an amazing woman, who made me read the Bible that I might know of God, and who taught me how to laugh at the things that are intended to make you cry.

      To all my teachers, who caused me to hear and to know God’s voice.

      INTRODUCTION

      This is an effort, from the heart, to encourage you in your relationship with God, in knowing His love for you, and in discovering who you are to Him. It is my intention and passion to offer on these pages, from personal experiences, wisdom and truth in the hopes that, for some, a fire is ignited, and for others, it might be rekindled.

      Constantly, I am persuaded by clear, undeniable evidence that God really loves. His love cannot be earned or ever be deserved. I am more than overwhelmed by the expressions of this precious gift daily. And because it has inflamed every place in my life, I must publish these words.

      Each person on the planet, at one time or another, will come face to face with various forms of challenge or maladies that life serves up. In my times at the trough, in hoping to hope, I was amazed to find a way up and unlike anything I’d ever known. It happened when I found myself in God.

      Once encountered, God ignites a fire that wont be hidden or kept only personal. The prophet Jeremiah profoundly brings light to this, explaining it to be like fire shut up in my bones. I would be remiss not to co-sign that declaration in response to the combustion in my own heart and soul.

      A quiet silence is not an option for me. I must say out loud, it is not only a privilege but a responsibility to share a few facets of God and His grace of love, that sparkle to transform. ‘Like fire’, they are contagious and consume!

      My journey began simply with prayer-talks, conversations with God. Just calling out to Him is the opportunity for God to meet you right where you are. For me, prayer is a conduit through which flows the power to live and to accomplish more than any human effort alone. Because of His intense love for us, God gives responses of grace to our prayer of faith in Him But for some, prayer is a formidable practice to be engaged in crises alone. Nevertheless, God’s love seeks us out for genuine relationship, never religion. He made me know that in the light times or in the dark times of life, He is always there for us.

      Life is problematic. God is solutionatic. Some people never get to taste and see this truth for lack of faith or knowledge or trust. For them, I pen these pages. Some people know, yet forget to remember. For them, I pen these pages. Others are aware and believing for more revelations, more glimpses of a great God. For them, I pen these pages.

      I urge you to consider, receive and savor the words herein. Take your time, linger in all that God may be saying to you on the pages that follow. And please, don’t approach this as a read to fill time, but rather a grace encounter, or an appointment with purpose, or tasty morsels prepared just for you! Place some in the fridge of your mind for a late night spiritual snack. They might refresh you, restore you, arrest that anxiety, fill the empty in your soul and warm those places in the heart grown cold. Or perhaps, just peace you out.

      I pray you enjoy this journal toward God. Whether it is new or on going, here’s to a real, growing, loving, fresh, fiery relationship with God, the One Who really loves you, baby!

      B E H O L D !

      The Word of God, the Bible, is a life changer, a life raft, a life support system! Here are a few of my fave verses that have bolstered my life and charged my faith to believe that God so loves us, for real! He IS faithful and He is well able to do everything He says He will do, FOR LIFE!

      Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He WILL bring it to pass.

      Psalm 37:4-5

      Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He WILL direct your paths.

      Proverbs 3:5-6

      I have loved you with an everlasting love... and with loving-kindness I draw you to Me. Jeremiah 31:3

      These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer. For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it FOR YOU. John 16:33

      I will NEVER desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.

      Hebrews 13:5b

      Know and believe God loves YOU! Let Him change your life.

      DAY 1

      God is the Lover of your soul! He loves you more than you could love yourself. But the truth is, God wants you to love yourself better than you do! The only way to do that is to fall in love with Him. He is the only Way to know and appreciate who you are because He made you and He knows your worth.

      One of the many awesome things about God’s love is that it is more than you can contain or explain. It is an overflowing river that swells to fill all the deepest, driest, hurting, empty places of the heart.

      It causes surrender. Its feel is an ever-increasing joy that consumes to the fullest every emotion. It wields a power that constrains the entire and very self of oneself. It is completely awesome. It is utterly vast. God’s love lifts you up, taking you in, over and outside of you, yet it never lets you down.

      Get to know God and His love. He already knows and loves you. He desires real, true, intimate, meaningful, right relationship with you, through which He will reveal Himself, you and His love for you. Your life will then reveal God and gift His love to others.

      CONFESSION. . .

      I NEED God.

      The most I have to give Him is myself, my life, my whole heart, and my soul-my mind, my will, and my emotions, which I will offer daily.

      My desire for things outside the realm of God and His plans for my life can only be forsaken by fanning the flame of my passion for God, which I will commit to do daily.

      I will seek God diligently, with all of my strength. I will yield to His lead. I will give Him my reins.

      I will commit to relationship with God, making Him my priority and first in my life.

      I want to KNOW God-beyond the pardon of my sins and in the intimacy of fellowship, kinship and friendship.

      I long to hear
