    Frank A Pellegrino

    Frank A. Pellegrino was born June 10, 1922 in Niagara Falls, New York. His parents were born in Italy and came to the United States in the early 1900’s. He attended the St. Joseph Elementary School in Niagara Falls.  In the 5th Grade, is where he learned to write poetry, a teaching that stayed with him all his life. After he left High School, he enlisted with the United States Regular Army, at age eighteen.  Serving in W.W. II, he was in Iceland, France and England overseas.  After 4 and half years of active duty, he returned to Niagara Falls. June 1, 1958, he married, Theresa Angellotti,  from Oneonta, New York (now deceased) and they were married 33 years.  He had been employed with the New York State Parks Commission for 25 years. To-date he has been retired for 20 years. After her death, he decided to make use of all his skills and hobbies.  This way he could fill the void in his life. His hobbies are gardening, writing, classical music, sports and cooking.  He is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the DAV, AARP, and CSEA. Frank has received many awards from the International Library of Poetry and one Beautification Award for his flower gardens in Niagara Falls. He has numerous poems published in Books of Anthologies with the International Library of Poetry to-date. April 27, 2001, Frank married his friend from Bloomington, Indiana, Alice Ann Davidson-Gilmore and they live a quiet, retired life in Niagara Falls, New York. Frank’s goal as a writer is not only to fill the empty void that was in his life, but, life itself inspires him.  God’s power and creations and all life surroundings, give him strength and hope for all his tomorrows.

      I was born and raised a Roman Catholic Christian. I was educated in St. Joseph Elementary School, here in Niagara Falls, New York. From a very early age, I have been prayerful and my heart open to God’s Holy Word. These poetic verses are a compilation of many prayers, truths, and examples of life’s many tribulations. I want to thank my wife, AliceAnn, for all her generous time and assistance in putting these verses together. I dedicate this book to my wife’s Godmother, ARADNA J. WALDEN-HARRIS, who has been a loving and joyful person in our lives.

      CHAPTER I

      GOD’S CREATIONS

      GOD CREATED EVERYTHING

      God created Adam and Eve,

      Created Heaven and Earth, I believe.

      He created the mountains and the breeze,

      The rivers, lakes, springs, and the seas.

      He created the sun, for good reasons,

      Also, the moon, and the four seasons.

      He created the stars and the sky,

      And the birds and geese, that can fly.

      He created things to eat, to survive,

      And kept man healthy and alive.

      He created darkness and the light,

      The light for daytime, the darkness for the night.

      He created the clouds and the rains,

      To grow the wheat, and other grains.

      He created everything good, everywhere,

      So its up to us, to show HIM we care.

      He created trees, birds and the bees,

      So we could eat fruit from them, and other trees.

      God gave us a spirit, and a heart, with love,

      So we can pray, and be prepared, for Heaven above.

      GOD’S CREATION

      Beautiful life is God’s creation

      A human life, a rose, a carnation.

      A bird, a forest, an eagle

      Man’s best friends, a beagle.

      He gave us life at birth

      Gave us a perfect earth,

      But man has sown a poison seed,

      Filled with hate and greed.

      Poisoned our water and food,

      Made our green forests nude.

      Dangerous streets, filled with crime,

      Criminals, that kill for a dime.

      To remedy this, will take time,

      Cleansing this beautiful globe of mine.

      It’ll be pefect again with God’s sterilization,

      When He re-seeds this planet, into a new civilization.

      GOD MADE EVERYTHING

      God made this wonderful universe,

      Man, unknowingly, put it in reverse.

      He made, every living thing,

      People, animals, birds with wings.

      He made, heaven and hell,

      Pure water, from the well.

      He taught us all, to love each other,

      Friends, relatives, all our brothers.

      He made, the weak strong,

      Wanted people, to do no wrong.

      He made the rivers, oceans, and lakes,

      The Jungles, with lions, monkeys, and apes.

      He made, the islands and the sea,

      Everything, your eyes can see.

      Absolutely everything, was made by Him,

      He forgives us, for our sins.

      The Bible has often been read,

      We believe in everything, that has been said.

      Where there is hate, there is love,

      God loves us all, He blesses us all.

      GOD CREATED

      When God made this great nation,

      It was the finest in His creation.

      He made everything in sight,

      And created day and night.

      Made the sun, the moon and the stars,

      He made Venus, Jupiter and Mars.

      Created mountains and the blue sea,

      The distant sky, far as you can see.

      On the seventh day,

      He knelt down to pray.

      Adam and Eve was a creative art,

      He gave them breath and a loving heart.

      Go about in Paradise and increase,

      Live together and in Peace.

      Today, we are faced with war after war,

      Every war, worse than ever before.

      We hope Peace will be near,

      In the coming New Year.

      The second coming of Christ is real,

      He’ll forgive us, He will heal.

      God Bless our fallen mates,

      God Bless the United States.

      GOD CREATED ALL

      God made the sun, the moon, and the sky,

      He made the clouds, the stars, and birds that fly.

      God made the lakes, the rivers, the springs,

      He made the green mountains, and many beautiful things.

      God labored for six long days,

      He said, He would rest on Sundays.

      Later, God made the oceans, so blue,

      He threw in big fish and little ones too.

      God ordered Noah to build a huge Ark,

      His workers, worked until dark.

      When finished, men and animals sailed together,

      They sailed in huge waves, and stormy weather.

      They sailed on and on and survived,

      History said, they lived and thrived.

      God made everything pure, nothing toxin,

      He made the corn, the wheat, and the oxen.

      God created everything on earth for man,

      And He said, produce all you can.

      God created the population, for us to increase,

      As Father in Heaven, He said, I bless you in peace.

      BEAUTIFUL CREATION

      In every corner of the planet and nation,

      We live in the beauty of all God’s creation.

      Look at the sun, sky, and a passing cloud,

      The bluebirds, the sparrows, chirping out loud.

      He also gave us day and night,

      Creation is the most beautiful sight.

      Beautiful bright stars shining in the dark,

      At night, you can hear your neighbors dog bark.
