About this ebook

Almost half of all Americans suffer from a chronic medical condition. The most common conditions are high blood pressure, arthritis, respiratory diseases, depression, pain, diabetes, and high cholesterol.

Its time to be more involved in your health care and start asking why? For instance:
Why do Americans have so many health problems when they consume so many drugs?
Why are Americans so sick when they can improve their health without doctors, hospitals, and drug therapies?
Why is the United States making successful strides in disease treatment but not prevention?

These are complicated questions, but its possible that the very drugs Americans consume are contributing to chronic health issues, along with unhealthy choices such as smoking, consuming alcohol, and eating processed and fast foods.

By understanding the business of medicine as well as the factors that put you at risk, you can take concrete steps to improve your health or prevent it from deteriorating. Ask the right questions and start learning How to Live a Happy, Healthy, Wealthy, and Safe Life.

    Introduction

Thinking about writing a book has clouded my mind for several years. As I would sit in silence or just walk quietly for exercise, I would envision writing my thoughts in a journal. Not knowing then that it is God’s intention for me to teach what I have learned, I lacked the necessary confidence to apply my vision and begin the journey of teaching those who are ready to learn.

Growing up as a young boy, I struggled with not agreeing with most of what my parents taught me, what the Church was teaching or what general society was preaching. Lacking experience and the knowing of what truths I would learn in my life, I became less popular than my friends around me. I wasn’t picked last in kick ball or made fun of in the lunch room but I wasn’t always in the popular crowd either. I simply was present and engaging on my own terms. Feeling close to my beliefs in God, I was the big brother to many, the keeper of secrets to those who chose to share their story with me and the guardian of what I felt was right and honorable.

Quietly observing and being in tune to those around me, I knew that I was different and that my Spirit was older than those around me. Even now in my life, my closest friends and mentors are several years older than me. Confidence has always come from being around those that have years of experience on me. I thrive for that knowledge and seek those who are willing to teach. Never being a conformist I think that made my family suspicious of my intentions and at times may have been the source of tension. As I have grown and become closer to my relationship with God and the Universe, I realize my true potential and the grace that God has bestowed upon me.

Education is knowledge gained and wisdom is the action upon that knowledge. I share this offering of wisdom with each of you and ask that you respect the experiences I am about to share with you by helping others along their journey towards knowing health, happiness and joy.

To set the tone of my life experiences, I want to lead you into my journey through this prayer of Invitation. Along my journey this prayer came across my path. Although I do not know the author, the words spoke out to me and guide me each day in my intention for living a peace filled life.

    The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.

I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.

I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool

for love for your dream for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon… I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain; mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy; mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful be realistic; remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another; to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure; yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, Yes.

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

"We can do whatever we wish to do provided our wish is strong enough. … What do you want most to do? That’s what I have to keep asking myself, in the face of difficulties."

    - Katherine Mansfield

    Acknowledgements

With the progression of living, God brings forward only those that are in your life for a purpose.

If not for her love, grace and blessings that my wife Dana shares with me each and everyday, I would not have had the time to spend each weekend, evening and holiday away from home that it has taken me to complete this story of my journey.

With sincerity and love of I have for my daughter Isabella whose gentle energy touches my heart everyday, I am inspired to write this book in honor of her choice to choose her mommy and daddy to share her journey as a teaching of patience, love, happiness and joy in our lives.

For my brother Todd who ensured the success of my practice while I took the time necessary to complete this book and his unselfish desire to see me become successful.

And, if it were not for Charles Lelly and his humble desire to teach and guide me, to ensure I become a healer and teacher of God’s love to those who seek me out for healing, I would not the courage to complete this book and have it published for many to read.

From the deepest places within my Soul, I thank you all for touching my life in ways that no others will ever experience. I love each of you and dedicate this book to your honor and great representation of life’s truest meanings. Thank you!

    CHAPTER I

We are living in an unprecedented time in history, where our children may actually have a shorter life span than their parents.

    - The New England Journal of Medicine

    Foundation Building

What are we talking about when we discuss disease and chronic conditions? Are we talking about internally or externally caused conditions that last forever without hope for improvement or elimination? Have you stopped to wonder what the value is to never finding a cure and why the doctors and the drug companies do not like it when you ask them questions or why they do
