About this ebook

When we look around us, we find
so much suffering in the world that we cant help but ask why? Long time ago
God in Hosea 4:6 lamented that his people were being destroyed for the lack of
knowledge. His people are still being destroyed today. The question again is
Why? As Christians, Jesus has given us the authority over all the powers of
the thief, murderer, destroyer, and our real enemy Satan also known as the
devil. Somehow, we seem to have forgotten our spiritual heritage, our spiritual
rights and responsibilities, and therefore the devil has taken undue advantage
of our ignorance. This prayer book along with the companion end-time spiritual
warfare book, Target or Weapon-Sound The Alarm
provide instructions on how to stand on the Word of God, to help you vanquish
the controlling spirits in your life.
Let these prayers be part of your daily spiritual exercise. Standing on
the Word of God causes a shaking in the spiritual realm on your behalf, because
God backs His Word and watches to perform it.

Ebenezer Gyasi

Ebenezer Gyasi was raised as a Presbyterian. In college, he was a member of the Campus Crusade for Christ, a college evangelical group devoted to training and making discipleship on campus.  After college he became actively involved in his local congregation as a Sunday school teacher, an Elder, Clerk of Session and a member of the Stephen’s Ministry, a group of lay preachers, within the congregation. His life was turned upside down after the September 11, 2001 tragedy. In his search for a deeper spiritual life, he was introduced to the Deliverance ministry where he saw first hand the power of God to heal, and set people free from demonic strongholds. He realized that God can use anybody who avails himself for His vineyard. The Target or Weapon and Deliverance-On-The Go spiritual warfare series are testimonies to what God has done with his spiritual life.

    Introduction

    The Abundant Life

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows) (John 10:10AMP).

    Why are we being destroyed?

Why do Christians have troubles in their lives?

Why do Christian women have trouble finding husbands?

Why have so many marriages fallen on the rocks?

Why have our inter-personal relations suffered so much?

Why are Christians not reaping the material blessings promised in the Bible?

Why have the work of our hands not yielded fruits?

Why have our finances not been sufficient?

Why do Christians have a hard time obeying the Word of God?

Why have many Christians not been able to harness the power and authority delegated to them in the Bible?

Why have the churches produced weak soldiers incapable of fighting the devil?

In a nutshell, why is there so much suffering and pain in the world, even among Christians? What is preventing you from achieving the abundant life?

To achieve the abundant life, you have to be an overcomer. An overcomer denotes one who is victorious. My friend, there is work to be done and there is a war to be fought before one can enjoy this victory. Listen to the reason Paul gave for wanting to stay in Ephesus until Pentecost. In 1 Corinthians we read, For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries (1 Corinthians 16:8AMP). There are many forces that oppose and prevent us from achieving the abundant life promised by Jesus. To put it bluntly, there is a spiritual warfare going on in our lives and it is about time we learn how to pick up the sword of the Spirit (i.e. the Word of God) and fight or else we become casualties, losers and not overcomers. In fact, anybody who refuses to accept the fact that there is an on-going spiritual warfare, which directly impacts on his or her daily life, is being deluded and makes the Bible a liar. But remember this, the passive will be spewed out, and the cowardly and the unbelieving will die twice and end up in the "fiery lake of burning sulfur, according to Jesus in Revelation 21:8.

On the subject of those who oppose us, let’s find out what happened to Daniel’s prayers. In Daniel 10 we read, A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, ‘Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you. And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling. Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come’" (Daniel 10:10-14).

Avoid Feeble Prayers, The Devil Only Understands The Use Of Force.

My friends, since the time of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of God suffers violence, and violent men take it by force. You need to be a violent warrior against Satan and his hordes of demonic kingdom (Matthew 11:12). Too many people don’t see the realm of spiritual battles that go on in their lives and therefore are doing nothing or little to win and become victorious in their lives. Your lack of spiritual knowledge means you can’t even help your loved ones. Your genuine attempts to help them can even make matters worse. You have to learn how to fight properly or else you will become a casualty. When you claim the prophecies or promises of God, be ready to work, to fight and to be used by God to bring to pass what has been decreed in your life.

Paul, after acknowledging his previous way of life as a blasphemer, ignorant and unbelieving, gave glory to God, the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. He then told Timothy to fight the good fight. Listen to the charge he gave Timothy, This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare (1 Timothy 1:18). But wait a minute, what kind of warfare is Paul talking about here? Again let’s listen to what Paul had to say about this important topic of spiritual warfare? In Ephesians we read, Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:10-12).

There are at least seven major battlefields where the opposing forces of good and evil, wage a fierce battle in our lives. The Realm of Principalities, the Realm of Powers and Authorities, the Realm of the Rulers of Darkness, the Realm of Spiritual Wickedness, the Realm of the Heart, the Realm of the Mind, and the Realm of the Flesh. Paul mentions the first four battlefields in Ephesians 6:12. Every human being is a potential target because we are at war. Satan wants to fight and destroy you where you have dominion, especially, the last three battlefields by directing your attention towards the things of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the love of the world. These things put enmity between you and God and hence death.

To successfully wage a spiritual warfare, you need knowledge on how to arm the areas of spiritual vulnerabilities in your life, your loved ones and those who interact with you. Without knowledge the people perish according to God in Hosea 4:6. The knowledge you acquire should include two things, first, who your real enemy is and how he operates and second, who is your source of help and power to fight and defeat this enemy. After spiritual knowledge, you need good instructions and preparation on how to use the knowledge that you’ve acquired to defeat your mortal adversary. You are now ready to engage in full time spiritual warfare. To become a mature warrior you must have an effective prayer life. However, for your prayers to be effective, you must among other things live a holy and righteous life, confess all your sins and forgive others who have wronged you.

Submit To God, Then Resist The Devil And He Will Flee From You.
