The Seventh Plane

About this ebook
This book is the product of many years of mental effort spent in the creation of philosophy and ideas. In it, you will find many ideas and thoughts devoted to the glorification of the human spirit. The spirit of this book teaches that the inner nature of Man is God; that God is the thought of being, and everyone who manifests the image of God in their body, in some way, manifests the thought of God in their mind; but that God is a thought that is greater than any of the minds that think it. You will also find in this book the life story and mental thought train of someone who has experienced the limits of the human mind; having known a mental illness that has opened up avenues of philosophy and suffering unknown to those that have never had their mind torn to shreds and cast to the dust; knowledge of the unconquerable human spirit found in all those that have touched this life with compassion.

The Seventh Plane - Craig Tanner
Preface
Good questions to ask anyone who writes are, why are you writing? What is the purpose of your book? What do you hope your writing to accomplish?
I am writing this work for several reasons. First, I feel that I have an interesting story, and I feel that there are people who would like to hear it. But this book is more than just a life story, although that is a significant part of it.
This book is organized into five sections. The first is what I call truth files. This section is a collection of short essays on what I deem to be spiritual truths. These essays vary in topic from discussions on inner self, what it means to love God, the true nature of sin, and criticisms of Christianity and the Bible. Some people told me that I should leave out the criticisms of Christianity and the Bible. But I feel that these are some of my most important works. There are people in the world today that question the legitimacy of Christianity as a religion. After all, it is supposed to be about brotherly love, but it seems that it has caused as much division, intolerance, and strife over the millennia as it has fostered love. What is the true nature of Christianity as a religion, and how does it relate to the eternal inner self of God?
The second section is a collection of selected stories from my life. To introduce it, I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in November of 1997. This section tracks how this developed and progressed over the years.
The third section is a collection of poetry. Topics of the poems range from the mystery of love and God, peace of being, and questions of eternity.
The fourth section is what I call self-reflection. This section would be of interest to anyone who is fascinated with what makes a person that has had profound bouts of mental illness tick. But more than that, it provides insight into what is the very nature of delusion and reality, and how one distinguishes between the two.
The fifth section is a short discussion on the two women I call God, Tori and Anne. Anne is the maker of souls and Tori is the maker of beings, two slightly different creations.
Perhaps one purpose of this writing is to present spiritual ideas to people who are starved for a new look on old questions. Some people may find its discussions on inner self and love of God a refreshing take on old ideas. The discussions on religion many people who are sick and tired of Christians telling them that they must believe in Jesus or go to hell may find liberating.
One thing I hope this book accomplishes is to bring peace of mind to people struggling with the questions of inner self and love of God. And helps them to realize that having one’s own views and ideas about spiritual questions is an acceptable, and even beautiful, part of what it means to be human.
Introduction
Would you be patient with me while I talk about myself for a minute?
Is anyone really interested in the experiences I have had in this life?
I could tell you about the visions I have had—I could tell you about when my mind and soul cried out I’m conquering
and ascended to the seventh plane of eternity, the Eternal Plane. And blazed with blue fire and glory—and I saw truth in myself in the presence of God.
I could tell you that I saw all the scriptures flash before my eyes as I was tempted to make myself God before an eternity of burning fire.
But are you really interested? Is anyone really interested in anyone’s life but their own? Even supposing that what I say is true—that I really did have those experiences—of what good are they if I cannot share them with anyone?
Perhaps if I showed an interst I others, they would show interest in mine. But somehow things do not work so easily.
I spent close to two years praying passionately for the blessing of others. Until finally my prayers acquired power and I granted a woman beauty and love and a day of paradise beyond the imagination of any earthly mind. But she never even said thank you and only wanted more. But my pocket book and heart had already been stolen and I had nothing left to give.
I pleaded with God to be merciful to humanity and I saw instant response—I walked though a city anonymously as the Holy Spirit made every smile bright and every eye light with love. I said only ‘let he who insists on wickedness be as they had never been’—and I witnessed as a soul was erased from the earth.
But no one repented for more than a day and I was left with my mind in shreds.
Do you know how close the earth is to paradise? Or how far? I walk though the holiday crowds, and see multitudes of people happily going about their business and I think, heaven is only a blink of an eye away. But then you pick up a paper and read about all the problems facing the children of the earth and wonder is there is any hope at all.
Jesus said, with faith the size of a seed, mountains can be moved. How come no one ever does it? Are we all really so wicked? Why can’t we unite our hearts and solve all the problems of the world in the blink of an eye?
Was Jesus the son of God? Why don’t any of his teachings deal with the real problems we face? He never taught how to deal with heartbreak, loneliness, depression. Or did he? He said to repent of your sins and have faith in God. But is life as simple as sin and faith?
Why don’t people heal though faith anymore? Or raise the dead? If there are so many Christians in the world, why do we even face disease at all? Is everyone really such a phony? I tried to give a man his leg back, and Jesus spoke to me and chided me for trying to wear his ring.
I still await the fulfillment of my heart. I wonder if I’ll ever really be complete and happy; am I just a hungry ghost, always wanting more? But I will not be at rest until the Earth Herself is at rest.

Part I Truth Files
Chapter 1- Truth
People staying together in kindness is the only thing that keeps us from suffering
Healthy give and take relationships are the secret of happiness
Heaven is a state of understanding of one’s self, one’s creator, and one’s place in creation
Communication is the only reality
The secret of healthy relationships is found in open, honest communication
To have life is to love one’s inner desire
A greedy inner desire is not love; for love gives with passion, while greed takes
Coming into being is the realizing of one’s inner desire
Love without truth is a sad thing. Truth without love is a scary thing
Love needs truth to protect it from its innocence; truth without love knows how to destroy
Karma is the fruit of one’s efforts and the child of one’s destiny
Peace of mind is knowing one’s self to be loved
Graven imagery is wrong when it takes images of beauty from creation and twists them to serve selfish ends. Advertising, technology
One day the world will return to the old way, the sacred way; in which life is lived with reverence, and the Gods, the Great Spirit and the Earth Mother, are worshiped with truth and love; and this time of greed and rampant consumerism is left behind forever
Courage versus coward: the courageous is uncertain of himself and seeks trials to prove himself. The cowardly knows himself to be a wimp and just runs away from trials
The meaning of life is in maintaining the safety and fragility of innocence for all innocence
God is not in this world because I am strong, powerful or smart; she came here to protect and glorify innocence
Sharing another’s pain to reduce it is the highest act
