About this ebook

WHAT A POWERFUL BOOK!

Veronique Prosperes experiences, voice, and presentation style are unique, and I think this distinguishes her book from others. God has promised to bless His Word and to cause it to yield fruit that will honor Him. This book is, indeed, a perfect vehicle through which God will fulfill His promises. The book is an enjoyable and exciting read for everyone. At the end, you walk away with not only a biblically sound set of strategies for success in life, but a strong sense of who God really isit opens your appetite for more of God in your life.

    About the Author

Veronique Prospere, the daughter of Felix and Josephine Fevrier, was born in Derniere Riviere, St. Lucia.

From the age of twelve, she had a strong desire to serve the Lord as a religious sister, but that dream was shattered when she met her husband, William Prospere, and gave birth to four children.

Nevertheless, she found time to labor in God’s vineyard by making regular visits to hospitals and homes for the elderly. There she prayed and encouraged the sick and depressed with the Word of God.

As the Word of God commands in 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Veronique pursued courses of study that qualified her for ministerial work. In 1978–1980, she pursued a course of study in teacher education at the St. Lucia Teachers’ College, where she was awarded a certificate in teacher education, approved by the University of the West Indies, School of Education.

During her career as a qualified teacher, she successfully completed a three-year summer course in guidance and counseling with the St. Lucia Teachers’ Union in collaboration with the Canadian Teachers’ Federation.

In September 2003, she was enrolled at the West Indies School of Theology, St. Lucia extension, and obtained a certificate in Bible and theology in July 2005.

Since then, she has been very active in ministerial work in her church and community.

She can be heard twice weekly on one of the nation’s radio stations, Rizzen, where she teaches on divine healing every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.

Veronique is a highly committed servant of God who has drawn many souls to Christ through counseling and her healing ministry.

    Introduction

While becoming a qualified school teacher, I had to undergo intensive training in and out of the classroom.

I went through sleepless nights planning lessons and preparing teaching aids. I had to acquire methods and skills in order to teach each child effectively.

As I moved into the spiritual realm, I realized that I had to use the same strategy. There were methods and skills to be learned in order to pray effectively.

I prayed regularly but with few results and little satisfaction. This was due to the fact that I was raised in a church where prayer was taught as recitation. I was taught to read and rehearse the prayers of others. When I became a wife and mother, I had needs that were not expressed in my prayer rehearsals. There were situations in my life I wanted to share with the Lord, but I did not know how to reach Him.

My desire for a closer relationship with God grew stronger, and I started spending quality time reading the Bible and other Christian literature. It was there that I discovered the promises of God.

The promises were written in the Bible, but how could I obtain them?

That question was answered when I read, believed, and performed Mark 16:18 (KJV), You shall lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover.

At that time, my son was ill with a very high fever, and we were preparing to take him to the doctor. I believed the Word I had read, and I went on to lay my hands on his chest. I prayed the Word of God in Matthew 6:9–13.

As I prayed, my hands became wet, and my son’s whole body also perspired. The fever left him at that moment, and he was well again.

It was then I understood that the Word of God is true and powerful to those who would believe.

The Word of God then became my focus in prayer, which led to many spiritual victories.

My faith grew stronger, and I gave my leisure time to minister to the sick and the oppressed. I truly honor God’s Word in Matthew 4:4, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

With this truth, I organized prayer groups where the Word of God was taught as the basis for prayer.

I also realized that there are many all around the world who would like to know the Creator and have a close relationship with Him. There are many also who would like to learn how to pray effective prayers, prayers that would help change life’s difficulties—prayers that would lift life’s burdens and create a life of joy and peace.

Therefore, it is my sincere desire to share my prayer experiences and triumphs to help those who are struggling with their prayer life or desiring to begin a life of prayer.

    I hope the testimonies
