The school bell rings letting all the kids out of school for the day. The kids that take the school bus get onto the bus and the kids that walk home started walking home. A group of three teenage girls were walking along the street just outside of the school and then two of the girls turned right at the intersection to go to their home. The two girls said See you tomorrow, Sarah
to the other girl.
See you tomorrow guys,
Sarah replies back. Sarah kept on walking down the street that she was on by herself. She noticed that it was safe for her to cross the street, so she crossed and kept on walking in the same direction.
Sarah was walking along and she went to walk by a white van, when the side sliding door flew open and a guy jumped out of it and grabbed her and pulled her into the van. There was somebody else driving and as soon as the other guy got Sarah into the van, he started driving away.
At about 4:27pm the phone in a big mansion started to ring. One of the maids answered the phone. Hello!
May I speak with Mr. Gibson, please?
asked the man on the phone.
Yes, I will get him for you
said the maid. The maid went looking for Mr. Gibson Mr. Gibson! Mr. Gibson! The phone is for you.
Hello! This is Mr. Gibson. Who is this?
Do you have a daughter, named Sarah?
Yes I do. Why are you asking?
Because I have a little girl here named Sarah and if you want her back you will have to play a little game with me. You will have until 11am on Wednesday to find your daughter or she will die.
Who are you? Where is my daughter? What do you want?
said Mr. Gibson in a scared voice as tears started to go down his face.
All that I want is to play a little game. And if this gets out that your daughter has been kidnapped, Sarah is dead.
Wait! Let me speak to my daughter, please?
said Mr. Gibson.
No, you can’t speak to your daughter but I will tell you this that we have not harmed a hair on her body and we won’t, as long as you can find her by 11am on Thursday. There is a letter in your car. Just do what it says.
Then the man on the other end of the telephone, hung up.
When the man on the other end of the phone hung up, he turned to Sarah, who was tied up to a chair in a small room, and he said your daddy better hurry or you are going to wind up in a pine box, six feet under. Do you know what that means?
Sarah started to cry really hard. She couldn’t say anything because she had her mouth taped shut with a piece of duct tape.
The guy said Joe, go and get everything ready go. We will leave about 7 o’clock, that way nobody can see us when we leave with the girl.
Ok! Frank,
answered Joe.
Back at the Gibson mansion, Mr. Gibson hung up the phone. Then he ran out to his car to get the letter and went right back into the den to read the letter. While he was reading the letter, he yelled out Sophie!
Yes sir!
Sophie , one of maids, answered.
I need you to do me a favor. Go and get Mrs. Gibson, right now, please!
Yes sir!
Sophie said and then she ran out of the room and went upstairs to get Mrs. Gibson. Mrs. Gibson! Mrs. Gibson!
What is it, Sophie?
Mrs. Gibson replied.
Mr. Gibson needs you down in the den, right now. He seems to be very upset because he looks like he was crying.
Ok! Ok!
Mrs. Gibson got up out of the chair very quickly and ran down the stairs and went into the den. What is it, George?
Close the door.
George said to Kathy. So, Kathy closed the door of the den. I have to tell you something but this can not go out of this room and don’t panic, OK?
What is it? You are starting to scare me, George.
I just got off the phone with this guy. He said that he has Sarah…
WHAT! Somebody kidnapped my little girl!
Kathy said in a loud voice, with an upset look and tears going down the sides of her face.
Yes! But he said that if it gets out that she has been kidnapped, he will kill her. So, we can’t go to the police. Just calm down and let me figure this out.
Calm down! Somebody kidnapped my little girl and you expect me to stay here and do nothing?
Kathy said in anger.
"Yes! Because if you
