A Prophets Path to His Heart - Brandon J. Stearns
Introduction
First off, let me say this, the very fact this book is in your hand tells me (1 you already know you are called to be a prophet. (2 you have an idea that there is a prophetic call on your life or (3 you don’t know either but your spirit was intrigued at the title of the prophet and your gift that God placed in you has attracted you to this book, and more than likely this book will stir the gift and reveal confirmations of the call on your life. My writings are aimed to help the child of God in any way I can to develop and grow in God. This book is aimed to cause you to seek God in a greater way and be as close to Him as you can get. I am trying to give solid foundation and purity of heart to the child of God with a prophet call. To give him tools to grow and save him time costing mistakes if possible. Remember this one thing; There is only so much I or any other man can teach or say that will propel you into your call, God must draw and increase you at His will. He must reveal His call and voice in you. There are things that can only be learned by experience and time being taught by the Holy Ghost. The scriptures say that God will reveal Himself to the prophet in a dream or a vision. Samuel was revealed the word of the Lord. Not to mention the many times in the word that He showed Himself in powerful ways to His prophets. I believe that God will reveal Himself to His prophets in a distinct way. He continually has done this in the scriptures. Isaiah saw the Lord and His train filled the temple. Think about something, how we see and know God will be the root of the purity of the word of the Lord. How I understand God makes a huge effect on how I relay His heart and will. This is why I believe the prophets see Him first in dream and vision. And He said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream
(Numbers 12:6). God said that if a prophet be among you then this is how I will reveal Myself to that man. I have spent much time in prayer and seeking God to get into the core of His heart. I have put much study and meditations and received much council from GREAT men of God the Lord placed at my side and over me. I have studied the word of God and allowed the Spirit of God to teach me. My hope is to pour it into your spirit and prick your heart and cause a change and impartation into you that will ignite a fire in your inward man.
Preface
I, Brandon Stearns was born July 21, 1975. I grew up in Sonora California and lived an above average life. I was always taught to follow Christ but decided to go the wrong way. My life was in shambles for 10-15 years after graduating high school. My life was wrapped inside of drug addiction and alcoholism. God spared my life multiple times that were unquestionably His mighty saving hand. I spent time in rehabilitation centers and was in and out of jail finally landing a 6 year prison sentence. It was in the back of a police car that I finally said ok Lord change me
as my head was against the window. This was when I committed to serve the Lord who was always taught to me growing up. My fire was lit by God on May 1, 2004 in the back of that police car, and has only been fueled since. All glory to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ who gets all the Glory. He came into my heart and broke addictions off of me and delivered me, and set me apart unto His peace and kingdom. I spent 37 months in prison and I have been serving Him with all my heart now for nearly 7 years. After walking with the Lord and chasing after Him He revealed the call of the prophet mantle on my life. My zeal passion is to relay Gods heart to His people and to stir up the children of God to seek Him. I aim to be the matchmaker between God and His people.
Acknowledgments
God has ordained great men of God around me and over me. First and foremost I give thanks to the Lord. I also give special thanks to Pastor Mitch Rodgers who has spent many hours mentoring me over the last 5 or so years. This man has paid close attention to protecting me from bad elements. I also give special thanks to my Pastor/Apostle Kimothy Bankston who is an anointed man of God, who has supported me in too many ways to mention. He started mentoring me even while still in prison. Both these men have spent much time in prayer over me and have been God sent. I also thank God for the many ministers, Steve, Larry, Ronnie, Joshua, and many others that have been around me in our Church and that have been placed around me and that have encouraged me. They are great men and women of God. A big thank you to my beautiful wife who supports me and is by my side, she has had no complaint at the many hours I spent in this book and in prayer with God. Special thanks to my mom and grandma and other family that did not give up on me but waited in prayer for me. I thank Teri and Russ for their help also in reading and editing. Thanks to Dirk and Carol Travis from Sierra Photography for the cover photo.May the Lord bless them all. Again I thank God for placing such great people around me.

Know the word of God
For thou has magnified thy Word above all thy name
(Ps 138:2). There is no greater name than the name of our God! His name endures forever and no one will move it, or take it from Him. Yet He puts His word above name. If God magnifies His Word above His name then, we as the children of God must read, live, breath, hear, know, love and walk in the Word of God. The Word of God holds EVERY answer for every question and has direction for every human on earth. It is the book of life. There is a never ending source of knowledge inside the word. The more you read the word the more you see the puzzle come together. The more you learn, the more you understand you know nothing, and have so much to learn. You may read over scriptures for years and then, at the illumination of the Spirit of God it comes alive like never before with fresh revelation. All the boundaries of heaven and earth are governed by the word of God. Everything was made by the word; nothing was made without the word. Everything made by Him is subject to the authority of His word. Cross the boundaries of the word and suffer the consequences that are written in the word. Keep the word and reap the promises and blessings written in the word. God told the prophet Jeremiah this for I will hasten my word to perform it
(Jeremiah 1:12). Hasten (strong’s8245) in Hebrew, means: (to be, alert, sleepless, to be on the lookout, hasten, remain, wake or watch). God is, in a nut shell, alert, sleepless and on the lookout, and remaining awake to watch out that his word is performed to its fullness. He is just looking for someone to take Him at His word. He is pleased to perform His word. He takes pleasure in performing it!
Man shall live off every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Mat 4: 4). There is life in His Word. Every ministry that God has planted and birthed in our lives no matter what it is will be built on the very Word of God. It is the foundation of everything. You know it is amazing to me that we in the world, can find a machine or computer to seek out faults in cars, computers and many other things. We then fix the problems so these things run to their best ability, but the word is not rightly divided and many are a mess. We say we want to know God but think it will come without time in the word. We act as if God will just make it easy and come to us in a vision or a dream and bang, we know Him. Let’s get real with ourselves. "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the councel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of
