The Root of Fear & the Anchor of Faith
()
About this ebook
I believe that we are living in a time where God is challenging us to see past our fears and failures and draw closer to Him. Faith gives us the courage to stand and the ability to press forward; we must dare to be more than what statistics have implied that we shall be, and become all that He has intended for us. Faith is the key!
NOW, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen! Hebrews 11:1
Evangelist Crystal R. Spencer
I dedicated my life to the lord on Palm Sunday 1987. Since then I've played a very active part in ministry. I've held such positions as President of the praise and worship team, Church Anniversary chair person, Youth Pastor and member of the Executive Board of my former church. I also created, edited and designed our church magazine for several years which included writing the majority of the stories and church events. As part of the Multi-Media Ministry, I also designed additional event programs, brochures and flyers. I obtained my Ministers license in September of 1996 and was later ordained in July of 2001. I successfully completed and graduated from the Black Ministers Program at the Hartford Seminary, located in Hartford, CT in October 1999, and am frequently called upon to minister in several churches in and out of state. I believe that my joy for teaching and preaching the gospel is what has inspired me to write this book; and because I have written based on my own life experiences and life-changing events and accomplishments, I believe that it will be a blessing to all who read it. I currently reside in Hartford, CT, and serve as an Associate Minister in my local church, and have vowed to make preaching the gospel my life.

Dedication
First and foremost I thank God for the call on my life, for anointing me, and giving me the wisdom and the opportunity to write this book under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
To Him be all glory, and honor, and praise!
I thank God for my mother who has taught me that I could do and become all that I set my mind to be. Her greatest words of inspiration to me in trying times were, you’ll come out like a champ
.
To my four children, thank you for the love, support and strength that you’ve given me through the years. I love you more than words can say!
~ Tito – Kristen – Dexter – Brandon ~
To my spiritual father, Apostle John E. Wilson, Pastor and Founder of Saint John’s Full Gospel Deliverance Church; I thank him for his teaching and guidance in my spiritual growth and ordination. Working with him has encouraged, and steered me into a life of faith and ministry opportunities.
To my pastor and first lady, Jesse J. White, Jr., and Elder Lorraine White of the First Church of The Living God in Hartford, Ct., thank you for your love, encouragement, teaching and prayers.
My heart rejoices when I hear my pastor ask
the members this question;
Will you study with us
?

Crystal and I have known each other for 46 years now. That’s a long time to know someone. Just so happens that Crystal is my older sister, by three years. As her baby sister, I have had a bird’s eye view of Crystal’s life. Forty-six years has allowed me to see Crystal’s transformation, an incredible one considering where she began. To see her now makes it hard to
