AUTHORS BIO
I am just me, a man that seeks God’s will daily but, one that acknowledges my flaws are many. At fifteen years old I began writing poetry, songs about how I saw life and the world around me. While I seemed to care about life I was living mine rebellious, very riotous, doing things my way not Gods way. I was not brought up in a religious home but in my heart, I have always known there had to be something much better then this life on earth.
Then I experienced a beautiful young girl die in my arms in 1980. The last breaths of this beautiful girl brought deep sorrow I had never felt before and it changed my life forever. The sad thing is we had never met before that night.
Not wanting to think any further of the torments of this life I to tried to end my life a week after she had taken hers, I was 23 years old at that time. I was fed up with living the lies, confusion, and the pain this world can bring, they were wrenching my heart and tearing at my soul. God however, had other plans for my life and I became an associate pastor of a small non-denominational church in Las Vegas, Nevada 1981. In the Spring of 1982, I left that church to work on my personal life and my hope to find Gods will in my life. Throughout the years that followed, I have traveled from coast to coast, into the by-ways and highways, including mission work in Mexico.
Through it all, I have been shown what God meant by the just shall live by faith and what it truly means to walk in his spirit. I have learned over the last 31 years what God meant about trusting him to establish my steps. See, when I walked in my own ways I faced nothing but problems, consequences, and feelings of great loss in my life both physical and spiritual. However, when I walk in faith believing, I know the power of God fully guides each of our steps.
In 2008, I had my first heart problem and then in 2009 I suffered a heart attack, then I was told I would have to have open heart surgery. My only thought was disappointment at myself, because I felt that I had forsaken so many of the wonderful things God had shared with me, and that I would not be able to share those gifts with others. So soon after my release from the hospital with the help of friends, we compiled my poetry and songs into an inspirational book called, A Journey that was published in February of 2010, through Xlibra Publishing .
Coming out of the Hospital I had a new motto; God gave me a clean heart and a new start to share the gifts he has so richly blessed me with, today I share them with everyone I meet. I am ordained by God above, called unto this season to share the blessings that he has shared with me. It is time for me to speak the word of God boldly, without compromise and without favor, or fear. This I speak as one that has walked through many fires in this life, been to the grave and beyond, yet by his grace I am still standing. It has not been by might, but by a gentle spirit, with the heart of a child, that now I see the beauty of his grace in me.
I am A CHRISTIAN, a man of God but far from a perfect man, it is Christ that makes me whole. Most of all he has taught me to see the beauty of his grace and that I share with you through his letter’s to us.
BY FAITH IN CHRIST WE STAND.
PREFACE
These letters address our questions and quest in life, such as; Who are you God? Why God do bad thing happen? God do you love me? Why does Love have to hurt? What is my purpose in this life? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do people get angry? Why do we face depression, oppression, and possession? How do I know if someone truly loves me? What is the purpose of the Church and why do I need to go to Church? How can I tell the truth from a lie?
Christ said, he is the way, the truth, and the life. You will never know the father till you come to know the son, for I and the father are one.
The letters are about life here and beyond this world, the depths of his words will touch your heart as you read his letters to you. Within the letters you will see how much Christ truly does love you.
This book isn’t about religion, but rather about his love for us that lead us to a life more abundant. It is about our choices that we decide and the conclusions for the choices we make. Letters to make us think about the depths of our lives, as he gives to those that seek him and the rewards lost by those that don’t seek him.
Denomination, you will find is a word that Christ dislikes, as he told the religious folks before, a house divided can not stand. He has seen enough division among those that call themselves by his name and yet do not stand united in his name. His letters will define the truth and purpose of his church and that we have lots of work to do quickly, because it is harvest time and the harvest is great.
God has seen enough of mans sacred cows and works without faith. It is about a personal relationship, each of us, one on one with our creator. Even more it is about being true to ones self and loving our neighbor’s as well.
It is his hope you will better understand the decay of morality, should mankind finally choose to grasp it. As you will see, the letters make it very clear, who he is and what he seeks from us, and the choices rest in our hand to accept it or reject it.
I have walked in my own way and walked with the lord for over thirty years. Many fires I have faced in this life but, it has always been by his grace that I come through them. What an honor it has been for me to speak the freedom he gives in all of our lives. I now understand how huge his love is for you and I.
Your money can’t by you one second more in this world and you certainly can’t buy your way into the next. Soon you will see the true value of life and understanding that it is so much more then this life you live. You will see that true wealth is a gift from the heart and the willingness to share that gift.
As you read these letters some may find it contrary to their religious believes, however the truth is the truth and a lie is a lie! In the end God, still sets on the throne. The letters will allow every reader to find God in a personal way as Christ said, let every man work out his own salvation with fear and trembling. This is not to say, God want you to be afraid of him. Quite the contrary, he wants you to come to him boldly, as he said. To get to know him personally one on one and the greatest thing he said to us was, COME AS YOU ARE.
I Pray it will renew your faith in God and let mankind as a whole understand that we all have the same responsibilities towards each other. That we are called to love one another truly, forgive each other truly, and learn to live truly under the shadows of Gods wings. To humble ourselves, to realize Gods ways and not those of our own. The beautiful part of his letters are, that it will allow each of us to truly take a good look at who we truly are and why we truly exist.
This book is one of the greatest love story you have ever heard or shall read, it has been my privileged to write it.
It shows Gods grace extended unto us and how powerful grace is when we share his grace with others. He asked, all of us to love our neighbor as ourselves, when
