    Scott Allen was brought up in the horse-racing town of Epsom. After discovering he was too tall and heavy to be a jockey, he turned his attention to football. At sixteen he started writing for fanzines before becoming a professional sports writer, editor and digital-content specialist. He is a West Ham supporter, but we don't hold that against him. Scott now lives in Yorkshire with his wife, two children and cat while writing his books, including LLamas go Large and Llamas United. He likes Twiglet sandwiches and still has ambitions of becoming a pirate or an outlaw.

      Introduction

      Today’s schedules are packed full of work, activities, and family events and church. Let’s face it we are busy. We find ourselves getting tired just trying to keep up with everything and then a storm comes into our lives and we forget we are not powerless to effect change. Jesus promised He would never leave us or forsake us. We may feel forsaken, we may feel lonely but we can’t operate by what we feel but by what we know. We know He is with all who believe. We know He loves us, He died for our sins, we know He is coming back, however sometimes we forget He gave us power. The Word teaches us that as many as believe on Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God. That promise is for us. If you believe on Him that promise is for you.

      Our challenge is to remember each and every day that we have power living within us as a child of God and we can access that power to live an abundant life before we get to Heaven. We don’t have to settle for getting by or just surviving, He wants us to live in abundance. He wants us to live with joy. Joy knowing the Lord is still Lord regardless of our circumstances.

      We may not know how we are going to pay the next bill, live without health insurance, deal with sickness or handle the struggle of a marriage going bad. The truth is Jesus is greater than any of those things. It is time for Christians to draw on the power of almighty God and call
