Introduction
Born in the Fall of 1962, I grew up in the small town of West Newton, Indiana. [Don’t sneeze or you’ll miss it!] All my favorite memories of childhood blossomed there. Sometimes, I can still smell the fresh country air, Especially in the springtime when the creek that flowed just beyond the back yard Would rise from the April showers.
Mainly a loner, extremely shy. I would spend most of my time at that creek which ran just beyond the back yard. The most memorable of all, was the old gigantic hollow sycamore tree That held strong to the bank of the creek! That tree seemed to be a doorway to Happiness. You could enter the tree through one of the two natural doorways. Once inside, the emptiness rose through the top, which held another opening that Looked straight up to the heavens!
Years later, serious problems came about in my life!! Through prayer And self meditation, I started putting my thoughts on paper. These thoughts became Words of Inspiration and poetry. Inspiring me to bring these words from my heart to others. I believe growing up in such a beautiful, natural surrounding is what helped Inspire me to write poetry. I hope and pray my poetry can touch the hearts of others And give inspiration to a more fulfilling life. I write poetry from my heart, and bring to Life through my fingertips.
I would like to say that no matter what life throws at you. No matter how trapped you feel by all of life’s turmoil. You can Rise Above The Fences that keep you trapped, and look around at all the beauty in this world, release yourself! I know it can be done, because I did it! I now have a beautiful loving wife, self
