Does God Really Talk

About this ebook
Many readers may relate to the
cover of this book in how they view God and His speaking, where He is distant
and above the clouds, rather than being close and personal...like a friend.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Organized religion has perpetuated the notion
of a God who is far away. This religious
system has stifled spiritual intimacy between God and people and replaced it
with rules and rituals.
Though Bible
scripture and her personal experiences Dr. Washam shows that God is an
intimate, personal, talking
God. Who desires to be involved in every aspect of our
lives...everyday issues and extraordinary trials.
Dr. Washam
shares her experiences as though she were conversing with a familiar
acquaintance; she speaks to us rather than at us.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Through this book, the reader will know
without a doubt that God Does Talk, and that He
desires to speak unto them! The reader
will learn the ways in which God speaks and the hindrances that can keep them
from hearing the voice of God.
In these uncertain times it is
vital that we hear and know the voice of God so that we can make good decisions
that will ultimately impact the course of our lives.

12695.jpgTo the Holy Spirit, my best friend, you have been my main source of existence, and encouragement, my teacher, my guide, and my daily provider.
All praises to God, who has commissioned this work in my life. I say thanks to all persons that God has positioned and filtered in my life to be a part of my growth and development in Christ.
Dedication
12698.jpgI would like to dedicate this book to my beloved mom, children Nicole, Eric, and Tyrone who showed me such love and support and were instrumental in my writing of this book.
To my family at Hope Christian Tabernacle, I love you and thank God for your continuous support in all my endeavors. I especially thank God for allowing me the opportunity to seek his face and learn what true love is in him.
Foreword
12700.jpgIs God talking today? Yes, He is still talking. There were times even with myself that I thought I heard the voice of God. But then I was told by well-meaning
Christian people that God talked to the New Testament Apostles, but He doesn’t talk today, and that He talks to us in His Word. Well, there’s nothing like finding out for yourself! Yes, God does talk to us in His Word, because when we open the Word of God, we open the mouth of God. But He talks to us in our spirit-man as well. But then God is God, He’s just God, and He can talk to us anyway He chooses. He is not limited to what man thinks of Him. As He said Himself (in Isaiah 55), My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. As high as the heavens are from the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.
In each chapter of this book, the Holy Spirit through Dr. Washam, is making it clear that God is forever talking. The question is; are we listening? I have noticed that some of the Body of Christ
have gotten so caught-up in the hustle and bustle
of this world’s system, that they can’t hear from God anymore. Sometimes, we can get so busy doing the work of God
that we forget that we need relationship with the God of the work.
But then too, sometimes busyness can come from the enemy so that when God speaks to us, we can’t hear His voice.
When God speaks, it requires us to come-up.
When He speaks, He brings us to decision. He requires clarity. He’s God like that. When he speaks it’s always with Purpose.
His voice brings Peace
to your mind and spirit, so much so that your flesh realizes that it must
come under subjection. When God speaks, darkness must
flee, because Absolute Light
is speaking. When God speaks depression and oppression must leave you. Yes, our God is forever speaking to us. We’ve got to be quiet so we can listen.
Dr. Washam is an Awesome woman of God. She moves very Heavy
in the Anointing of God. I’ve known her for many years, and she is still the woman of Integrity that I met long ago. It is a Blessing
for me to have such a Woman of Power, connected to my life. As you continue to read this book, and the books to come, (because there are many books in her) you will know what I mean. God bless you and yours.

Endorsements
12702.jpgI am honored to write an endorsement for this great servant of Christ. Her wisdom and compassion for souls has never ceased to amaze me. There are not many people who have a passion for God’s Holiness and effective Christian living. God has given this generation a lover, first and foremost for Christ, and the balanced development for His souls. May the Spirit of the Lord bless the work and vessel for His honor and continual glory.

12704.jpgIn a world full of uncertainties, questions, and unreconciled issues, mankind like never before needs to discern, hear, and obey the voice of God. This theological discourse allows and/or gives room for the theologian, the new convert, and/or the inquisitive seeker to come to a greater understanding of whether or not God really speaks. For centuries, mankind has desired to know more about the complexities of life and within this human existence many have discovered an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Creator who is able and more than willing to communicate with His creation. In this text, Dr. Mary Washam deals with a rather complex issue and with the guidance of the Spirit gives way of understanding why, how, and when God really speaks to His people.
I have had the pleasure of coming to know Dr. Washam as a comrade in ministry, my Pastor, and an Apostle with a tremendous apostolic vision, message, and purpose for God’s people in this era.
This apostolic message will without question transform, reform, and inform your way of thinking about how and if God really speaks.

12706.jpgDoes God really speak is the age-old question. Many struggle with this simply because God is a Spirit whom we cannot see. We read His Word and He speaks, we pray, asking and petitioning Him and He speaks, but more intimately,
